1978 Ford F250 Modern Chassis Swap: Notching the Frame for the Ideal Fit!

This ended up being a short video despite it taking me a while to actually complete the task. I figured who wants to see me grind for 10 minutes! Anyways, In this video we notch/channel the frame, cut out body (bed) mounts and, cut out the crossmember that holds in the rear cross member. This is all the sink the body down onto the frame which tucks the frame up inside the body and hides as much of it as possible! We have a lot of work to do for the next video to finish this process but we got a look at how the body will look on the new frame! Now, time to get back to work!
PSA: If you are grinding please use a face shield! Although I was trying to be safe by wearing safety glasses, I learned the hard way. I ended up getting metal "dust" in my eye and had to go to the doctor to have it removed. You may have noticed I switched from my glasses to a welding/grinding helmet as my face shield was in transit. Wear your PPE, it is important!

@@78ramcharger53 100% agree with you haha! Thanks! I wanted a nice space to work in what can I say! The floor is a pain for fabbing as the sparks cause permanent pitting and burning which is why you see me using blankets. I am not sure I would go with the floor again but my concrete wasn't very nice looking and the white floors really brightened the space up a lot! Might try garage tiles whenever I build another shop! White floor in a fab area is a very poor choice....gets dirty so fast!
