I like what are you doing, but I think, you should little bit polish what is already done - instead of adding new thinks. But still thanks for your work)
I think he has mostly been doing that, the Beehive zone seems like it has gone through a ton of refinement. I agree with the idea though, once the core game play loop of progressing through zones and developing as a character are done, polishing that will probably be most efficient. Not to say I don't trust in Noia Dev's vision, the work and progress have been amazing
@@Lioni177 yeah, but you know devil is in details. I tried Noia - and in the first 5 min I collected around 5 log errors, two times in the first minute was teleported to the start room(as I just tried to go left instead of top), and each time I was paused for few seconds (some kind of animation maybe, but still - it's negative game experience).
Fighting - it's small thing to add animation on doing damage (for example - change color of tile, or etc).
Leveling system - I spend in game around 20 min - and you know what? I never have the feeling that I need lvl up, or better equipment - like first locations must rise in players feeling to improve (equipment/skills/level).
That's all small things which I think are more important than new weapons/locations/mechanics.
By the way dev did a great job and I, and to be honest, I inspired such kind of people who do no matter what happens - he is coming to his aim. But still if you will have Wow, lineage, any other good and nice game where you will faced with errors in first steps, or some annoying teleportarion, or fighting(grind is the main part of such games) will be boring and senseless - then nobody will play it.
I just hope that Noia dev will have enough energy and motivation to polish it enough till it becomes really interesting and wanted to play.
This is why I urge people to tell me this sort of stuff in the discord....because youtube doesn't always tell/show/alert me to every comment, especially replies.
You are 100% correct on all points.
The game is in a very very rough shape. This is the primary reasons I don't even dare putting up a "Coming Soon" page on steam, I would get eaten alive. The game is still in Alpha. Meaning I am merely getting the bones of the game put together, absolutely nothing is fully fleshed out, or polished in any way. Monster HP/Damage/Loot vs Player HP/Skills/Damage has not even been looked at in terms of balance. Only to make sure it just works in the most basic of sense.
As far as the "Getting stuck in the first room" issue. Just like yourself, many would spawn in and run left, without a weapon. So I put in a minor little dialog of Dan telling the player "Hey don't run off without a weapon" and then physically walking the player directly in front of Dan so that when the player regains control the big "Press E to interact" message would be hard to miss. After reading your feedback here, I went and confirmed that this minor cutscene is in fact still working, and it is. So I can't be sure as to what went wrong in your playthrough. At some point dialog will be voiced, and verbal dialog is a lot harder to ignore than written, hopefully that will help in the future.
