    As always guys, thank you so much for your support I can’t tell you how much it means to me. You can of course support the channel by simply watching my videos to the end, reading the viewing the content on The Art Gear Guide and leaving comments along with likes, all for free, you have nothing at all to give and in return I am constantly giving away amazing art sets, free giveaways open to everyone no matter where you live in the world, I pay for postage.
    If you would like to support the channel financially, of which all money goes back into buying art supplies to review and improving the production value etc, you can subscribe to my Patreon Channel. For as little as $2 a month you get access to many tutorials, colored pencils, marker, watercolor, pastel, mixed media etc. You can of course subscribe more than $2 a month, as much as $15 per month, but that is up to each individual and I set it at $2 because I wouldn’t everyone to gain access. Ive not added a tutorial in the past few months but I am working on a fantastic Absolute Beginners Guide to colored pencil artists and this has been so widely requested.
    Finally, if you would like to follow my day to day personal life and get to know me and my family a bit better, you can click the links below and follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, I also have a Threads and TikTok which if you are on those platforms I’d love to see you over there. I am always adding work in progress images of the art projects I’m working on, photos and video clips of my Siberian Husky Koda and occasionally my family.

    Harry, you are far and away the most conscientious reviewer on CZcams - I’d even say the most conscientious CZcamsr of them all. As such, I have every confidence that your viewers will thank you for letting us know what you know as you you have come to know it, rather than fault you for something you had no possible way of knowing. You are absolutely wonderful to care so much about our experience with this, but really and truly, this is on Derwent. The whole Chromaflow rollout has been a … “shouldn’t show,” if you will. When the first sets rolled out - 12 & 24, IIRC - in the US, the word was that these pencils were aimed “below professional grade,” strictly for coloring book artists - and that the 24 set was the largest one that was even going to be available. Then, as larger sets began to trickle out, it was presumed that they had had good success and so were were expanding. But then, it expanded again … and it wasn’t until your review and art project that I had any notion that these pencils were anything beyond, perhaps, student grade. The 150 count was, as you say, a clear reach for the Prismacolor market, and I almost bit, but didn’t, and I’m glad.
    Imho, you’re right, something is rotten in -Denmark- Derwent, and has been for a bit. To me, the first sign was the disastrous Procolour, which I leapt at - and which now sits unused in its tin. The lightfastness alone was reason enough to make me regret that purchase. IIRC, there were no early open stock Procolours available, either, at least through Blick. But Derwent’s pre-rollout promos were so glowing, so effusive … I waited and waited for them finally to reach the US, and once they did and I finally had them in hand, I felt deeply misled. And that was Derwent, Harry - not you.
    Next came the crazy-quilt, piecemeal rollout of Lightfast - unlike anything I’ve ever seen for any art product from any company anywhere. Next came the Artists’ reduction horror show - such that my wooden box is now more a time capsule, housing historical artifacts, than the working set of brilliantly transparent colored pencils perfect for aspects of my work, drawing minerals and crystals. And now, we have this Chromaflow open stock debacle. Havoc, wherever I look - and that doesn’t even begin to address strange Derwent Academy offerings, like watercolors and gouache that seem to be universally panned (no pun intended - they’re in tubes! 😂). The entire scenario speaks, not only to an overall reduction in quality, but would also seem to indicate dysfunction within the company itself. It seems that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, and both sides have forgotten the traditions through which they have had a handshake- and good-faith agreement with their customers for over a century. I hope that this turns around for the better, and soon. Although in the US, at least, when a company begins this kind of downhill slide, it can be difficult to turn around. Derwent has always been better than that, and I wish them better now. And as always, Harry, the very very best to you, who takes care of us better than anyone, and better than we ever even could’ve dreamed. Bless you, dear man, and thank you for all you do - including this latest important announcement.

If you’re able, I’d love to know a bit more … especially what you personally like best about Procolour (laydown, blending, etc.) and/or the colouring books where you’ve had your best luck with them - as we know, support/paper can make a huge difference! But even this word to the wise from a fellow artist is much appreciated - again, thank you kindly!

      I use them in my Johanna Basford books. I am not really going for a realistic look, so I tend to only use one or two colours when I layer with them especially as each section is usually quite small eg. leaves, petals, butterfly wings. I also use them in my zentangles on the tiles, once again small spaces. I like that they stay sharp and pointy for longer than my other pencils but are not as hard as studio or artist Derwents. The colours are quite strong too. I use prismacolour when I want nice soft pencils and was given coloursoft recently too. Hope this helps.

      That is tremendous help, thank you - exactly what I was looking for! I do have Prismas and Coloursoft, and you’re right - the Procolours are quite different to either! Luckily, though, I also have the Basford books (on US paper - I understand UK is different for some volumes, or at least has been in past). I shall try them out there, and see if I have more luck getting a feel for them that way. I’ll also try to focus more on layering single colors (or two at most) vs. lots of blending. Great “pro” tips!! 😉 And thanks to you, I again have some hope that it wasn’t all money wasted! Once more, thank you kindly for your excellent, and thorough, reply!! It’s much appreciated, and should prove very helpful!

That’s really shitty of Derwent, but that’s not on you. And I can promise you nobody’s gonna blame you for it. Why would you think that the company who sells all their pencils open stock with suddenly do something stupid like this? Nobody would’ve thought of that. The only thing we can do is just reach out to them and give our concerns to them and hope that they fix this. It’s not like they can’t afford to and it would be the smart thing to do.

    Just last week I was chatting with staff at The Art Shop in Melbourne, and they told me then that they'd only be receiving 100 of the 150 pencils to sell open stock, which is insane. We don't get new Derwent products for ages in Australia, so I've not had a chance to buy the set. I would have been completely gutted if I'd done a video review on them and THEN found this out, so I feel for you, Harry, I really do! This is most definitely NOT your fault at all, and it's entirely on Derwent for releasing the set too soon and not disclosing this glaring issue! It really puts me off buying the 150 set if literally a third of them can't be replaced. A shocking turn of events for sure! 😱

      Here here… am in SW VIC and not only does it take a long time to get new product, pricing for them here is stupid. I just got a full set of Inktense Pans… 24 colours and the local art store had them for nearly AUD$120…. I got them from Amazon for AUD$75 INCLUDING GST. Now I have the 12 set of Chromacolor, the full set of LYRA Polycolor and full set of FC PolyChromos and the full 150 set of Prismas. I tried them against the Prismas and there was no difference and the Prismas are my least favorite pencil… so I guess I don’t like the Chromacolor by definition. The Lyra are my fave pencil…followed by the faber castell… but I love the Inktense.

    Harry - that is on THEM more than you! They gave you information that you forwarded to us in good faith, and it isn't fair to blame yourself for their playing games. While it isn't a great thing, as an artist who enjoys the opportunity to buy open-stock (yes - it is a factor in my decisions regarding what I purchase) I feel that there will be other alternatives for similar colors from other companies if someone had to 'fill in' colors that were used up. The more art I do, the more I realize that we don't have to stick to one brand only for a piece of artwork. I have watched MANY artists who do excellent work in MANY mediums (Pencils, pastels, watercolors, etc.) and VERY FEW only use one brand. I acknowledge your feelings on this issue, because I would feel the same to a point. but you told us what you were told from Derwent - who has the responsibility to disclose this type of information to their agents - like you - who are recommending their products to us. SHAME ON THEM! You are really a caring, decent man as you have shown us time after time. I did not buy the set, but if I did, I would take it in stride and would file in my mind that it is Derwent's fault for the misinformation that they gave to you and ultimately all of us. I would just get another brand and really reconsider purchasing other products from them as well. Thank you for your honesty. Please take care!

Duh.

This is a deceptive money practice imo. Not a good look on Derwent nor a good move. Evading a definitive answer shows they have something to hide. Because they don't want a drop in sales but this is their own fault. I will not do business like this. Thank you so much for doing a video on this issue. Just as a sidenote, pigments like the infamous PO49 and PO48, that makes the original and subsequent substitute of the pigments that make Quinacridone Gold, are discontinued, but not because they don’t exist!
    It is my understanding that the automotive industry lost interest in the pigment/color, and therefore stopped harvesting. That meant that no more of those pigments would be available for the artist paint/color industry, because qe always get leftovers. Art color is not profitable/large enough industry to be able to sustain any form of sourcing on its own.
    So basically these pigments aren’t available because there isn’t enough (numerically/bulk) interest on them.
    Indeed some pigments are extremely rare, but must of them are the toxic ones such as cobalts, that are dangerous to source, process, use and dispose of…
    Also, others are indeed scarce and hard to harvest, but the majority isn’t really scarce, it is mostly expensive and not worthy (for the pigment industry).
    However the original burnt sienna (from the city if Sienna) pigment has indeed been extinct, although exist in other parts of the world. But the original location where it was first sourced indeed ran dry of it.

    No worry Harry. In the Derwent cite there is a color chart for all Cromaflow sets. I see that the 50 color pencils what are not in open stock they don't have numbers only names. Anyhow I did order the missing pencils for 100 set and think that those 28 color pencils are enough to me. ( There are some very nice colors) . 100 set is enough. The missing 50 colors don't seem to be so special colors. I don't think that I need them. I can combine 100 Cromaflow with my 72 Colorsoft (I love them maybe even more) and also with 100 Lightfast pencils and it's more than enough for me. 🤔😃I mix and match different sets anyhow. And LOVE all Derwent color pencils.

    You do not need to apologize. You are one of the nicest people out there. Maybe the problem is there are so many budget pencils flooding the market that maybe they are struggling with sales of a better quality product. I think a lot of people knew they were not going to supply the extra 50 pencils before they got to the market. It just never dawned on me to think that I would not be able to restock the extra 50. I thought maybe they would release them later. Or maybe it is just a gimmick right now so people will run to get the 150 set.

    Huh, i will be curious to hear what they have to say. It took them a while to come out with open stock after releasing the original sets of Chromaflow. I think they might have been testing the waters with the smaller tins to see if they were popular.
    I think there are a couple of factors here (i dont have any inside info and didn't even know the 150 set eas coming.)
    1. It's easier to get a large art ahop like Michaels or Blick to stock a set. The store make more money and its only one product to add to their website and store. Open stock is a lot if skus and it dosnt make much money.
    2. People need to use up a color before they buy a replacement. Nowadays companies have a formula of how many sets sold will warrent open stock availabilities. I also think that many of us have become art supply collectors (myself included), and we are unlikly to run out of many of the higher set colors. The colors i often need to replace are the basics found in smallet sets.
    3. The industry is changing and legacy art brands are hurting. If people were buying enough open stock pencils of the tried and true sets they would focus on that, but instead, people are trying new brands and not using up the old. Companies now have to keep reiventing the product line to make sales. Think about how quickly the new best thing is forgotton. Again, i am guilty of this too.
    Ill be curious to see if they release the extra colors. I think its a hard sell for stores to stock them so they might be hard to get and if they are hard to get or expensive (they have to make money to justify the shelf space) they wont sell and that will prove them right. I know blick has stopped selling open stock in several brands that are available because there isn't a big enough market for it.
    I dont think its a pigment scaricity problem. I dont think they would go through the headache of making a new line for that.
    Who knows? Your fine, your reviews are solid. Dont fret about it.

      Thanks, Lindsey! Along with Harry and a few others, you are one of the reviewers I feel I can trust. You guys do a valuable service. I do like to try out different art supplies, but I do have a few favorite brands that I actually have constantly replaced pencils I have used up, so open stock is important to me beyond a certain price point. I do mostly coloring, so lightfast isn't that important to me, but I find I do enjoy coloring (and occasional drawing) much more if I find a tool that is personally easy for me to use if I want to do more detailed work.

      @jilkat25 Před 10 dny

      I agree with you, Lindsay, to the degree that the issue may involve inventory and stocking. But, at the very least the last 50 pencils should be available open stock somewhere! Last year I desperately wanted the latest 28 Derwent Inktense colors, and I was willing to search the planet to get them without buying the first 100 pencils I already owned in order to get the new ones. All of the major retailers in the US seemed to be sold out, or, one could get one color somewhere and another somewhere else, where each one alone was stupidly expensive. Not even the Derwent home site had them all. I finally located the full set of 28 at Cult Pens, UK, for $59.99 plus $10 shipping-which I thought was pretty fair. But, at the very least, the pencils should have been available open stock SOMEWHERE (Derwent!), even if US and other customers would have to wait for international delivery time and jacked up pricing on the product plus international shipping! As for Derwent's other pencil sets, it puts a bad taste in my mouth that several require buying the dang wooden box to obtain the full line! I agree that, were they to sell full lines in ordinary tins (with the gorgeous Jesse Lane artwork, please) they would increase their own sales for their largest sets! I don't understand why they would limit the number of customers who can afford the pencils by making the big sets (Lightfast, for example) only at a pricepoint most people simply cannot afford! If the only storefront in the world that offered the complete line open stock on the last 50 Chromaflow was at the Derwent home site, I'd be ok with that, as long as Derwent itself carried all of them open stock or even as a supplementary set of 50. I thought the entire 2 year roll-out of the Chromaflow line was shady, anyway. Derwent risks losing its entire massive fan base over marketing flubs like this. Thankfully, we have people like Harry looking out for us, keeping it real.

    That is a MASSIVE MISTAKE on Derwent. If they can only source 100 pigments open stock they should say so up front. It negatively impacts Derwents impeccable quality reputation, by not being up front with their customers.
    Exactly if Derwent Artist set 120 was sold in the cheaper tin more people could afford to buy them. As long as all are sold open stock. Derwent Artists are GREAT PENCILS I'm very upset we lost so many especially the higher lightfast ones.

  • @ivycolours
    @ivycolours Před 13 dny +5

    What I got back from Derwent replied to me was that the extra 50 would not be available at this moment but eventually SHOULD be all open stock. My understanding that they are testing the marketing waters vs Prisma and would make sense that they wouldn't produce all the colours open stock all at once. I mean to drop all the money right at the start of the launch not knowing how well these would sell. I wouldn't appologize as it's not your fault as you haven't been provided all the info. I will say that that on the colour chart that was on their website it did have a footnote saying which colours would not be available open stock. I had heard about the 150 set long before you put out your video (thread on Reddit) out so I don't feel you have done anything wrong.

    What a strange thing for them to do. Hopefully they will add the rest some day. If they can't get the pigments they could make those colors limited editions, so people would know they might not be available very long. Hello Harry. I'm just 8min in but, when I heard they were coming out with the 150 set I went straight to Derwent website to check if the colour chart was updated and it was, in the colour chart was * in 50 colour and in the bottom it said *this colours are not available open stock, the information was there. They probably could be more transparent than they were, I agree with that, but the information, even if half hidden was there. Now I think, and this is just what I think, no way to now for sure, that they plan to bring the other 50 to open stock at some point, maybe they need more time for production or they wanted to see the response to the increased line, and in my opinion is because of that that they didn't give a straight answer to that. Maybe they don't want to say it will not be open stock and in a couple of months is or they don't want to say that will be open stock and in a couple months decide that is not possible, just my guess here. I'm really curious about the 150 set but to be honest if the other 50 don't become open stock I'm not sure if I will get them. Thank you for your review, for your honesty and for always try to bring us all the information you possible can.

    I got the information about only 100 being available open stock from the art store where I normally buy my colored pencils. They're a store specialized in colored pencils and licensed by Derwent. They announced that only 100 would be available open stock. You can buy a set with all the new colors available open stock. Of course they sell the 150 set, stating that 50 colors are unique to this set. Not your fault that they're a bit mysterious about it.

    Your understanding or even presumption of all 150 colors of Chromaflow being available as open stock is certainly not your fault. I think a lot of larger corporate art suppliers have changed over the years and are not what they once were. Prismacolor being bought out by a large corporate biz is testament to how big corporations look to satisfy stockholders, squeeze out as much profit as possible and put quality and even honesty at a lower level priority than before. Thank you for being very honest and responsible to your viewers. We really appreciate it! I love the Chromoflow but I’m deeply disappointed in their lack of acknowledgment and almost underhanded way they have sold this set and not allowed for so many pencils to be bought open stock. Obviously they are still making them as they will. Be in the 150 sets still.! This as you pointed out is Outrageous! I did pause to wonder when Lucy adds colour, was only able to buy a certain amount of the new colours to add to the 72 set she already had and not all of them, this answers that question she had of why.

    Thank you so much for posting this. 100 was the maximum number I saw available here when I bought them quite recently, and I actually bought that set because I had heard that there were colors only available in the full set. I didn’t even know there was one with 150, and I haven’t used mine yet, so maybe I can sell them in order to get the full set, as frustrating as it will be to not be able to replace some of them.
    Due to issues with the joints in my hands, I just need something really easy to lay down, and as far as I can tell, Chromaflows are the best option I have, so as I’d like as many colors as I can get, 150 and being frustrated about 50 of them later is better than having biught 100 and having to buy 150 on top of it just because I didn’t get those colors to start with.

Like others have commented, even if I had bought the set, I would have never thought of blaming you in any way shape or form. Knowing how conscientious you are, this one is not on you at all. In their email to me, I was informed that only 100 colours are available open stock. They also wrote that at present, they have no plans to change that; however, my request will be forwarded to marketing. This most definitely is not your fault at all, this is Derwents problem. I do still plan on getting the 150 set regardless but it does really make it harder for people that go through them fast or can’t afford a new set every time. I am ok if there is a color I need I am able to buy a new set and maybe give my old set of duplicates to someone else in one of my coloring groups. This does hurt others in the coloring community that can’t afford a new set after you run out of a few of the colors that you can’t just replace pencil by pencil. I am just a colorist for hobby not professional or anything so I highly doubt I will go through them fast but it still will hurt their own company by doing this to their customers. I love your channel and this has no reflection on you….this is on Derwent!

    When I bought my 72 set in September 2023 (I'm in the United States), NONE of the pencils were available open stock. I'm not a colored pencil artist--I use colored pencils mostly for coloring, so lightfastness is not important to me. BUT open stock is. And I have a price point of what I will spend on a set without replaceable colors--and while I bought my set on sale, $77.50 is a lot of money to buy an entire set to replace a missing red. I liked the Chromaflow, but a 72 set of Prismacolor was actually a couple of dollars cheaper. Of course, prices for both sets fluctuate a lot, but generally speaking--there are a LOT of colored pencils that fall in the same price range, as Chromaflow, that are either bigger sets, or have open stock pencils. I found out a few months ago that Derwent finally were selling open stock pencils in the U.S. and I was thrilled! The 100 colors are all available from Blick, but so far, they aren't carrying the 150 OR the 100 set. By the way, please don't be so hard on yourself! It's not your fault that so far, the whole 150 collection is not yet open stock. Derwent tends to be kind of "shy" about their plans (to put it nicely). On the US Derwent site (where the 72 set is double what I paid on Blick), there are older questions on the Q & A where they are telling the customers that they don't plan to put out a set bigger than 24, and more recently, that they did not offer open stock pencils. I don't know if I will get the 150 set when it's available here--especially since I still need to fill out my collection of the Derwent Lightfast. (I bought a small set, and bought open stock pencils from Jackson's in the UK because they had more colors in stock and it was cheaper, even with shipping). The Derwent Lightfast I justified by telling myself I was going to start doing original art again since I used to draw and paint when I was younger. Anyway, sorry for such a long post. Just wanted to say that there are a handful of CZcamsrs that I actually trust that they are giving their honest opinion and that I respect that they know what they are actually talking about. You are one of them. Your reviews are very informative and they help me decide if something might work for me. You are so hard on yourself, Harry! I am sending you a "mental hug" to let you know everything is fine, and Derwent should bear the brunt of any customer disappointment. I think they are probably waiting to see how popular the 150 set is and then will fill in the other colors (and they may end up changing some entirely).

    Hey mate. All good! I like Derwent as well and own a bunch of their products…. A lot…. But I’ve worked most of my career in the corporate sector and just know when there is a supply chain, an accounting issue on the balance sheet, or a marketing issue. In this I think it’s a bit all then covered by a marketing obfuscation at the customer expense. As an old sales manager at my previous Fortune 100 IT company (I retired) would say… NEVER CONFUSE SELLING WITH DELIVERY. I think you’re right. Derwent had a marketing issue against Prismacolor. So they developed an unsustainable product and will likely retrograde it to 100 colours once they have market share. You were dealt a bucket of poo and reported in good faith. We’re OK.

  • @thinkerdreamersketcherspy

    Thanks for the update, hopefully more people will see this before making a purchase! 😊 But, like I said in my other comment, this is definitely not on you, Harry!
    Imo this whole Chromaflow thing has been a mistake on Derwent's part. The Lightfast thing wasn't great either, but at least we knew from the start how it was gonna be. This Chromaflow launch strategy has meant that I can't get them locally because the stores don't want to invest in 'small open stock ranges' -- but they made the decision based on the 36 first colours. Now the small sets have been on clearance and no one will go back and try to sell the larger sets/full range.
    AFAIK (/assume), the pigment shortage is not the (only/true) reason why they're not releasing all 150 OS. But this is based on pure conjecture, a deduction of the colours not OS and the pigments discontinued. It would also be very strange to spend all those resources developing colours & attach them to a range when they know they can only make a limited amount. Wouldn't it be smarter to release those colours as a separate limited/special/legacy edition? The collectors would 100% buy those.
    Slightly off topic; that pigment thing is sooooo strange. Why can't any pencil range be open and disclose the pigments? Just like in every other medium! But no, pencils are SpEcIaL and people don't need to know, we are not real artists, so instead of PY130, PG6, etc. we get Buttercups and Limes and Marsh Mosses... 🙄

Having said that, regarding Derwent I bought the set of 72 in April 2022, (after I had already previously bought the set of 24), and I paid €147.32 for it and yes they are good pencils but I found the quality of the wood and the lead has worsened compared to other lines of pencils such as coloursoft or lightfast, now the set of 150 has been released and you can't just buy the new colours, but to have them all I would have to spend another €200 again... what should I have to do think of this behavior of Derwent? I don't think it's fair to their customers, and in fact I haven't bought it and I don't know if I will, I have so many pencils that I can easily do without them, at least until the price drops a bit... thanks, no apologises needed, keep it up!

    I onl,y just found your channel but this doesn’t even bother me. There are so many wonderful brands and colors I personally don’t have a problem getting the best match with another brand. I’m not a professional artist though. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but good solutions to problems are always available. It’s just not that serious. They will likely suffer for their decisions when people turn to other supplies.

    Not in any way your fault Harry. I am sure someone will share what other pencils are the closest match to the colors not being sold open stock. Thank you for your honesty.

    It’s all about the Benjamin’s baby. Releasing smaller sets first and bigger ones later forces us to buy more sets. I ain’t buying it. Stop the grift Derwent. I ain’t buying these smaller sets anymore. Just wait. Don’t feel bad Harry. I would be fine buying a couple if 150 sets but I’ll wait 1-2 years until price comes down.

    Hi Harry, this is not your fault at all! I bought the 150 set, and I don't regret it, I love it, as I love all Derwent pencils and products I own. I won't buy the 150 set again to replace colors for sure, I'm not that desperate, I'll just use pencils from other sets! I just hope most of my faves will be able to buy open stock, or they reconsider at some point and produce the last 50 pencils.
    But I am disappointed by Derwent, have to say this reflects badly on them.

    Harry its not your fault. people take on board reviews and have a choice to buy or not.
    Now me personally I stopped buying derwent when i had the 72 set of each pencil. then derwent upped the number of inktense, messed about with the artists set and have now rushed through this 150 set, as you say who made this decision and where is the marketing to find out if this is what colourists want.
    Yet any suggestions to derwent about new options of products are dismissed. ( I wrote asking if the xl graphite and charcoal couldn't be made into sticks the size of inktense. If they are going to increase a set size could we please have a bigger set of the drawing pencils which only come in 24. thanks again harry for this video.

    So not your fault! I would take my/a swatch of the 50 pencils and buy the most comparable colour from a company that sell open stock. 🥰

    I cancelled my pre-order when I heard about this. I'd rather wait and see if they will eventually sell all 150 open stock or not. I'm in the US.

    You mention Prismacolor pencils being available open stock. Where I live (Montreal, Canada), I was told a couple of weeks ago in the store where I have been buying my art supplies for years that Prismacolor pencils will no longer provide the stores their pencils open stock. It’s very disappointing to say the least. And I can’t find them on Amazon Canada either. I was told that upon hearing this one of their customers boight every single Prismacolor pencil in the store and spent more than a thousand dollard on them.

    On the bright side - for those of us who already have the 72 set, we only need to buy 28 pencils extra.

  • @PoppyBryn2013

    I wonder if they're being cagey as they want to see how sales of the 150 sets go -if they do well, they'll probably miraculously make the other colours available. Still a little disappointing though -the decision making is ...odd. Reduce from 120 but then jump up to 150 seems disjointed. Don't blame yourself, Harry, it's not your fault. You're only repeating what you were told by Derwent.

    • @TheArtGearGuide
      @TheArtGearGuide  Před 12 dny +1

      Hi Poppy you could very well be right, there are loads of theories as to why they have done it. What I am having trouble understanding is why they didn't say anything to me or other reviewers that got sent a set. This in my opinion is a major change from every single pencil Derwent makes and so such a change from the norm, again in my opinion, should have been the first thing Derwent mentioned to us.
      I love Derwent and absolutely love almost all of their products and I hate having to say anything negative at all about them. But my priority is you guys, those who tune into my reviews because they know they are going to get the brutal honest truth about any product. And so, if calling out a silly move on Derwent's part is required, I have no option. I just hope that this video can at the very least fully inform artists thinking of buying the Derwent Chromaflow 150 set.

  • @YkronRobe
    @YkronRobe Před 13 dny +1

    They aren't even available open stock in my country. I could only get new chromaflow pencils if a buy a set. I'll be finishing most of my 72 set before considering buying the 150 set (if it is even available here 😂)
