    Thanks for sharing this video I've seen many ways ppl tie the dongle and this looks a good idea. I mainly use pulley rigs made of trident tackle, having a length of 70Ib mono about 6' terma link to one end, bead, dynaform, bead then a termalink on the other end. For doing the dongle I can take off the roto bait clip and clip on an imp, on the other termalink I can clip on a fast link clip which the hook is put onto in place of the perfection loop, the dongle bit a piece of 150Ib mono a double crimp on one end place the loop on the hook bend then pull down and crimp in place still having slight movement, the other end put on another double swivel and check for loop size on the imp before crimping it in place I think this will work perfectly so going to tie some of these rigs up and go for rays and hounds, thanks again for sharing your videos jansen I've followed many tips, good luck and tight lines on your next session 👍🎣🎣🎣

    Been using Gemini clips for that, works really well, also great for ready bait ups ready to go, easy.

    my version you dont have anything tied onto the hook apart from the shank and eye. just simply make it the same as a carp fishing hair rig but with a longer hair,shrink tubing and a rotten bottom on the bottom and all tied with a knotless knot

    • @zefe3886

      Wait.. i dont get it as i dont carp fish. but is there a video about how to do it? or what is the rig called?

    I think sea fishing is going down the carp road everyone obsessed with types of rigs. i get you have to use certain rigs for certain ground and fish. But its getting a bit mad lol

      Good anglers will always be open to new ideas, evolving existing ones and problem solving. Carp fishing has evolved massively over the last twenty years, sea anglers have maybe been a little slower on the whole. It’s fun to experiment though!

    Have you tried this dongle tactic, not on a pulley? Looks like it could be killer for a close in bass bait? Almost tempted to carry a couple of pre baited frozen hooks when out lure fishing, just for that moment when you want to freeline a crab instead. Clip the lure off the gemini and clip on a pre baited circle hook with a big old frozen peeler.

    What's wrong with putting that clip on the other end of the snood at the swivel? Have a few tied with of various hook sizes and snood lengths. Works a treat I've been doing it for years.

    • @VealsMailOrder2898
      @VealsMailOrder2898  Před 5 měsíci

      Nothing wrong at all with that, personally I found it was easier to store spare hooks than complete snoods.

    • @VealsMailOrder2898
      @VealsMailOrder2898  Před 4 měsíci

      I use a clip on the braid as a loop is unreliable when clipped in to a Splashdown Solo bait clip.

      @@VealsMailOrder2898 i was using 300lb braid with a loop tied in the end, and clipped into an imp for casting. Didnt release it, the plastic part pulled the braid through the clip and the bait (crab) somehow ended up slid up the braid and wrapped around the hook?

    Sorry don’t see a need for clip.
    surely a simple loop to loop like fly fishing will work and be lighter every hook pre looped ready to go.
    A simple circle of line on hook will do
