Aamir's 6 month stance makes no sense in today's times. Pandemic viewing have changed habits of people. Unless a big budget movie is worth it from good word of mouth and cast is likeable, then yes, it makes sense to delay OTT release 2-3 months post theatrical (The Kashmir Files, RRR and KGF Chapter 2 are recent examples.) No one will wait 6 months for its OTT release. The whole 4-5 week post theatrical to OTT release window is and will be the norm.
Irony is he has now remade the movie which is already available in OTT from long time 😄
Pirated versions mostly will be out if it doesn't come in ott.even before ott era this was the case

The way Aamir explains about the economics of the 'theatrical experience vs. OTT' is so good that even the OTT fans will want to change their perspective and want to get into theatres. The only thing I'd hope for is - if a film is releasing in OTT after 6 months, it should be available in theatres in every nook and corner of this world. There used to be times in the past where films wouldn't release in theatres in a certain country and they'd be craving to watch it and they'll turn to piracy to satisfy their craving. If thats taken care of by the film releasing everywhere in the world, it is then a great idea to keep it away from OTT for 6 months.

I think I would be very sceptical of a person's character/mildly scared of them if he/she is capable of hating the public persona of someone like Amir Khan, the person being interviewed here! Given that there seems to be so many of those kinds out there, it is quite a disturbing thought- the fact that we happen to live in such a psychologically disturbed society! Hope we recover and learn to accept and love ourselves enough in order to not feel the need to feed on hatred and negativity!

Look at this man. This how u should do an interview it doesn't only pleasing questions but also some critics in there with light heartedness. You can be critic but you can't be harsh there is thin line which separates them. That line is this interview. And I'm being tamilan kollywood and south movie fan i feel north actor are more open up about their failures and they ready speak about Thier flop movie and what went wrong in that. Thing won't just happen in South i feel may in malayam star speak about it but not others openly talk about it. Hats off amir for this openess and acceptance of your failure. I have watched three idiots, dangal, Lagaan ,pk and then tare zameen paar. These the only movie i have watched from you and all are good movies. So i hope this one joins that list all the best
