    The Harley-Davidson Dyna Low Rider is a great bike for short people, but this Low Rider has some accessories that makes it terrible for short riders! This Low Rider has ape hanger handle bars that makes it difficult to control if you are under 6 feet tall.
    Have you ever wondered about the reliability of old Harleys?

    I had a 1995 Dyna Low Rider. I do a little over 135,000 miles on it & never had any major problems. Hate I got hurt at work & had to give it up. Hope who ever gets it, they have as much enjoyment with it as I did. I loved that bike & riding it.

    I don't really mind apes, but I personally don't care for those types of handlebars. If an ape doesn't bother me, I'm not gonna bother any of them.

    I have an '04 FXDL. Beautiful bike (smoky gold / black). It does have the 88 c.i. motor and 5 speed. I wish it had the 6 speed. If I wanted to spend a small fortune on an upgrade, it would be on a transmission. But do I need a 6 speed? Not really.

    My first ever V-Twin and Harley-Davidson is a '94 Dyna Wide Glide with the Evo 80 my second V-Twin I bought right afterwards has WAY MORE POWER out of an 1,100cc engine and it's just a cool short two year run Honda Shadow VT1100C I've always really like the aesthetics of that particular machine. Not my first cruiser though, I have the one year run '82 Yamaha XJ1100J MAXIM and just dropped some coin to hold another that's super clean. Dying to ride everything everywhere as much as possible!

    Some people don't like Dyna's, these are the same people that forget that the Dyna is a Raw Harley. I came from the super sport class, ( 05 cbr600rr and 09 cbr 1000rr ) I still own them. But my Wife loves the Dyna, probably something about the vibration, all I know is the seat is always wet when she gets off of it. 🙂

I have to admit I am still intimidated by it as I just bought it a couple of weeks ago and my class is not until September. But I still ride once or twice a week while I wait on the class. I had to mount extensions on my mirrors to see over my shoulders instead of looking at my arm pits.

    I have a 2004 fxdli with 70 k miles on it. The 88ci engine loves compression. The power commander v EFI turbo, OVERSIZED AIR INTAKE and supertrapp exhaust was my choice rather than increasing the engine size.No oil leakage despite turbo job, rich mixture requires a bit more fuel consumption but that is simply a performance level compromise.Handles sweet on the twisties catches air on the moguls.That EFI turbo unit fits nicely under the seat and even has an additional junction for a NOS UNIT!Definitely one for the bucket list. Doubt this setup is even legal in some states.Been downed repeatedly due only to my own reckless recreation yet is still reliable.Not passenger friendly but I am adenaline junkie so f... it.See it on The Arsenal vault

    • @natepacker4556
      @natepacker4556 Před 4 lety +1

      Yeah, he's not really going to ever say anything really bad about any bike they're currently trying to sell. Part of the game I guess. He tries to get a bit of a Top Gear thing going on with these reviews, which is part of what I enjoy about the channel, but he can't really give unbiased reviews on the bikes, because unlike Top Gear, they are doing these videos to sell bikes, not being given bikes by manufacturers to review and test ride. So I get it, every review basically says the bike is awesome for someone. Which is true. Even though some bike may have flaws or he may not personally like it, he usually does it with the attitude that this bike would be great for you IF you are looking for x,y,z...

    I had a 2014 LR. Nice bike. -but with the stock mid controls- my knees had a tendency to splay outward in the slipstream. After a while, the effort to manage my legs lead to a lot of fatigue. Forward controls or rider pegs could help that. Point is, the sweet ride on a 15 minute test ride ain’t the same as after 3 hours on the hwy. BTW, I sold it and moved into a road glide rather than trying to fix it. Knowing that, I’d still buy a LR, nice bike.

    Always loved the dyna's. Only drawback is passenger pegs attached to swing arm. Very uncomfortable ride for them. But with a little work I'm sure you could mount them to the frame. Beautiful bike though, and one day I'll have one.

    From memory which may be faulty 😆 but the original Dynas were created by sticking a Soorster front end on a full size Harley frame. Can anyone verify?

    Those lines need to be cleaned up. Looks messy and takes away from the sleek look.

    It's quite obvious that this guy knows nothing about new TC Harleys. Allow me to enlighten some weak points in these bikes.
    Compensator, these go out relatively quickly. Wheel bearings, low quality from the factory. ABS, if not extremely careful they will cause some headache. It's absolutely important to change the brake fluid in short intervals. If you want to increase the horsepower it's necessary to change some bearings inside the engine. Transmission main shaft in 6 speed transmission is very vulnerable. So it will be a miracle if you make over 50k without any rebuild
