"$268,000." "Oh, that's not bad." Jay IS a comedian.
🤣
OMG, I was just gonna comment with the same thing...so funny!
"I'd imagine you'd be able to make a profit at that price." Uh, ya think?!
Think of the man hours. And a guaranteed done date too? And nothing is boogerd or bubblegummed. Nothing is rigged. I was staggered as well, but i don't doubt it's worth it
Youd be surprised how much money it actually takes to do all of this the right way.
You can't properly build a vehicle like these from the ground up without spending a lot of money. Make a list of every part on a vehicle. Then look up the price of each part. It's not at all cheap. If you have the money to spend. And you don't have the skills to build it yourself. Then this is a good way to go. If you build it yourself, it would probably cost more. Because companies like this get better deals for buying in bulk.
Hey Jay it's great to see you back doing your thing. The f250 is absolutely gorgeous but the price 🤔
It's sad that they have become so expensive. I have to say I'd rather have just a nicely restored version.
Which could be over $50k and still not get any trophies.
In 2008 I gave a '71 f250 away to a young guy that I thought would do something with it
I was disappointed because he just jumped into the keyboard jockey world
I like 78 79 broncos eith rainbow color scheme
@@williampankratz600 So what's your problem? Keyboard jockeys rule the world. High school kids are even being hired for $100,000 a year jobs out there, if they have the right skills and intelligence.
Better than getting greasy in a garage with an old truck right?
And in today's world, money and security have to come first...before a hobby
$325,000 for a 1970 Ford F-250. Sure it has lots of new parts, but still…
Labor. Imagine the wages for 150 people for 14 weeks.
It does NOT take 100 people 14 weeks to do any kind of restoration unless they are being paid 100$ an hour and sitting around playing on their phones 7 out of 8 hours a day. Or…dont know what they are doing perhaps?
@@danstennis1817 I know of 2 guys who could do this twice over in 14 weeks.
This really only needs like 5 guys. Interior guy, electrical guy, metal fabricator, engine specialist, and 2 the people who puts it together.
i mean i wouldnt be surprised if it has 80k in parts alone, not to mention if you have to manufacture anything, the guage cluster is like $1000 if its dakota digital
The prices on these vehicles are jaw dropping.
mind-numbing, aneurysm-inducing, logic defying, wisdom-witholding
Yes they are out of this world expensive when price is no object you can make something nearly perfect. I am actually surprised there are so many people that can afford $300,000 for a restored/retro mod pick up truck. Unfortunately I am not one of those people maybe someday
@@billybob9961 There are a lot of wealthy people out there, and you'd never know it. They look, act, and dress just like everyone else.
,
Hell, I know guys who were hired right out of high school to work for computer companies, and now I'm sure they've got millions in the bank 10 years later. It's pretty common
Nobody is spending this much on a truck and actually hauling anything in the bed
@@andrewd7504 You have to keep in mind if a business owns it most of it is tax deductible. They might put pillows in the bed.
$268,000 more then my house only jay could say that’s affordable 😂
He’s being polite.
For that much money you would think that the side molding would go down the truck straight
Affordable for most $Millionaires and $Billionaires...
100% to original ok maybe alot of work goes into restoring old junk but for a restomod ?? Everything is bought out of a catalog just fitted to the final design
That guy definitely knew how ridiculous the price was when he stated it, it was written all over his face.
In January 1972 we were in the depths of Michigan’s winter. I was driving down the street one day with deep snow on both sides and I had just about had enough of all this GD snow & ice & cold. We all came to a stoplight in from of a Ford dealership. I looked onto their lot & there sat a brand new 1972 F100 4X4. I pulled out of line & drove into the lot & gave the truck the once over. It was F100, 4X4, regular cab, long styleside bed, world famous 300 cid I-6 engine with 4 speed granny box trans. I was thinking this would be just the truck to get me about Detroits slippery snow & ice covered streets & I could put a blade on front & make some side money scraping parking lots of snow. Window sticker? $3600.00
!
What I love most is they kept the rifle rack in the back window of the F-250. I think every regular cab pickup truck from this era should have a rifle rack in the back window. I remember when I was in high school every pickup truck in the school parking lot had a rifle or a shotgun usually a lever action in the back window and nobody got shot. Lol It's a different world today. Thank you 👍
Blame Mortal Kombat!
@@seanarmstrong7767 Definitely true 👍
@@brianlee6849 Seriously, how could things like that change so radically in such a short amount of time? Its honestly scary.
Blame ADDICTIONS !!! But Democrats love their murderous addictions...
@@dodgersfan8598 I'm 54 and it seems like yesterday that I was in highschool. It's really amazing how much things have changed. These kids today don't have any work ethic either. But somebody's got to be making some money to buy these beautiful classics. I'd love to have either one of these. If I had to pick up truck I would put a 30-30 in the back window. Lol Thank you 👍
Guaranteed 14 week turnaround. Very impressive!
$268,000 for a Ford Bronco and its not bad! What world are we in?
Just realizing you're a peasant?
Jay we all love vent windows ! You are so right ! This truck looks so perfect riding down the road every line is straight and true what a nice job Velocity did on these vehicles!
There is nothing like an original 1977 F250 Custom Highboy with a 351 Cleveland.
Im doing a fully restoration on a 73 f250 “highboy” 4x4 has a stroked 390fe in it every nut bolt and screw on the truck is stainless steel everything on the entire truck is new or restored to better than new. When its all said and done i will have about 25-30 in it and i did all the work myself minus the paint work but i did help with the body work. The truck was my dads for about 25 years up until he passed away in 2006. I love theese old trucks, cant say i would ever take on a project this big again myself unless someone was paying 50,000$ in labor lol
I am going to build a 1973 f250 highboy I bought it without a engine they blew up the motor but my cousin has a 390 that I will take apart and build it I do have the heads off of the 360 that came out of it the body is not too bad the only place it’s got cancer is above the fender wells on the bed I ordered the patches for it from LMC they seem to have lots of parts
These are Beautiful. My first new Ford pickup was a 1978 F-150 SuperCab. This F-250 brings back fond memories. The Bronco and the F-250 look like beautiful builds. Nothing overstated. I can't afford either one but if I could, I would be in line for a F-250 yesterday! Sweet!
OMG!!! 🤯LOVE LOVE LOVE that truck !!!🤩🥰 When I was a kid my neighbor had a 72 F-250 camper special, blue with white cab. I'd help him with getting hay put in barn and I got to drive the truck in the field and up to barn. Talk about in hog heaven.🐷😇 Loved everything about it and when came the time for me to buy my first truck...'79 Ford F-250 4x4 dark blue with metallic paint. It's got 160,000 miles on it and been a good work truck. I went on to buy an '82 F-250 s/cab 4x4 for my non work truck. In 1986 bought a new full size Bronco and F-350 4x4 crew cab. I own only American and only Ford! My friends say if I got an artery cut I wouldn't make it cause I would bleed Ford blue and no hospital carries that. So I tell them that's why the ambulance would have to take me to a Ford dealer instead of ER. Lol 😂
🙌🏼 just took out our ‘76 f250 yesterday - she hauls wood, gravel, tackles rough mountain roads - makes us smile every time she growls down the road.
Thanks Jay. The first vehicle that I bought brand new was a 1971 Ford F-100. I drove it 50,000 mile in the first six months, mostly on the Interstate at 75 MPH and 12 MPG. It had a 360 V8 which was pretty common. I think it was basically a short stroke version of the 390. I traded it in 3 years with well over 100,000 miles. Super reliable. The handling was decent after I put Michelin radials on it.
My dad had a '73 F100 with the 360, and you are correct, it was a destroked 390. He replaced the connecting rods and crankshaft to turn it into a 390. Besides the increased displacement, the swapped internals also increased the compression ratio. With a Holley carburetor and headers, that truck was a real stump-puller.
My 73' F-100 with the 360ci always got 14mpg, empty or pulling my very old 21' boat, which was HEAVY! It burned thru points every 300+ miles. I always carried a spare set of points, and it got so regular that I could change out a set of points in less than 3 min, even in the rain. No joke, ask my son.
We had a 69 with a 360. When that was spent we replaced it with a 390, what a difference!
In 2000 my first vehicle was a 1970 F100 Ranger XTL. All original with 360 and Cruise-O-Matic. I regret to this day not having it.
As a kid we had a 75 F-250 with 360 and a 2 barrel carb.
Jays awesome, he can keep up a conversation and make it interesting, glad he's back!
Go away , you crook
Thank you so much uncle Jay for these videos and the wonderful channel, Really appreciate what you do and you definitely have a much bigger fan base than you think.
I love the looks of the 250! Beefy wheels, reasonable ground clearance to go with 'em and yet a sleek body that doesnt look like a house on wheels, like modern trucks do.
Too bad 300k is out of my league, but if I had 300k to spare, I'd take a F-250 of this kind over any sports car in the same price range - old or new.
The truck looks awesome...but when they fired it up I couldn't help thinking, wrong! wrong!. The engine sound doesn't match my memory, I was expecting a 360, 390 or 460 sound.
You could probably do it yourself for under 100k. Buy a second hand pick and engine. Pay a mechanic to engine swap it for you lmao the set up is not that complex. The price tag is ridiculous
@@royalzak2670no doubt. I figured around $10k for a nice, rust free bump side F-250, either 2 or 4wd wouldn’t matter since you’re trashing the original driveline anyhow, then start with A well built ~350hp 12V Cummins, brand new NV4500 trans, Atlas 205 T-case and new Dyna-trac Dana 60 front and rear axles would run about $30,000, figure $10,000 for a really nice paint job on the body and frame, $25,000 for ancillary components like the interior power accessories, seats, stereo, clutch, brakes, wheels, tires, exhaust etc and $25,000 for labor and you’d have $100,000 in a truck that has the same horsepower, twice the torque and gets twice the fuel mileage of the 5.0 coyote F-250 shown here. Really just a better all around truck. If a man had the capital to build out 2 or 3 with the specs laid out above, maybe 1 with an automatic like an Allison 1000 with a $7,500 premium over the stick to appeal to different buyers, and you could put these guys out of business selling them at $160-180k and still be turning a really good profit margin.
Amen brother
Thanks Jay for all you do. Great video as always
My first alert of a new vid from this channel in years. Thanks for getting that working!
Yeh me too ! Dunno how many times I would subscribe and unsubscribe but nothing worked
same here
Love the sound of the door closes and how it rolls on the street...you can tell this truck is solid
raldyjimenez3319 But that's not how a Ford truck door from that era really sounds. I betting it 's got some kind of sound proofing in the doors. My 1967 Ford F-100 SWB. Sure don't sound like that.
Ford trucks always sounds like that when you close the door!!!
The book is actually called The Perfectionist: How Precision Engineers Created the Modern World. Looks interesting !
I would love that Bronco.❤
In the meantime I’ll keep buying lotto tickets.
Yeah. Whoever will win the jackpot will thank you.
Absolutely great video! Thank you for taking a look at our F-250 and Velocity Signature Series Bronco!
Awesome looking truck. Great to see companies like yours do vehicles better than new. A lot better than new! The owner will be happy I’m sure. Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮.
Great looking products y'all have there. Just as soon as I win the Mega Millions I'll be stopping by your shop for one of each vehicle and then down to Revology in Ocala for a slew of different Mustangs. 😀
Super awesome video!

Very nice build.
Brings me back to 1982 when I was just finishing high school and I owned a 1972 F250 Camper Special. Likely was a Canadian model as I'm in Canada. It had a 360 4-speep manual with armstrong steering. What a tank it was.
I would love to have either one of those vehicles
I absolutely love both vehicles, I thought the bronco was the one until you showed the F-250. I would buy both if able!
TV screen...🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Jay and your guest, very much indeed. What an unmatched honor and pleasure it is to be on the same couch and the cabin with you, hearing the great strories and the jokes.
Wind screen.
Love the gun rack! In high school we all had them with actual guns! And nobody was shot. Bought my Dad one For Father's Day and put it in myself.
Yep, I'm putting one in my pickup soon, maybe this week since I'm retired it could be the day it stops raining!!!
Grill on the truck '68-'69. I had a '68 camper special 2wd.16.5 gal behind the seat, plus aux 24 gal. tank inside the frame rails. Built in tool box in the passenger side bed. Drums all around. 360 2 bbl. or 390 4 bbl. Hauled my 10' camper with a trailer to the Ca. desert all through the '80's. Real tanks!
Outstanding build. Jay's correct- the 'stance' of this 250 is perfect. I really want one. Soon as I win the Mega jackpot...
If it came with the new 7.3 big block maybe, not that much money for a half ton engine.
Ain’t nothing like a classic Ford Pick Up 👍🏼
Wow! This is the first time EVER in all my years of subscribing to this channel that a new video has shown up without me having to look for it!
Old Ford pickups the best! In the 70's I remember seeing owners installing 351 Cobra Jets, Torino GT 390's and 428 Cobra Jets in they Ford pickups.
What a beautiful truck!!! That Bronco was nice too!!! Definitely two of the coolest vehicles that Jay has featured on this show... When I win the lotto, this would definitely be on the list... Thank you for presenting this!!!

I’m absolutely amazed that this truck does NOT have power windows! I guess ~$320k only gets you so much?
Bruh. You are buying a classic truck restored. You aren’t buying a Tesla 😂
Power windows are available for an additional $10k charge.
@@AustinH7
Bruh, and the original didn’t have air conditioning. So your point is what?😂
I've got a 69 F250 4×4 Ranger, factory high boy, no power steering no power brakes, little rough, original 360 FE fout speed transfer case, replaced timing chain and gears 1980 something, pulls like a team of oxen, climb a tree if it leaned a little, had 9,000 lbs in it, and on the 14 ft trailer behind it, carried about two tons of hay at a time, just in the pick up, drove it to logging jobs, around the state of Oregon to horse shows(Tennessee walking horses)and over a cord of fire wood at a time, 2 or three more on a trailer, miles, unknown odometer quit working in the 70s, I love the ol' beast, two tone khaki green and light green tan paint, one of the best vehicles I've ever driven, and a 68 F250 2×4 now with a little newer 302 headers, 4 floor, with power steering , NO power brakes, sound good, (loud), love it too, blue and white original paint also,
Nice to see Jay up and about and looking so good!
This era of Ford trucks produced some of the best looking trucks. I wish two tone paint was more common on today's trucks.
I live for your weekly shows. Stay well and keep going.
I had a 67' Ford F100 Stepside 6' bed with a 352v8 4bl. A C6 Auto with a Mustang console shifter on the hump and a 4:11 rear. Was my Daily Driver most of the time for almost 10 years.. I also had a 69' Ply Road Runner that I would switch back and forth with. Wish I had kept both of them. Sold them both in the mid to late 80s.
In HS a school mate had a 70' Bronco with a 302 and 4 speed. Chrome rims all the way around. This was in the mid 70s.
Another great review, Mr. Leno, it is truly great that we are going back to remaking these classic cars and trucks in America even though they might be expensive it is good to see these old vehicles brought back to life🙏🏽
Man, that is one sharp looking ford pickup.
That f250 is the most beautiful truck I’ve ever seen. My absolute dream.
Great job Cody. Velocity is an amazing company and it's great to see them recognized. What an honor.
Absolutly awesome video Jay I love the small Broncos and early 70s Ford trucks
the F250 is very nice. the Bronco reminds me of a Icon resto-mod.
My mom had a 71 crew cab long box 2wd 390 auto no over drive it was all brute force. It was turquoise with a white top and whit along the bottom. I have sum great pics of it it was on propane had a 380 liter tank in the front of the box with a white high rise canopy . She had the truck over 25 years and it hulled everything you can imagine from our huge house boat to fifth wheels boats go karts travel trailer. It did it all. She drove it year around and we kept it mint. Love both these rides u showed us. Thanks colby and Jay.
There is this.........and then there's my 1973 F100 6 cylinder that was just a good ol truck. I bought it for $600 in 1981 and kept it for 15 years and the next owner had it for another 10, and I'm sure it is still rollin around. Good ol truck.
Good to se you again Jay. Fantastic entertainment as always.
that's what dreams are made of right there... that truck is BEAUTIFUL! gotta be hard to put a price on it but 300+ sounds about right
🤡
I Love Jay.. "the big conditioner that went rrrrrrrrr"
The most important, when big guys look at those machines, that they are respecting all the looks and nerdy behaviors of the inventors and engineers that create and sell those vehicles and parts.
These trucks are awesome, I would love to be able to afford one. Thanks again Jay, I hope you are on the mend and doing well.
But…you could buy like 3 raptors and a few Lotus’ instead…and the Raptors even have AC! Absoooolutely they do.
@@talinredguard9616 That isn't really the point of it though. Someone buying this already has their regular cars and wants a classic that isn't going to be a problem car

Thanks Jay, I enjoyed watching.
This is the first JLG video that I have got the notification for. I usually have to search for the new video every week. Notifications don't work on this channel for some reason.
Velocity is making a great rebuilds. And Jay thank you for taking us along. Hope your feeling better. God Bless! ❤️🙏🏻
enjoyed seeing these two vehicles and hearing about the company.
I appreciate the discussion about the cost that goes into making something like this and still being able to make a profit.
I've restored a few cars and boats no where near that level (just hobby/enthusiast) and it is no shock that these get up into big $ to do them right and even with some warranty, Making enough profit to support 150 employees making a living is AMAZING!
I said to my wife that I really like old well maintained Ford trucks and I would love to get one. She said, "Why don't you keep the one you have for a really long time?" Haha....We have a 2017 Ford F150. 😉
I like Jays response to the price on the Bronco. Well $268,000. isn't bad ...................when you are worth 400 MILLION and have a close to a 90 million dollar car collection.

The F250 should have a supercharged 7.3 Godzilla with a 10 speed auto, 2 speed transfercase, Dana 60 and Sterling or 14 bolt rear. I understand not putting anything hotter than a 5.0 Coyote in a Bronco but for almost $300k it should have more than a 5.0, 4 speed auto, Dana 44 and 9".
Totally agree for $268,000 it should

It’s such a beautiful truck but man, I’d be so scared every day driving it whether it be scratching it or someone crashing into it 😅
$325k puts these F250's outta' my price range! And come on Jay, that's 15 times the cost of a home when we were kids!!
I fell out of the back of that truck in 1973, so-to-speak, I was just a child, thanks for the memories guys.
Beautiful truck, Velocity Modern Classics did a killer job!
Thank you!
Beautiful trucks done right. I want one of the F250s. Also, your guest Coby could do voice-over/ announcer/narrator work if the truck business slows down.
The best thing about Mr Leno over other car people he’s will be as happy to do a f50 pickup as much as a f1 proper car fella.

Glad to see you are doing well, love the trucks and it 's great it's not sitting in a junk yard. Love the videos.
