Prettiest unit ever in my books, '77 Ford 3/4 ton. Of course, I was a teenager then, still my favorite though. Lol!
I loved my 1977 Ford F150. Wish I still had it.
My dream truck! Need to win the lottery!!!
Those 12 valve are super reliable I had a 1995 Dodge 12 valve the turbo is indestructible.👍
My most favorite truck of all time .
I love the highest level of these pick up trucks...
It's not a "dodge engine in a Ford" it's a Cummins engine in a Ford
Ya all these idiots think Cummins is dodge. But it's not in fact Ford own Cummins
@@allanstriber5272 Ford sold all their shares in Cummins decades ago because Cummins refused to put their engine in a Ford! Engine from a Dodge, diffs from a Dodge company, transmission and transfer case is Dodge! What you have there is a cow pie with cream filing! If Ford could build an engine people would stop swapping in Dodge and Chevy engines.
People will coyote ANYTHING ! , I'd put a Honda motor in it , over a Chevy , can't buy Dodge swag at a CUMMINS DEALER LMFAO 😂😂😅
@@bretstauffer3744People won't even keep a Coyote in a Mustang! Go to the drag strip, and 90% of the Mustangs are Chevy powered! We bought Cummins parts from a Cummins dealership in Calgary, and the box the part came in was a Mopar box! We were in a rush, so I didn't notice if there was any other Mopar stuff there. You can't get a Cummins in a Ford, in fact, you can't get a Ford with any decent engine!
Love the smell of a Diesel in the morning. Smells like $$$$
Mmmm I can practically smell it from here!!! Better than napalm in the morning!!!
O wow, a cow pie with cream filling!
That’s cool, more trucks please.
Love to see a walk-around on a OBS Ford from the 90s
That black paint sure highlights all the fingerprints.
Sweeeet! Love the old ford's and new
Damn I miss my 97 7.3
Ford always made best the looking trucks imo
Beautiful🔥🔥🔥❤️
Keep it
good work truck goose neck hitch in bed and a reese hitch in back very good farm truck
A cummapart in a F250 that sounds good to me .
Sweet,
the thing looks a perfect 70s truck.
the only thing i’ll do is an engine, exhaust swap to end those black clouds of poison.
nice unit.
I see your gauge doesn't work. Is there a way to keep these original gauges when doing a 7.3 swap from 99 excursion?
Wtf is a Dana 45? The rear is a Dana 60 lmao
Couldn't tell about the rear for sure, may have been a 70. The front is definitely a 44, probably fine if this truck will never be used for more than cruising.
Never heard of a dana 45...
The rear is a Dana 70 out of the donor truck, the front is likely a Dana 44
That isn’t a Dodge engine and WTF is a Dana 45!?
The wheel and tire combo looks straight hideous on that thing
Looks ok to me.
Super ugly.. I'd go back to steel wheels and stock center caps
And in the nissan titan.
Speedometer not working in your vidio
Black smoke is wasted fuel. Proper state of tune equals no unnecessary smoke and better power and economy.
Speedometer did not function.
My grandfather had a 70s f250 that was bright red. This brings back memories but that diesel just ruined it for me.
Why? The 5.9 Cummins helps the HiBoy gain everything it was lacking. Three times better mileage, easily at least three times the power, it will last much longer and the turbocharger sounds sweet!
Not a dodge engine!
Needs a filter? Thats what I heard if it smokes a lot.
diesel conditioner would clean it right up.
Wth is a Dana 45? Lol and that’s a highboy with a newer bed on it. Also a Dana 60 in the back lol
Maybe because it’s a high pinion is why it’s not a Dana 44?
Dana 70 out of the donor truck.
is it 4 sale
Sold
Nice truck, but this guy got it wrong its not a dodge engine in a ford. It's a cummins in a ford, cummins is a stand alone company and have been making engines in all sorts of vehicles and farm equipment. equipment
A Cummins engine built specifically for Dodge to Dodges specifications. Has there ever been a day you could get another brand of pick up with a 6cyl Cummins other than Dodge? No!!!! If Ford could build an engine, people would stop using Dodge and Chevy engines to make Fords move!
@@nathanadrian7797bit sore ?
Still not a Dodge butt sore brothers ENGINE😅😅
Dana not Dodge either
@@bretstauffer3744 no
Jesus!!! So many things this man got wrong. Literally got more wrong than right, SMH
Dana 45 , front diff 😅
I doubt that’s a torque flight transmission, and that’s most likely a Dana 60 rear. Definitely not a Dana 45 up front
Probably a 48 RE , which is Chrysler.
@@powerwagon3731 haha, I’m fully aware that a 48re is a Chrysler Trans but I’m curious as to why you would assume this truck has a 48re… this is a Ford HiBoy that’s running all the factory running gear except for the engine and trans, seeing as how the 5.9 in this truck has a P7100 injector pump it would make more sense to assume the engine and trans both came from a donor truck “most likely the same donor truck”, and the P Pump engines were only mated with 47rh and 47re automatic transmissions, the 48re was only used with common rail engines. A torque flight would make sense if the combo came from a first Gen donor truck and the engine was upgraded to a P Pump, but a 48re would be a pretty far reach.
Nice Truck but $65000 dollars is up there.
$65 for that truck, with that shitty looking 5.9 ???? It's a great looking exterior, but it looks like Cooter put that Cummins in there !
1989 was the first year for the Cummins 5.9L diesel in the Dodge Ram series so it was late 1980s more so than mid-1980s. I can do without the rolling coal smoke especially if I'm behind it. I'm all for power and performance, but when it smokes and stinks, it's not for me.
I don’t mind the smoke at all, and I’ve smelled some very awful smells but the smell of soot just is t up there with those smells, I actually kinda like it
calm down Sally. just pull the string & eat some chocolate
It just shows how dirty the engine is! When I got my 89 it would smoke black every time I gave it a little throttle, so I started adding Kleen Flo diesel conditioner every time I fueled up, and within 3 months I could no longer make it smoke.
@@nathanadrian7797No need for it if it is running right.
460 fuel injection 😮
Speedo isn't working.... :)
back when trucks were trucks...wouldn't want to fill er up tho
Sorry damn shame putting a diesel in that beautiful truck it was made to have a hittin gas burner in it 🎉
John deere
It is not a dodge engine
It’s a ford truck?
@@highoctaneclassics3969 Dodge uses Cummins as their engine of choice does not make it a Dodge engine
Cummins came in plenty of larger ford trucks.
Dodge🤮
As a diesel guy, I'm sooooo sick of kids "rollin' coal" All it's going to do is make legislators (who know absolutely NOTHING about diesel trucks, but have been stuck behind a kid (or this guy) blowing black shit all over their car) shut down old diesels !!!! (like California) And I happen to like driving my early 2000's 5.9's and 7.3 (of course I like the 5.9's better !!!)
