      I'm glad you found the guide useful! Tbh after this Comiket it does feel like the weather has gotten even rougher again so I'm thinking of adding on more stuff when we get to next summer but till then hope this one served you well!

      @@overworkedsalaryman Yeah the etiquette section was really helpful! I'm tailing along with some tryhards in a couple weeks for my first Comiket, so I'll probably be rolling solo at some point going through the Blue Archive circles and taking a few 最後尾 signs! Now to plan how to break up my 一万円bills on the 9th 🤣

      @@happysweater019 Oooooh, guessing that means you're going in early huh. I wish you the best of luck in finding some hopefully cool stuff. o7
      One less disruptive way to split notes is to buy stuff at any store that uses an electronic cashier like certain convinience stores or to use it when buying train tickets since the machine can churn out change for a 500 yen ticket even if you put in 10,000 yen
      Also arcades. Some have machines to let people exchange for smaller notes/coins for the machines which you can use for this too if it gets tough

      It was errrrrr very late in the making yea lol XD
      Realised I should've gotten it out a lil faster to make it in time for the people buying early tickets for comiket this summer but got so caught up in everything else this took a lil longer than expected.
      Hope it's informative still though nonetheless

      @@overworkedsalaryman Just finished the video, and was 100% informative! One thing I didn't know about was the web catalog online...
      and to my dismay, I think I purchased the wrong early tickets. I wanted to be in the East hall for Blue Archive, but for some reason I got the Southwest tickets... I think I'm doomed...
      Anyway, thanks for the vid! Most of it confirmed what I had initially prepared for, but definitely didn't know about the jelly meals and electrolyte water. I'll be sure to buy those instead.

      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      @@JanGamma I'm glad to hear it was of use, that's quite the relief. If you bought the south west... it may take a while to get over but considering you're there on the early ticket you should still be largely fine I think. You should still be able to get across earlier than the morning people should be able to get in I think you just lose out some time compared to the other early peeps. Though as long as it isn't any of the crazy popular booths most stuff should still be around even if you take a lil longer to get there so I'd say no need to worry just yet!

    Something that I never see mentioned, but I recommend leaving early, if you take the train. Last comiket I left around closing time, and had to wait 1h to get into Kokusai-Tenjijou station (while there was some boomer doing some speech right next to us the entire time). Next day I left ~4PM and the queue was only just starting to form

      @@DragonplayerDev That is true, usually I just leave based on vibes so it completely left my mind that this is a thing. Good thing you brought that up, usually alot of different people including cosplayers and circles leave at that time so the crowd is immense in comparison

    for the comike web category, paid version do not cancel it immediately, you will not get access after you cancel it, and there is no internet, so recommand to download the pdf after you finish planning it

    Great video! Loved the categories, food stuff and the tips on Ariake Station. Some stuff to add from another video I watched and my own research:
    -For tickets, you can buy them from stores such as Animate, Melonbooks, AkibaHobby, Toranoana.
    -For winter Comiket, if you're coldphobic, bring pocket/body warmers or "hokkairo". No need to stick em on, just put them in pockets for a toasty warmer.
    -For doujins you want, sort into tiers by priority (Must-have / Aim for / Maybe)
    Some stuff on the ticket tiers or cosplay would've been nice, but great work nonetheless. Hope my first Comiket this winter goes well!

    • @overworkedsalaryman
      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      Oh yea, I should've mentioned the stores specifically too you're right. Same for the kairo for winter.
      Usually I'd stick them between two the 3 layers I wear in winter since that way I don't get heat burns from them being too close and it keeps the heat trapped too. Maybe I should've mentioned the most efficient spots to paste the too at that point though a live demo in summer would've been tough XD
      Thanks for bringing up those points though. Was worried I'd miss things out so it def helps

    Yoo a comiket guide nice. Went to natsu comiket last year as a japanese language student, now coming back as a japanese salaryman.
    Also actually won early entry day 1 this time so I guess im on the tryhard tier.
    I was severely hungry last year so I will take note of those liquid food thing you mentioned.
    Idk about the poncho thing because i usually just prepare an umbrella and use sunblock last year. That worked fine although a few parts of my body still got sunburns but nothing serious happened.
    Missed out on some stuffs last year especially from bocchi author's circle booth so hopefully I can get those this time around.

      @@kztune3962 Ooooo hello fellow salaryman! May your days be full of sunlight and overtime free o7
      Grats on early ballot though, hope you manage to get in way at the front.
      If you umbrella has a cover and isn't the cheap transparent one you could use that to shade from the sun it should help with that at least. Poncho is more for rain in case it happens since all these years spent in queues taught me that in the wrong situation the umbrella wont be able to shield your bag which might cause it to flood with water as well so a poncho is something i'd use to protect against that but depending on the bag you bring an umbrella might vry well work fine too!
      Good luck getting your stuff this year tho 🙏 Bocchi's mangaka's booth does tend to have a rlly long queue

    Cosplay changing room ticket?

    • @overworkedsalaryman
      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      @@KunjaBihariKrishna Basically for most events in Japan people are told not to come to the event in cosplay. Instead one would need to use the on site changing room for that
      In the case of Comiket there are the early access ticket and the standard ticket for cosplay which have to be purchased for that purpose. The early ticket allows one to enter the changing room starting 9.30am (before regular entry) and allows for entering the site at 11am

    Nice Neru. That being said... dude, you gotta maybe get rid of some of the clutter in your room. It looks like a death trap/ fire hazard. Although, I do see a lot of Japanese people online take pictures of their rooms and they're always filled with paperback books, magazines, (doujin?) I just find that interesting since print media is practically dead where I am the US.

      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      Yea I prolly need to pack some of the stuff soon, the only problem is where to move it to. Was thinking of moving to a bigger place if anything but the cost 😥
      Though yea print media is surprisingly still quite common here alll things considered with novels, manga and the like still being available and having limited edition versions at times it feels like. Really like collecting those but the space isssue orz

    Thanks for the informative video! I’ll be traveling over for C104 as my first Comiket, so this video was very helpful. I am a casual tryhard and can confirm I was not dropped on my head lol. I do have a question:
    When do stores typically sell out of Comiket morning tickets? I’ll be in Japan 2 days before it starts so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get a ticket at one of the stores. It looks like I might have to go for the e-ticket instead.

    • @overworkedsalaryman
      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      @@tetragonx The tightest i've seen someone get it is 2 days before but we had to go across like 15 shops to find it. I'd sy at that point either go e ticket or purchase from melonbooks and collect it at their store through the store collection choice they have
      That said, best of luck and stay safe during the event!

    I got an eticket for the am entry because I'm from overseas. It says I have to pick up at 8am at a park nearby, do you know anything about the queue?

    • @overworkedsalaryman
      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      From a park nearby? From what I know usually they let you print it prior to the day itself at a convenience store or collect it at one of the major retailers for the tickets but if they're talking about a nearby park there are a couple on the day itself which they might use.
      On the day itself if you come by kokusai tenjijou station they do have english signs pointing to the specific park they are using that time but if you have the page details just send it to me on twitter or discord or something and I'll see if I can see exactly which park it is.

    In your opinion, which comiket has the worst weather: summer or winter?

    • @overworkedsalaryman
      @overworkedsalaryman  Před měsícem +1

      No worries and I hope this video actually helps when you do manage to go in the future 🙌
      This might just be due to my own difference in tolerance for both but I'd say summer is worse. With summer you have more things to take into precaution like shielding from the sun, wearing for the heat and hydrating even better etc whereas with winter most of that kinda ends up a lil better like with the rain being snow instead so it ends up being less annoying and likely to soak your stuff it's just whether or not you can handle 0 degree temperatures. If you find that not too bad then you're good 👍
