"And it sounds absolutely incredible" *proceeds to talk throughout entire video*
That high pitch Californian accent is unbearable. Wish there was a silent review of this
Cracks me up....Prius driver doing a vintage truck review. THHSUPER!
Ford needs to come out with same style body reconfigurations of these trucks
Small chance, not 0 but small chance of old style reworked like Mustang.
@@mikeswartz3146 he’s saying the body style, not the drivetrain. They will never make this body style again though. Because of the stupid crash safety laws. That’s why all modern cars are ugly, is because they “hide” the crumple zones under the body.
I once said that a 1939 Studebaker truck was the prettiest truck in the world but your truck just changed my mind. Brother you did an outstanding job on that truck.
Thanks for the review Parker! It's definitely been a fun build and we can't wait to build more F-Series trucks!
Any chance you guys will branch out into the F100s? You did an absolutely fantastic job with this one
What kind of mileage does this old girl get?
Excellent job guys.
@@pastaholicthey make them now
This is when cars and trucks actually had some style now every car looks the same cheap plastic with cheap plastic chrome.
Mans smoking that nostalgia bullshit. back then, especially with trucks, they all looked more alike than the cars and trucks do of today.
@@johnkenley4687 the bumpside and dentside fords did look similar but the different branxs all look different. Before you start saying crap actually know what your talking about
@redjasper1100 almost like it's still the same, even with todays trucks. It's still stupidly easy to tell brands apart.
@@johnkenley4687 when were you born because you’re talking like an average Gen-Z

What a beauty! I am not coyote swapping my current build but maybe my next. This is an inspiration for what to do!
W0W!!!
“AWD System”
Need to get some recognition of what you truly are talking about
Apparently this dude has trouble deciding which restroom to use also!
Son that is a Truck!
Hahaha!
I love classic ford trucks, my first vehicle was a 73 F100. They did a great job on this. It still looks the part.
I hate the steering wheel. I think a Wood steering wheel would be better for it IMO! The flashing lights in the cluster were very annoying too, but other than those things its a beautiful build!
Just so you know, the flashing is because of the cameras framerate in relationship with the AC power of the dash, so when you were in the car you wouldn't see the flashing.
It may well be a 1970 Ford, as all "Bump-sides" (1967-72) all shared the exact same body panels, bed, and had a lot of the same trim, but that is not the grille from a 1970. It looks like a 1968 grille. There are subtle changes in the grille Ford used from 1967 to 1969, but the 1970 was completely different, with a plastic eggcrate design replacing the metal linear horizontal bars of the previous years. Turn signals and hood class designators changed from year to year as well. Ford got a lot of mileage out of this overall design, and it changed very little, save the grille from year to year. I am VERY impressed by the rebop of this truck, and if I had the dough, I'd definitely buy one. Very cool! My chief complaint would be about the 6-lug bolt pattern on the wheels. The 3/4-ton and 1-ton versions of the originals had 8-lugs.
I think you’re right. I have a 70 F100 and had a 70 F350 ton. Both had the same grills. This looks like a 68-69 grill/front. The 70s honeycomb grill is the easiest to identify in the 5th gen.
Did he just call the locking hubs a yellow accent😂
yeah...SMH Sad!
Yeah I cringed when I heard that 😅
I also kept wincing when he kept saying "the speaker system" 😂
Beautiful Hi-Boy, but IDK if a Coyote would be on the top of my list for swaps, I'd personally rather see either a 6BT or even a 6.7 Cummins, if trying to keep it Ford, I mean, they already came with FE blocks, so a 428 would've been perfect, if new, I guess my next logical choice would've been the Godzilla.
Regardless, the horn doesn't work, the glovebox popped open with a tap of the throttle, and while I like the interior, the billet exterior pieces, super pristine paint, rear jump....it just doesn't look like they intended for it to really be used...and no, I don't mean beat or dent the bed to hell lol, but just used as a daily.
LOL...kids.
Didn’t seem to know what the vent windows were either. Then was sniveling about the manual windows…
Starting at 300k is crazy
and the horn doesn't even work
Just awesome!!
Wanna see more of car meets😅and yeah
My god! You were probably the first car channel I actually followed and kept up with. Haven’t seen a VV video in years! Glad you’re still at it
Love it ! Great job on the pickup👍
Beautiful awesome lookin Highboy truck!
This thing is just sooo nice 🔥🔥
Yes, a classic manufacturer for the future is Alive. This is what I call new style. Even though it’s old. Now I can say, out with the new in with the old😂
I designed that truck being the top ford architect...
Horn doesn’t work , glove box falls open and all for a good extortion price. 😳 Hate the dumb steering wheel and stupid digital dash. I’ll stick to my vintage 4x4 F250 5 speed one owner with 95.000 miles for a few thousand bucks, it works and hauls just fine. 🤷♀️🇺🇸
Man oh man! That's a nice ride. My favorites are the 68' and '72 but now I have to add the
'70.
Nicely done👍😎👍
Judging by the grill this is not a 1970 bump side, but a bit of a gen5 Frankenstein. Which is fine, it's a beautiful truck, most restored gen5's have a mix of years on it including a lot of new steel panels which are readily available. Very easy trucks to work on, I have a 67 f100 with a three in the tree transmission and 300 cid, not fast but fun to drive in the city.
Love this truck!
LOL, for having tight steering you sure do look like a pantomime of someone driving in 1917 with that wheel, haha.
that's what I thought also
No dude older a/c systems used r12 and the discharge pressure side was much lower resulting in colder temperatures. Higher the air being pressurized results in more heat making it harder to cool. Yes the new systems are more efficient but older systems if rebuilt to manufacture specs and r12 used its a massive difference. I’m running two older systems and they’re by far more expensive to service but are colder than my new Malibu hands down. Side note, cars are more insulated today so that’s why the cool air doesn’t dissipate as quickly. Throw some dynamat and new padding in your vintage ride and guaranteed your going to be 5-10 degrees cooler in the cabin using an older system.
Awesome video 💪
I like the sound of the older 5.0's and 5.8's from the 80's and 90's myself.
This truck is epic, this was when vehicles actually were built an not some shit box garbage thrown together an sold for $60,000 for nothing but plastic an some garbage computers telling it what to do cool video man.
Sick truck
Keeping car history alive
Loving theses types of videos feels nostalgic 👍🏻
Wait did Parker do a review on something I’d actually want! I’d take this over a Lamborghini any day.
It would get just as much attention.
Yeah for $315,000 dollars. Insane how much Velocity is charging people for these rebuilds. So much for the workin man being able to buy one.
I typed in new engine old truck and was thinking coyote. I’ve got a 83 bullnose. Sitting for years now since I bought it can’t wait to get in again
Explaining how the steering is great while navigating a what looks to be nearly a quarter turn of play 😂
You're calling this a 1970 F-250. With the front grill & the heater/AC controls, this is a 1967.
Grille style was from '67 to '69.
Heater/AC controls were knobs in '67. '68 to '72 were levers.
I owned a 1970 F-250 Sport Custom 32 years ago. It had plastic rectangle grille inserts & sliding lever style heater controls.
LOVE those wheels
Really hope that engine was warmed up before he went and hit those 5k plus rpms
I have a 1980 ranger step side that i am considering doing this to...do you recommend it? I have the 351 in it now and the unit is like new..im thinking i want the new power combined with a better fuel economy...
Beautiful
In the end this isn't a 150k pickup. No regular cab pickup is worth that much

NICE PICK UP TRUCK
GREETINGS FROM GERMANY
PETER
Nice truck. Was this filmed in somis or moorpark in Ventura county ca?
Would love to see someone make one of these into a 4 door truck.
Awesome truck! Love it and the review!
It’s so funny to hear you review an old truck when this is what I grew up with, they are far from perfect if there original. I guess I’m old haha.
I'm with you. I drove '72 brand new. No PS and 12.00 x 16.5 bias ply tires. And yes I could parallel park it downtown if I needed to go down there for some strange reason.
When I have Lambo money, I’m getting this kind of stuff instead lol
If you asked Charlie Sheen , he'd say .....winning!
You should do a watch collection video some time
A couple little details to address (horn and glove box) but overall a good looking truck!
and a transmission gear indicator????🤔
Not bad for a long bed.
Sloppy steering and no horn are details that really don't help Velocity's professional integrity.
That is a extremely stylish truck, plenty of style but did not loose the classic look, I myself don’t like coyote swaps especially in broncos.
Awesome
The blinker come on man
I think it’s just Messina gooseneck hitch
$300K and you get an annoying wind noise through the wing window...nice!
Beautiful truck. But I bet the original carborated V8 would have started faster. Vrommmmmm.
My dream truck
Could you please do in 992 gt3 manual review?
This is a pretty great video however it could've been better if you checked out a more stock truck first. The reason you can't tell what gear you're in is because the indicator's supposed to be on the steering column.
69 grill looks Nice too!
6 lug
What drivetrain mods were done ?
Chevy hubs and brakes or full passenger drop axle?
All Ford highboy f250 were 8 lug
Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear, Atlas transfer case.
Visibility used to be so much better in vehicles.
Beautiful Truck. I wish the wheels were chrome 😢
Seems like velocity needs to work on their fit and finish.
LONG LIVE FORD ❤
I don't like the wheel's either, other than that I'm sure it's a peach.
This should be nice for a restomod - Velocity sells these for over $250000.
You lost me at automatic transmission
I dont like it when people retrofit old vehicles like this. They lose their charm. I have an original 1968 F250. Original engine, transmission, and suspension. The Twin-I Beam suspension is... bouncy
I would be like being John Holmes.
Should have had chrome bumpers, front & rear.
Cool..I drive old cars and trucks because they're simple. Last thing I want in them is a computer. But still a nice looking, incorrect "1970".
Yeah man
Take that Bull shit engine out! And put a 460 with Cam and headers and a 6-speed overdrive manual transmission and let's Party!
WOW!!!!!!!!
whats wrong with vintage windows
The gear indicator is located in the right led screen below the speedometer. You pointed them out when you saw the digital speedometer on the left. FFS
The mileage is also in that display. You pointed it out.
That truck is too prettified to be useful. Its like having a plate you can't eat off of.
Nice looking truck, but I would be pretty tired after a trip if I have to steer that much going in a straight line.., you are constantly adjusting....! ?
he doesn't know how to drive a pickup, even if it's newer components.
the fools but seatbuckles on the jumpseats so when it rolls you get crushed
Quite a bit of slop in that steering box,
a 10 speed would have been nice in that truck
Slamming those door waaay to hard.
CZcams really hating on you
Question: PCH? What is it?
That is sweet tho
can a diesel be added for this heavy truck?
That much money, but couldn't that slack out of the steering wheel.
That is a sweet truck! I am talking diabetes sweet!
I bet this would be a blast to drive.
What kind of f250 has 6 lug hubs? Why would you put half ton axles under a 3/4 ton truck
Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear. Pretty sure that's a 3/4 ton layout.
Not a 1970 but it’s clean.. 70 was different from the rest different grill & different tailgate .
Was that slipping shifting from 2nd to third? nice truck though.
he probally broke it and blamed it on the owner cuz he's a pos!
Not sure if you will see this but I’ve got the same kind of truck I think and how could I rebuild it
Is no one going to mention the back up camera and screen in the mirror?? This is an absolute BEAUTY of a truck! Get Velocity on your channel to do some more in depth reviews!
You missed Sema 2022 😢
