Great video guys. So good to see Joe back and the smiles on both of your faces. I have the EAT-14 which I upgraded with the motor and ESC from the 144010 and it's awesome now although it also has the annoying delay. Cheaper than buying a new car too... 🤣😎

To be honest, 😅 I also have a 144010 model...😂 but I modified it about 80% on the third day after I bought it...😇 The accessories I used are carbon fiber frame, 120A ESC, 3650 4300KV motor, 7 channel, lowered body, tires and 4S battery, etc. The speed can reach between 150 and 160kmh...😅 But the road must be long enough to run a better record...😅 I just watched the Vietnamese anchor's video teaching how to modify it and then I learned it... I love this model... 🥰I also wish you a long and healthy life together

I got one of these a few days ago. Excellent little car but adjustments have to be made from the start. Wheel alignment and diff grease are the first two things to do. Spares are pennies so for a sub £100 RC car I don't think it can be beaten for performance and for the price of a 3S battery you really do have an absolute rocket on your hands. Of course it has limits, its not an out and out basher, jumping 20ft in the air will quickly confirm that but if you're realistic with it, it should last and out perform everything else at the price.

They improve one thing but mess up the next thing. I really wonder how nobody found this delay annoying during testing. Luckily you can indeed replace the transmitter/receiver to fix most of this. Great review!
Might as well buy a better car from the get go without having to upgrade right out of the box!

I got mine today and what really spoils it for me is the delay… apparently it’s the handset, if you bind the controller from another Wltoys car it stops it

I have the 124016 v2 and love it - looking at getting a 1/14 scale to add to the collection and like the look of this one (many parts are interchangeble too I think?) thanks for the review and durability test 👍
almost all parts are the same except chassis and central drive train - the parts that are longer since one is 1/12 and the other 1/14.

hello Wltoys 12428 and 12429 is the same parts?? And what the best 12428 or 12429?
It's not the radio reciever that is delayed it's the esc. I changed out the radio/reciever to my dumbo & it still did it. I changed the esc & it works fine now.
If you have the blue shell 12 scale Wltoys, V2... Bind that to the 010 and it get rid of the delay buddy !! )

It's already much better with my flysky GT5. But indeed it's also not the greatest esc. You get what you pay for ...

Great review.....Nice car for the price....they just don't last under normal use....for $100 more it's worth it to buy an e-revo 1/16 ......you will spend the 100 bucks in parts on this model in 2 months. Imo

I bought a wl12428 and broken it, and so I bought some spare parts and found out the original ones were sticked together really tight and I couldn’t take it apart to repair it 😵💫
Heat gun and drill will sort that buddy
Heat the screws up with a heat gun. They put too much lock tight on the screws.
They are a pain to work on that’s for sure…

What to get for the holidays or a year of best times compilation! Because of you, Kevin Talbot, RAZ, Hardcore Rc, rc sailors, and a couple others I'm forgetting to mention got me into this hobby during the pandemic. I'm a custom car builder in central Florida with a 14 acre horse farm (tons of rc room). This hobby and watching you brought me out of a huge depression. I'd get a 1/10 scale Redcat over this any day. Redcat has more parts availability.
Fortunately, the delay can be fixed
To check for cogging don't punch it, give it just a little bit of throttle

Got my daughter a 12428. Nothing but junk. Came as a 3WD, RF axle was already broken and while she was out on the first run driving down the road the rear driveshaft broke. She now has my Slash 2WD, just slowed it down for her. She's 7. Almost forgot about the cogging. 3/4 of the we had to push it to get it to go. I won't by another WLToy ever
No way this would've lasted so long without breaking most of it
well i have a wltoys car and they are pretty strong for the money ( yes they are not Arrma EXB strong ), mine has A LOT of upgrades and is pretty scary sometimes.
