Kripp, this video was incredible, it convinced me to go from someone who didn't play arena at all to someone who is 100% going to give it another shot.

I drafted the most insane deck 2 days ago as a paladin it had everything (zombie chow, truesilver, aldor, dragon synergies with blackwing technican and dragon consort, I had heal with lay on hands and ivory knight, 2 legendaries - sylvanas, feugen, my late game was very strong with cards like bog creeper, sunwalker and war golem, I even had an EQUALITY PYRO COMBO :D) and I ended up getting 2/3 because of the fucking trogg golem feral spirit (ikr..) or mana wyrm, arcane blast, sorceres apprentice mirror image (IKR!) and in the end I got a blessing of wisdom no gold and a pack.. after this run I said goodbye to arena for atleast 2 months..

every time ive got an insane deck my opponent rushed me down and i did like 4-3
i had 3 pyroblasts and a good stall deck in arena. 3 wins
I've been going for Hunter recently and going face. With a meh deck one can go 5 or 7 wins because giant taunts are not the norm. Its been great against the decks that have all the removal in the world.

Forced Synergy - when the occurrence bonus was in place, Dragons were insane to force because you were almost guaranteed to get a couple Netherspite Historians. I've also noticed that some cards that are more difficult to play, but powerful if you play them correctly - like Hungry Dragon, for example, are significantly undervalued in Hearth Arena. So I agree with Kripp - it's good for what it is, but a lot of times you have to look at what you already have and decide if it will support the card rather than just picking what they say.
I've also noticed that they sometimes overvalue synergy - I've had them tell me to pick a card that is normally bad, but that I have a lot of cards that "synergize" with it, but when I look at the deck as a whole, I realize that the actual chance of taking advantage of the synergy is next to nothing. It seems to me that they rate synergy by the number of cards that synergize without really taking into consideration the strength or likelihood of the synergy actually occurring.
One last statement - you have to be careful when a set first comes out. I think it was one of the menagerie cards that they had it synergizing with everything that was NOT a beast, dragon, or murloc instead of synergizing with those that were. As long as you are aware of the limitations, it can be a very useful tool...unfortunately I agree with Kripp that it is almost too good right now - so often it feels like I'm playing against the deck rather than the player.
Eric Bess yeah, when Karazahn came out, the ethereal peddler rogue card said it synergised with every minion in the deck, rather than just cards that generated non rogue class cards
I got a mage deck once that had a lot of dragons, managed to get 7 wins(my best is 8 with a mage mech synergy) but had only one Netherspite Historian and not much removal to make it a good deck. Lately though synergies are hard to get and mostly play big minions on curve wins the game

moat lurker is good to use on damaged big minions of your own, when they then kill your moat lurker you get your minion back with full hp.
+AloneRS i got moat lurker in a draft that i had already gotten tirion so i got a second ashbringer and reset the divine shield pretty hype. sadly i only drew the combo once in my 8 win run.

SPOILER ALERT!
Kripp drafted an arena deck with the help of HearthArena in this video. The only two times he disobeyed HearthArena were picking Goblin Sapper against Ancient Shade and Wild Pyromancer against Master Jouster. You're welcome.
The best use of Moat Lurker I've seen if to trigger your own powerful deathrattles. After swinging a Sylv or a Highmane, you Moat Lurker it and you get the deathrattle in the worst case, and in the best case you get double the value off of the card. The 3/3 body is essentially free when you use it like this.
Try to pick the left choice for every card in the draft!!
I have also found that it tends to draft towards an agro deck which similar like kripp said is better for 3-5 wins but my play-style fits tempo and midrange more so I tend towards that more and get more wins with those on average.

Moat Lurker is 'ok' in a wild shaman deck. You can use it to kill your own deathrattle minion, which you might have also buffed with ancestral spirit. Some obvious amazing combos there but really you only use it when you don't draw reincarnate.
Currently trying this HearthArena Overwolf app, only thing I really like - decklist at right part of the screen.
I believe Moat Lurker is a high value card on HearthArena because of the ability to take down huge minions. If you're ahead on board, and there's a taunt that ruins your chances of dealing more damage, it's a great way to deal with it. Or if your opponent commits a turn to a large minions, it can be easily removed, essentially skipping their turn. It's weaknesses would be when you're behind on board or the value of the card isn't helpful in certain match ups.
I like the lurker if I can brew it back or I have a couple of silence effects. You just don't get much for your mana otherwise.
Could you do this a few times on stream? It's extremely helpful to hear your draft reasoning.

I think HearthArena is a great tool for learning. Used it for a couple months. Stopped recently and feel confident in the choices I make now. Had a couple 12 win runs the other day without using it, knowing I learned quite a bit from it.

+Micheel jan There are multiple better tools that do that. Heartharena is only good for building the deck and keeping track of your wins/losses.

Overwolf is probably the most poorly coded piece of software I ever used.
Also it's funny how Kripp always hates netdecking in constructed, and now suggests us to do basically the same in arena.
I wouldn't call this net decking.
Comparing "netdecking to search the highest winrate mid range shaman deck" to an app that gives you advices on synergies based on your on-going draft in arena. Seems accurate.

Most annoying thing in heartharena is that on few first cards it assume deck archetype and try to draw according to this deck type - which is sometimes, just sometimes deck breaking.
I cant get the app it's self to work... I have downloaded it twice but it still only records and has me choose the cards on the website which just takes way too long.
How do you get those bubbles beneath the cards that show their value?

I have an i5 6600k, and a 1070, overwolf is a poorly optimized piece of garbage that makes any computer I use it on lag on every single application. It literally feels like willfully installing malware.
OH, and how it decides to record 30fps gifs from Dota 2 matches you play, without saying anything. Then stores 15GT of it on your HDD unless you go fucking set that shit straight in the setting...
i have a 5 year old computer (top teir back then 5k~ not so much anymore) and i barely get any drops even if i have discord and curse up at the same time so no.

Here's some sick hearthstone card ideas just because I have a brain but do not know how to edit cards and upload them to reddit so CZcams is my place so 1: communion 4 mana priest card card text as follows gain 1 mana crystal this turn only , next turn add 4 random 10 mana cost minions into your hand so explanation it's an astral communion opposite but it adds 10 mana minions to your hand well because you're gaining 1 mana crystal for four mana which is bad so it rewards you with 4 random 10 mana cost cards ( giants keep their reduced cost )
The odd thing about Arena is that my mage and rogue decks are the ones that only get an average of 3 wins or less with the occasional 5 wins. My best decks I've ever made have been from Druid and Paladin. Druid and Paladin synergy shits on Mage's in my opinion, that is if you can get any proper class cards, especially with dragons or beasts.
i agree with kripp, picking warrior, i like to pick more aggresive so i kill mages before turn 7/8.

Where is the setting for the arena score in the top left in heartharena? I looked everywhere and didnt find it...
Antonio Miloloza Kripp had the developers of Heartharena make a custom client for him, and that score display is part of it, you couldn't find it because there isn't an option for it in the regular HA app for us poor plebs.

Hello Kripp, I have a suggestion, how about you make a compilation of you picking cards and explaining why you picked those cards in particular, it would show more situations where the cards are of around the same value, and you could explain why these are better.
I got 6 wins last time with a paladin deck, lost 2 time in a row because of stupid mages that had a lot of things on the board while I had no removal, only lots of minions. I had an equality somewhere in the deck.
