Can do wltoys a979 again
Great videos @TheRcKiwis would you know If the WL toys 284131 body will fit on the K989 Ford Fiesta rally car without mods
I put some tiny, glue on heat sinks and a gyro on my 969. So much fun! Thanks guys!
Thanks for your video. I tried the WLtoys mini. I enjoyed the cost, and it was fun to kick around with the WLtoys car, but my Kyosho's has better driving response overall and, I think, a more scale look.
I would recommend the WLtoys for someone just getting into the mini-series on a budget, no doubt. The Kyosho series is still king, IMHO, for its wide selection and superior handling.
thank you guys so much!! this is awesome
They NEED to check out the naming system lmao
No lie.
Looks alone make me want to buy it. It's peppy and looks well suited to the parts of the skate park you ran it on.
I enjoy this vehicle. I just got it and the drifting is fun. I hope to find some new easier drift tires. The car actually squeals it tires when accelerating and I like that. i am 100% happy with what I got bang for the buck. Fun. Happy trails!
Beaver Hobby put a metal differential and driveshafts from a mini Z into his 284131 for more controlled Drifting.
Beaver Hobby is a master of his class when it comes to 1/28 RCs. His k989 upgrade guides are epic.
Sweet as, loving ya vids Chur. I'm not a Kiwi but grew up with many in the neighbourhood as you do.
I have the little Ken Block Ford Fiesta knockoff K989 enduro one and itâs a little badass car. When the weather is bad outside and I want to get my Rc fix still I hit the basement track with it.
I am soooooo excited!!! I ordered one Friday and cant wait to get it!!!!!
was it good?
Great video guys. Truck looks so good. I might buy one!
Love this channel cuz you review everything :)
Have some helis coming soon too! đ
Thatâs a pretty sweet little RC. Might have to pick one up and throw an FPV camera on it đ€đŒ
Great vid!
Nice little drifter, good speed also, the lights look great, maybe do a driftsession in the dark? Bet it looks epic.
Thanx guys for yet again an enjoyable video!
I love the k989 series this one too, I put 1/24 and 1/25 model bodys on them and make custom extended chassis to fit them, 4wd or rwd. Iv made a diy vid on my channel.
Watching all of your wltoys videos, really make me want to order a couple.
did you end up doing it? mine comes today and wondering about upgrading and things to do out of the box for better performance
@@mcstench8913howâs your rc did you get the one in the video I ordered some for me and my brothers hope they last!
Hello there,
I'll take two WLT machine's with lot's of nice upgrade's over a Kyosho any day...Great review by the way.
i got the k969 Porsche model, with no diff and damn i like it so much
Thanks for sharing. đ
Recently found yâall channel nice vids yâall should get a drone for filming the cars
We have a drone and used it in some of our video ;)
@@TheRcKiwis thanks for replyingđ I got my first rc today(a959b) and I broke the chassis in 20 min a how to change/upgrade chassis vid would be great in the near future
thats indeed a nice mini RC đđŻ
One of these looks so much fun for that money
I ephing luv you guyz!!!!! Yer vidz r aepic!!!
Legend!
Cool Video đđ
Cheers mate!
3:27 NICE
Meetool chesee and nats, love it.
Would be great if they made these in different colours so you can get a few to race with friends
paint
Pretty cool đ guys đ„đâïž
I got one , itâs wicked â€
Purchased, via the link and discount- UK. Thanks
Awesome! Cheers mate đ»
Cool little car and it's great how the wltoys stuff almost always comes with lights
Yes, it sure adds another level of detail! đ»
Greetings from Germany. Can you put a purchase link to drift tyres for the Wltoys 264131
Wltoys are wicked I ran 12428 for over a year they take a beating
More steer - put the steering link on the highest position.
C.O.G. MOD - experiment with weight ballasts. Shrink wrap a pair of quarters and double sided tape it to the front side of car (top of reciever). Experiment with different weights that works for you.
Awesome tips, thanks đđđ
mine comes in today, would you recommend i try the weight thing on mine as a first time drifter? or is that more of a fine tuning thing for someone with more experience? thanks!
I find it hard to believe the pro driver liked the hand piece/cotroller
Hair color looks good. Whenâs big Man reviling his hair?
Iâm sure itâs thick and awesome dude.
Peace
Peace
I have to.m very very so much fun with this mini rc car..
Can someone tell me if it uses 7mm hex for wheels?
Wltoys probably got a number generator
Link to the drift tires u put on it?
do u know any places to have rc bashing in auckland
Do Mini-Z wheels/tires and bodies fit on the 284131 or K969 with minimal modification?
most AWD wheels from the Mini z should work .
Check out beaver hobby, he's made videos about it
Do you guys stay down south or up here in the north
Where is that skatepark, so sick!
This ones in Halswell Knights king park ;)
You can try to copy, I even have non-Kyosho mini models, but the quality is very different, the construction, the licensed bodies, very well made... there are no comparisons with other minis. The Mini-Z is more expensive, yes, but they are much better.
Hey guys. Where in NZ? I'm building a track in Queenstown. I'd love some help and advice to start a RC club. Chur
Love Queenstown!! We are in Christchurch. What kind of track are you making?
Which one would you recommend?
This one or the k989?
New truck version has LED lights, and a rear diffuser.
Otherwise they are the same chassis/electronics as the rally version with the rubber tires.
K969 (Porsche) comes with the hard drift tires and locked diffs out of the box - you can buy a set of drift tires for about $10 or 3d print them. Locking the diffs is pretty easy to do yourself too.
@@ferfzero4333 thanks
definitely this new version... K989 just has a couple too many flaws that are ironed out decently with this new truck
I had this car then one day us didn't work. Didn't drive forward or backwards. Just ordered a MINI Z
nice đ hope you guys take that to the drift track Wltoys vs Mini Z đđœ
The track was/is in Japan. They're in New Zealand.
Hong Kong ;) Going back there soon

It's Christmas everyday
You'd have to be bat shit crazy to choose a mini Z over this. WL toys make some great stuff, tons of upgrade options and cheap as chips. It's an brainer really..đ
I'm still rocking my X-mods.
I'll have to grab one when I can...wait a sec...isnt this just a k989?
With nice looking led lights and a rear diffuser and better front bumper.
its got most of the kinks ironed out with some more upgraded parts out of the box
MINI Q1 VS MINI Z AWD
Good
nice
Sweeeet đ€đŻđ
Dont you guys recognize that it looks JUST LIKE the Arma infractions body and the barbons tires they mixed those 2 and the mini z car
You mean like the hoonitruck? Lol
its tiny hoonitruck
'
wish american company can make their own mini- car races
I want a girl that loves toy cars how lucky is this guy
Hong Kong????
Going back there soon ;)
Buying one đ
Lost the body clips already đ
...đ€
Can you guys do some reviews on Bezgar RC trucks
I'll take the wltoys for 55 dollars
Broooooo. You have a BULLS jersey onđđđđđ yeaaaaaaah buddy, repping SA lol.
đ đ»
taking the body off just to turn it on or off is a deal breaker for me
Its funny, afterwards Ambers like " you take the body off to turn like all the cars on..." đ but it is nice if you can reach in there without actually taking the body off
@@TheRcKiwis sorry i don't understand. can you turn it on/off without taking the body off???
@@socialjusticewarrior2316 cut a hole in body
@@socialjusticewarrior2316you can reach it but its a tight squeeze
The brushless version is so much nicer
what is the brushless version? link?
Thereâs a brushless version? Never seen it.
i dont think they make a brushless version of this..? link would be nice
@@mcstench8913 I donât either lol
ĐĐŽĐ” ĐČ ŃĐșŃĐ°ĐžĐœĐ” ĐșŃпОŃŃ ?
a mini z is 100% worth every dollar you pay for, kyosho deff knows what they are doing.
i mean but what if i wanna drift without spending $200
@@mcstench8913 well then buy some none hobby class garbage. Or don't drift đ€Ł
@@riskeyrotors967 đimagine gatekeeping toy cars hahaha thinking you're somehow better than people who play with cheaper alternatives
@@mcstench8913 gate keeping ? No you've got 3 options literally ... Either spend the money on something quality, buy junk ... Or just don't drift đ€Ł
The choice .... Is all yours
@@riskeyrotors967 i lose brain cells every time i have the displeasure of reading your reply
RC is one of the areas where you do get what you pay for.
GEEEEE imagine that the tools included with the truck actualy work on the truck! HOLY SHIT!
Didnât come with it my boy
didnt come with a tool lmao
RC Caaa
yes for a beginner but for serious race, no way ;). Mini Z (and GL Racing cars, AMZ BZ, ...) are better but very expensive.
Did you see how well a pro did with it . Get that good dude ...then spend the big bucks
lmao if a pro driver says they're actually decent.... these are amazing little cars. no shot im spending $200 to do the same thing
đđđđ

Amber I love you
Considering the amount of material, very expensive!
And why is there a metal reinforcement? For such a light car isn't a metal chasis more than enough?
Wow! Cheapskate. Stick with Tyco.
The upper chassis brace adds significant stiffness and keeps the front and rear gearboxes aligned to save wear and tear on the gears.
If you convert it to RWD/FWD you can run without the brace if you want more flex.
@@rotten2209 fr
expensive....? bro these cars as cheap as it gets for the performance you get.... im really not sure of any other company that makes a ready to drift out of the box car for under $60
