well it looks like a budget deck when compared to his wallet decks
plus the 5 epics and required adventures
only difference from the current netdeck is he's running sylvana's instead of lightlord and lay on hands instead of forbidden healing. This is in NO WAY a budget deck, its just as expensive as the netdeck only with classic cards instead of the WOTG cards.
I think he assumes that you have been playing for awhile and if so its likely you have cards like tirion and syl. I got most of my legends for free either through crafting or arena packs. it took a while but it happened.
forgot the sololmn vigils instead of the loot hoarders, but hell that might be personal preference.

A control deck should always have a beefy late game minion to dominate the board. Being able to destroy other minions while boosting the stats of your own is a feature that should be considered by control players a bit more often.

Being on a budget doesn't mean you don't have jack shit for cards. If you can't afford to buy packs and adventures, you should expect to be playing enough to get cards. With dailies, you should be able to get at least one adventure, and enough packs to make 2 or 3 legendaries from dust. Sylvanas is a good investment for your dust, and so is Tirion if you like playing Paladin.
For me, budget deck deck consist 1 or 2 legendaries follow by up to 4 epics. Mostly classic cards
+Leedark3 i opened about 65-70 packs and got 1 legendary... ONE!! How am i supposed to make enough dust every mobth to craft a legendary if im neverlucky. :( i hate blizz

Do try to remember that the OP was complaining about having to put together 4 legendaries. And that, along with those 20 legendaries, I've gotten hundreds of commons and rares, and dozens of epics. Without paying anything. If you don't want to pay to play, you can expect to spend something else instead: TIME.
+Leedark3 Yeah, but by most definitions, deck that takes around 9k dust can't be called budget. For new players that amount is massive, budget decks are those that take 2-3k dust. Of course you can spend time or money to get it - with average 100dust/pack you would need 90+ packs just to try a deck that may not be good.
"Budget deck" - Is actually twice as expensive as my current Anyfin can Happen deck.

Qwertycal Tyrion and Sylvanus are the two best legendaries since the begining of hearthstone. If you don't have them and you've been playing longer than a few months then either you crafted bad legendaries or you don't play your quests ever. Neither of those things validate the excuse that having 4 legendary can't be achieved by a f2p player.

There's always the very violent card with medium-high attack that prevents minions with lower attack from attacking
They should create a new keyword for minions (Taunt, Battlecry, etc.) called resilience. Minions with resilience can only be triggered after your hero has taken 20 face damage. When triggered, resilience provides a moderate heal and a 3 damage board wipe. This would force aggro decks to target resilience minions, and thus reduce face damage.

I tried this deck, but I am using the normal Ragnaros and some other cards for drawing cards. Still works out pretty good and it's fun to play.

a good counter to aggro would be something like first strike from MTG, but make it so it can't hit face or some other drawback

I was curious about the deck, but goddamn, the Kripp . . . .
It seems that control decks cost more in general, whereas aggro decks are generally a lot cheaper. So a budget control deck costs about as much as an high-mid cost aggro deck.
if you play free to play you can just save up gold before the expand once you have a good enough amount of previous expand, i had enough for 50 whispers packs when that came out
Here's an idea for a card that could trash aggro decks: Low cost, high health, low attack minion with: minions cannot be buffed or spawned by other minions (for example imp gang boss and abusive sergeant would not work while it was on the board)
Maybe it could be a 2 mana 1-4, 3 mana 2-4 or 1-5?
Kripp likes control decks because it's inherently easier to come up with an answer to a threat than it is to come up with a threat your opponent can't answer.

My favourite answer to turn 3 imp gang boss is Swashburglar into sac pact.
For balancing aggro, introduce something like enhancements or artifacts that can't be killed directly by an attack, then have one that has all minions cost 2 more. Now ofc that should be counterable but if people choose to do that then they'll be less optimized as aggro as well if it's put on a spell or on bad creatures
Or if nothing new, just add a 1 mana stealth creature 0/5 or something with creatures cost 1 more mana

I love playing weird decks. They are usually the most fun (especially when you win). Everything else gets old too easily, boring to play and boring to play against.
Thief Rogue is super entertaining, except against Shaman, Mage and Hunter. They usually steamroll this kind of deck and you don't really get a chance to play out the things that make the deck fun.
Kripp I seriously think you underrate this deck. N'zoth is also a win condition, especially when you have the potential to play two Ashbringers and deal damage at the same time. This deck always maintains control of the board unless you don't know how to play.
I would switch out one doomsayer for Ragnaros Lightlord or another Keeper though...one doomsayer is usually enough, there is already a bunch of board clears in this deck.

The problem is early game cards for control decks usually get used in aggro decks anyway, or are defensive spells.

Counter to Imp gang boss would be Light's Champion, but it has a limited use than Imp gang boss

Instead of Curator i put Ragnaros Lightlord and instead of N'zoth i put Solemn Vigil so i can draw my combo faster. It works really good! Had to diss some cards because of this deck but i think its worth it.
budget (4 legendaries, 3 adventures) control (OTK combo) deck. when you have 10 million dust and no idea how constructed decks work (kripp), it actually checks out
they just need to add more removal spells to the game. not damage, so you cant trigger effects or deathrattles, but removals. similar to how MTG took a hard turn to "exile" cards instead of destroy
I think his deck should add a Barnes. As long as you keep doomsayer in the back of your head then the added chance of a 1/1 murloc, tirion or sylvanas can be HUGE.

My idea for a anti-aggro mechanic: "Defender +X/+X" where "Defender" means "has +X/+X while it is your opponent's turn"
Obviously this only works on taunt minions.
"Inexplicably" is the word you're looking for.
2 mana rare - 1/1 Taunt: +0/+1 Per enemy minion summoned. Counter aggro neutral card.

Hey Kripp,
How about shields as weapons? You cannot attack minions with them, but when you get attacked, you still take damage, but then deal the attack value of your shield in damage to the minion.
Say, you play a 2 mana 1/5 shield of.. aggro tears. 2/1 runs into your face, you take 2 damage, shield procs and deals 1 damage to it, minion dies, shield loses 1 durability.
The problem with aggro is not the damage you take, it's the face you take the damage AND have to deal with the board AND somehow create a board of your own, to even begin to counter it. A card like this deals with one side of the spectrum on its own, and makes cheap board clears like ghoul or arcane explosion better against 3/2s as they might be at 3/1 because they attacked.
Also forces aggro decks to be more original, running with more than just 30 1 and 2 drops.
