Hi Guys, love all your rc car videos! I have heard that the wl toys 144001 comes from the factory with dry differentials, like many rc cars. I neglected to lube mine on a deerc 302e and when it started clicking it was too late. I lubed it and it locked up when I test drove it, thankfully it's only the rear one!!. I'm wondering if the noise you hears in yours is one of the diffs starting to go south. Just some friendly advise. Note, replacement diffs are availale for wl toys for about 15 - 20 bucks on amazon, but lube it when new, then it's no more worry and you save several bucks. Thanks and keep up the good videos!

Goes to show the amount of mark up losi and the likes make when 99% of the car is plastic and three times the cost of one of these. Transmitter is also infinitely more pleasant to look at than the offerings of losi team associated and traxxas. Not sure why but those companies are incapable of making a non ugly transmitter. They are highly offensive lol. HPI makes the most handsome transmitter imo tho.

Two things to be careful with:
    1. The ESC goes into Low Volt Cutoff very low at about 6.3v.
    2. The thermal cutoff does not seem to work. During hard grass bashing, I heard a "pop" and the ESC let it's smoke out. The plastic was melted and the heatsink was hot enough to fry a pork chop. The temp cutoff should have not let it get hot enough to melt.

You can ask 100 people whats the right kind of grease to use, and you’ll get 50 different answers. I use waterproof marine grease. You can buy it at any auto parts store for a few bucks and you’ll have enough to last for years. As for how much? Enough to provide lubrication for the gears, but not so much that it’s stuffed clear full. Let’s call it, “a dollop.”

My friend bought me this for my bday ( he lives across the country) and I had no idea what I was walking into since I've been out of the RC car game for aaaages. I had a RC10 B3 that had some slight upgrades, so some pre-assembled thing? Expected it to be just ok.
Uhh, this thing is better built, faster has 4W drive and I'm blown away.
My old car cost something like ...$150 just for the frame which didn't come assembled, I think it had the motor? But no servo or speed control, receiver, controller, etc. So it was another $70 for an electronic speed control and IDK how much for the servos since I think I just used one my brother had from the early 90s that he had in his King Cab.
So for $130 for something that's this fast and ...pretty damn durable? I'm blown away. My first crash with the old B3 destroyed the shocktower because- naturally they made it out of graphite for some bloody reason. My first crash with this car broke 1 of the arm joints that took 5 minutes to replace.

It was fun at first but then the rear diff went and then the arms and spindles kept breaking. Got tired of waiting forever for replacement parts so I eventually sold it. BTW lots of the LC Racing replacement parts fit the 144001. But I'd definitely buy an actual lc racing or tacon soar before I buy a other 144001.
