    Great review. I also have a 2014 Low rider. I have about 60 000KMs about 37 000 miles on mine(Canadian). I was going to put a bolt in cam to give it the stage two as my friend was doing the job for me he found that I had a problem with the lifters where they seated into the engine case. he put it all back together and I took it into Harley as I had one month left on my extended warranty.Long story short getting a new long block under warranty so I am going from 60 000KMs to Zero KMs thank God for the extended warranty I also put Progressive springs in my forks and found it to take away the break dive from the dual disc brakes also put some progressive shocks in the rear and over all it handles way better.So right now I should get my bike back in a couple of days motor is all done and they are just waiting for a shifter linkage that wore out if it had of broke it would have been covered as well but I had to pay for that part.Thanks again for your review and Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.

    Great vid, I have a 2018 lowrider and love it. I have 45 thou on mine and no trouble yet, I've had 3 sets of tires. Put 14 inch apers. I can't find good sadlebags though, not paying a g note for bags. When I go on long rides like Tampa,Fl to Chicago I buy a cheap pillow at walmart, it works great.

      That sounds awesome about your LR! I put some Viking Bags on mine and it was the worst thing ever. I ended up taking them off and they are in a landfill now. Aside from Viking being garbage, it totally changed the look of the bike. I use a tailbag with a luggage rack now. Here's wishing you many more happy miles!

    I just hit 30k on my 2014 which I bought new. It's my first bike and I love it. I need to find out what to do for a 30k maintenance. My horn bracket broke as well, also had issues with the brake light staying on and the only real fix after trying ALL of the fixes one at a time was to get an entire new master cylinder unit and lever and rear brake switch and that seems to have fixed the issue long term. And the major issue was oil consumption, and a major story about that and a dealer service experience negative.

    Great video bro!!
    I have the 2014 also, bought it new, silver/black…. I thought I was watching my bike on my phone lol. I did a few things to my bike I added a windshield did a stage one, new grips, added, saddlebags, did a detachable luggage rack with the back rest, turn signal relocation kit, cut out the catalytic converter, LED headlight,. It sure is a fun bike to ride. I got a few offers on her but, I’ll never sell her. Mine did not come with ABS or a FOB like some do with security.

    most of the people that have problems with their Harley, don't keep up on scheduled PM's. As with anything machinery treat it right and it will treat you right 99% of the time.

      Most of those people will complain that a dealer charges them for an oil and filter change. But they fail to think about the 90 other inspections and adjustments.

    I’m thinking of getting the 2016 model with less than 5k miles on it. I currently ride a 2020 iron 883 that is my first bike. Just worried it might not be as fun and nimble as my sporty? I really want that extra stability and weight on the highway though and this bike seems pretty maneuverable for a big twin Harley. Any regrets trading your sporty in?

    • @bluesriderDF
      @bluesriderDF  Před 2 lety +1

      Well, when I got into riding in 2015 I wanted a Dyna, but didn't have the coin, so I got the Sporty. In retrospect that was a great move. I rode the heck outta that thing. Half of my riding is 55 mi commute to work, and the Sporty was not exactly comfy for that, especially the highway. When I got the Dyna I never looked back! Having said that, I've had the Low Rider for 4 years, and if all goes as planned I should be picking up a Street Glide this week. Woo hoo! But I am going to keep the Dyna, and split the riding between the two. I would definitely miss the Dyna, and I'd never get in money what it's actually worth to me. I think the Dyna is very "sporty" when riding. Not like an 883 (I had a 1200) but it's only 100 pounds heavier than a Sporty. If you can only have one bike, go for the Dyna. That's my 2 cents. I hope it works out for ya! Thanks for posting!

      @@bluesriderDF Congratulations on the street glide! That’s awesome! I have buddies with big baggers and they won’t even ride anything else anymore! I might just have to pull the trigger on the dyna? It’s just more money, more bike, more mods, more, more, more. If money was no object you know. It’s such a great looking bike and the one I’m looking at has the high output 103. Supposed to have a different cam and more airflow? It’s the cosmic blue pearl, I think it’s called. I think it’s the same as yours? Nope, yours is superior blue, I think?

      @@bluesriderDF You said it after the test ride and you got back on the sportster. It’s just so nimble and comfortable. I’m going tomorrow to test ride some bikes and probably trade in my iron 883, but I won’t be surprised at all if I just end up with a 1200 instead of a big twin? There’s something to be said for those evo engines and that nimble handling of a sportster. It’s the lack of stability on the highway though that I hate about my sportster.
      Thanks for your help, btw!
