I like this Thomas. He’s serious but lighthearted at the same time, speaks well of Toney at the end even though he knows he may leave.
Yeah he comes across as a really nice fella. What he’s done at Brentford is excellent, because he got them into the Premier League and he’s managed to keep them there and they’re well established now and are a very strong team who are difficult to beat.
@@nickxcore74😅😅😅 3:22 😅😅😅😅
Mr Frank you mean?!! You're not his friend
He is danish so
Utd will buy .....
We’re pretty far from the 2000s and 2010s when Arsene Wenger spent 9 million net over 10 years and qualified top 4 every season. Football changed forever in 2003 with Chelsea and then in 2008 with Man City. And now Newcastle have come in as the latest Middle East state backed club and taken off.
Which is why I respect clubs like Brighton and Brentford who spend limited amounts of money (relatively) to achieve their targets. Thomas Frank is a brilliant manager too.
brighton especiall7 they spend little money on unknown players they turn them into superstars and they sell to big clubs for a lot of money. brighton now have £150 million from caicedo and Macallister
You need to remember that Wenger still had a top 4 wage bill unlike Ranieri / Leicester's title winning team which has to be the biggest miracle in footballing history.
@@db10cruz31top 4 wage where. Signing 12m Petr cech as the only player in a whole summer window doesn’t sound like a top 4 wage to me.
@@db10cruz31true but the wages arsenal were paying were not that high against the top six. Think we were the bottom out of the top six
@@abdihassan2426I mean Brighton have largely followed Brentford’s lead- their Director of Football is the guy who helped to put our current structure in place and get Brentford promoted.
Loool he's actually pitching him 😂😂😂
Thomas is just the best. Taken us to this level and will take us to the next, whatever that may be. Amazingly calm and has his philosophies and ideas that seem to work;)
I have lived in London all my life I have next seen a Brentford fan outside off a match why is that

Having an owner who actually wants the club to do well is invaluable.
He is a great person.
Every Brentford match, the moment this man pulls out his magnetic clipboard, I start jumping with excitement because I know he's figured the opponent out.
😂
That’s completely wrong , his board came out on weekend …..
@@user-tu1bi9wl3e The board coming out isn't a guarantee for victory. It's just fun to see the team changing their play style at that time to counter a specific threat from the opponent. They only lost to a penalty goal.

Thomas Frank is such an underrated manager.
On one hand, as a Brentford fan I fully back Toney to come back and be stronger, but on the other I find it very difficult to understand the concept of taking responsibility officially but then coming on to a podcast to blag his way out of any responsibility.. he spoke about how at Northampton they had people come in and talk about how gambling had affected their lives, then within 20 minutes answered that he hadn’t heard of gambling addiction until the FA we’re pulling him up for betting on football… there’s no grey area if you’re not allowed to gamble as a footballer. I’m fully against gambling companies being on football shirts and advertised to prominently, but the sad reality is that football cannot survive without its influence. I wish Toney himself had sounded more enthusiastic about his teammates and time and Brentford… it just sounds like a stepping stone and no dues given to the club who put him in the spotlight in the Championship and then the EPL.
Love him as a player no doubt he’s class but does seem to have that sort of Sancho attitude and controversy off the pitch with some of his antics
@@n4ht4n80he was mainly betting on himself to score it’s not like did something horrendous
@@n4ht4n80"Sancho attitude."
Lol, it's always "attitude" you people bring up with certain players. Have a day off mate. It's boring now.
@@Sf-shh nah more meant him slagging off Brentford every time he has a drink or goes on holiday
@@rzblde only have to go back a few years and see he’s been fined by dortmund and Southgate for his punctuality plus pep getting rid for attitude. Anyone could see the kind of lad he was before he went to united and now that’s come true. Hardly an unfair dig is it
I’m not even worried about Ivan, I’m thinking about Rico
he is a gem .. take a bow Thomas Frank
Ivan Toney 2.0 the BEAST I luv it Frank, luv it.
Ivan Toney has Arsenal written all over him if he's up for it
Class act
He’s setting the stage to demand £150 mil for Toney 😂 good one Thomas 👍😂
Man Utd Incoming
Didn't Toney come third in terms of goals behind Haaland and Kane?
That's a decent striker in my book. Probably going to be worth £100M easy in today's market
top bloke 🤝
They're going to suffer without Toney even if they manage to keep mid-table this season. Any club would. Be interesting where they are position in the table at the end of the season. Well run club.
Everyone makes mistakes. When you have sponsors allowed on every team shirt you can’t blame players. For me I would take Ivan Toney at arsenal in a heartbeat in January 🙏
Ivan Toney at Arsenal would be a threat to City just maybe.
Of course you can blame him he’s an adult and knew the rules and regulations just because some shirts have advertising on doesn’t mean it’s ok to gamble on your own team to lose..
For their budget. Brentford are massively overachieving, it just shows what a club can do when its run well. Brentford is my second team, great club.
Same
This is the first time I'm listening to Thomas talk. I must confess I really love the way he talks
People go on about Ange this and Ange that, the most likable manager in PL is Thomas Frank.
Ivan Toney would be a huge risk for a big team in January. He wont have played any football in 9 months and will suddenly be playing for a big club after so long out will bring massive pressure
really amazing job what he did, every top clubs fears brighton, and they able to beat clubs with 10-50 times higher budget from them
I’m never gonna understand how a current manger is allowed on MNF
Toney to arsenal agent raya will make it happen
You know
I like him
Ivan Toney 2.0. oooohhh baby
He's genius started marketing for Ivan toney 😂😂😂
what a great manager
Ivan needs to respect Brentford and stay put, not only will he not have an enormous price tag on his head he will play week in week out. I have a feeling he’s the type of player that makes a big money move that he may regret and vanish off the radar.
4:55 Ivan Toney talk
Helt enig!@@Riot_Games_Support
Missed opportunity for "Thomas' frank opinion on Ivan Toney'
respect to this guy, hes done an incredible job
Judging by Tony making the media rounds I think he knows too. He’s out of there
Finishing in the top half of the premier league is a very good achievement in this day and age
Crikey he's got a good lid
Love that guys hair! I’d like a mane like that 😂 but I’d need to go to Turkey to get it 🤣🤣🤣
Nothing to see here just Thomas being Frank 🥴
Thomas please sell Toney to Arsenal and take Eddie in return plus cash!
im sorry but if utd can sell mctominay for 50 and maguire for 30 then toney who is the second best striker in the prem is very near 100 atleast people need to stop being soo corrupt six media blind about this
No way getting 50 mil for Mctominay we be lucky to get 50-60 for Mcsauce and Slab
Betting against your own team deslicable
Surely the Brentford hierarchy wont like Thomas being soo FRANK LOOL
Ivan Tony to Chelsea
More likely he would come to Arsenal.
😂
Poor man
Chelsea needs osimhen
Footballers should just play online slots that’s allowed right? Could win much more I’d of thought
Toney constantly belittles Brentford. He is ungrateful and doesn’t care for the club he doesn’t deserve to play for a premier league side just because of his attitude
Because Brentford is a selling club there is no next level - they need to maintain the great level they have already achieved (top 10 - top 8).
No chewing gum today frankie?😂
United will end up spending 90m on him 🤣
Or here?
Ivan tony great guy
Chelsea needs this manager
The same way they needed Graham Potter?
Does not fit chelsea at all
Please don't ruin this man's career
No they don’t they will ruin him like they did Potter
Chelsea and United at the minute are destroying managers because of lousey players
Another sky video, another "honest opinion" so boring now
😢❤😮😊
TF’s secret is in his ears. Rumor is that he can hear the thoughts of his opposing managers.
What is carra wearing 😂
Why didn't he call Brentford a top club? Why does he say move players to a top club? Weather it actually is or not is a different matter. He must as a manager always think that his club is a top club. So they can move higher. Im not a Brentford fan but i don't think they are not a top club. All Premier League clubs are top clubs. Besides the ones that are delusional caugh caugh ManU.
Hated. Adored. But never ignored.🤣🤣🤣
I think he just means size financially, Brentfords budget is low due to low revenue, probably unheard of globally. They are a great club though.
Come to Liverpool ivon you will fit in and be a top class addition.
Wouldn't bet on it 🤣🤣

Is this guy a Top 6 manager?
Frank sounds like he wants a bid for Toney
How has Thomas frank not included west ham in that bracket?
I guess because they fell down very slightly in the league last year, even though they achieved a lot in Europe.
Because they were in a relegation scrap last year 😂
Because you nearly got relegated
Lol
They are outside the top 6+3. He is referring traditionally to a big 6 of City, Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Spurs. Then he named the +3. West Ham, are a club within the bracket that he described as 'having to do something outstanding to break into that'. I think that is fair. Im still not convinced by Spurs. Think they will experience a drop off. Also, United will struggle to finish in the top 6 this season IMO. That may open the door for the likes of West Ham, Brentford, or others.
salesman
Throughout this whole show Frank was playing the Oliver Twist card as if he didn’t bid £45m for Brennan Johnson, £35m for Nico Gonzalez and £35m for Johan Bakayoko a few weeks ago
I can't say for the whole show, but in this clip he mentions difficulty to compete with bigger clubs.
Money isn't the only challenge to get their target, they gotta attract them to the city and the club as well (difficult for the Brentfords of the PL)
I don’t think that’s completely fair. They weren’t ever going to spend £115m, they moved targets from Johnson to Gonzalez to Bakayoko. If they’d got one of them, they wouldn’t have gone after the others. In the context of silly money & the Premier League, they will have the smallest budget outside the newly promoted teams.
@@LogBomb Yeah I appreciate that they weren’t going to buy all three, but I think bidding £45m for any player contradicts the sustainable narrative, especially when you consider that Ollie Watkins is still their record sale at £28m from when they were in the Championship. I actually like Thomas Frank and think he’s doing a great job, just thought he was playing the ‘poor me’ card and Jones/Carra were feeding into it throughout the whole show.
@@pulkitjain2361 Yeah I agree with that. I think Brentford’s a pretty easy sell to most young players or mid-level PL players though. Get to live in London, work under a great coach and be at a stable club with less expectation who will sell you to a bigger club if they get a good offer as Frank says. My point is more that isn’t this the dream position to be in for a club the size of Brentford? I just think that as Brentford manager you can’t say ‘we can’t compete’ when you’re being given £45m to bid for a player, you’re already in dreamland
@@hjc9912the difference is they can only spend 45 million on one player and that would probably be it
I love my manager!! 🤍❤️
That gk is very bad. Flekken loses so many points wheresas Raya saved many. Oh yeah and I forgot Maupay? Really? Shade is not worth any money either. So alot has gone wrong recently
