Vettel is a class driver, but very funny off track, even on Top Gear, he shows the human side to F1 drivers and Kimi Raikkoneon what can you say, a Champion also, pure class this year for F1
@megtree1 I believe Seb means that: maybe Kimi also got caught by Schumacher and then got very drunk, and so he is too hungover (headaches etc.) from the night before to attend the ceremony.

@Burnout900012 I am with you on that one 1000%! Another major contribution to his legendary status was the day he won at Monza '08 in a Toro Rosso! He beat Red Bull Racing, Toro Rosso's master team to victory!!! And the car was inferior to put it politely!
That's why I like Vettel!!! He is funny guy!!! And he isn't drank, he is just funny guy...he was the same during his Top Gear participation. He is just funny guy!!!! :P And GET OFF!
@cbesud1 I think the PR people would rather make him seem genuine and free to say what he wants rather than being a bit more "boring". I think the fact the he's a Red Bull (energy drink, generally aimed at the younger audience) employee might also mean that it's not as important not to tread on the older people's feet as if he were representing some hearing aid company or something.
Look out Jerry Seinfeld... Jp thinks if Sebbie V gets on the Catskills circuit then a string of dates at Dangerfields We all get a battle for next years F1 title!!!
@wahaya2 The car RBR and STR had that year, was not that bad. Webber and Vettel got some solid results that year and scored points on a regular basis. While Bourdais and Couthard didn't do well at all that year.
@Parkerthe1 and why did they have a better car than RBR in '08? It certainly wasn't due to Sebastian Bourdais' contribution of 4 whole points.Vettel claimed 39 of them.RBR didn't have a line up of outstanding drivers either.DC and MW were and are good but not good enough to generate and maintain winning standards. Yes MW came out the top driver for RBR that year but I think that considering when SV moved to RBR in '09 and won the Chinese GP he was the first man to win for RBR too.
Sorry, need some help! I'm not an English speaker and I don't get the joke about the reason why Rikkonen was not there (09:00). What is Seb implying? Rikkonen didn't come because Seb had a drink with Schumacher? Or he didn't come to avoid Schumacher?
@PeppiBle I dont think there is any malice involved in what he is saying. But why even go there? One of these days , he will surely say something that will create a storm If I were his PR person, I would tell him to stay away from this
@Burnout900012 Yeah everyone is a nice guy when things go their way. I remember him acting quite badly when things go bad. His no nicer than any other.
It wasn't easy back then when Lewis Hamilton didn't have his current, how do you say, "technical advantage" either. I don't see any of you pathetic Lewis dickriders admitting Lewis and Nico's current Mercedes car is so advantageous the last 2-3 years now. And that is an argument that can't be refuted. Don't believe me? Look up the level of domination Mercedes have had in the past few years and compare it to all the past superior cars of any season in F1, there are a few comprehensive comparisons made online, so the research is already done for you. Mercedes' current advantage is the biggest there has ever bean, even more so than Schumi's Ferrari. I mean, the damn car gains 3 seconds a lap on everyone else when in front of the pack in clean/clear air! Formula 1 is a double dynamic game i.e. Team Effort + Driver Effort (Team component in this case includes management and budget as well). One can't do it without the other. Both sides of the equation need to show up on game day. Mark Webber had the same car alongside Vettel for all those years, and he had more experience under his belt, but he was nowhere near the realms of Vettel. Yes he may have had many mechanical failures, but so did Vettel. And that can be attributed to the Team Effort/Component. And yes Vettel may have been favoured by the team as their number 1 pick. But you have to remember, Vettel was favoured because he was the better driver who produced better results. He wasn't the better driver with better results because he was favoured. From a management perspective, if you have a young prodigy who is vastly more prolific in producing exceptional results, as opposed to his ageing teammate who is passing the years of his prime, your money is on the young gun. Because not only is he your best bet to produce fruitful results, but also age wise, he can offer longevity, so you can milk out the success for much longer. Thus, he automatically becomes the better investment. It's basic business.
Funny speech. But I wish Seb would stop his German war jokes pls. The joke about Mme Tussaud's and Hitler, german knives etc.. I know he is well meaning. But there are too many people out there who paid a big price and dont find it a laughing matter. Also what exactly does his PR person Britta Roeske do. I am surprised they dont advise him on these things. Also stop him repeating "ya,obviously,to be honest with you" every sentence
If you didn’t know this was an award ceremony you’d thought this was a stand up comedy, this just shows how funny and charismatic Seb is 😂
this speech kind of get the whole thing why vettel is loved by so many; he's funny and humble but still an fantastic driver
You can't hate him, even if you don't root for him. Awesome guy.
I don't care how much Vettel dominates F1, becuase he's such an awesome guy, and this shows it.
An F1 Legend.
So articulate at a young age. LEGEND!
Top bloke, really hasn`t forgot that he`s just a normal guy.
Formula One is going to miss Seb. A brilliant driver and an even better human being.
I met Seb twice... Even had a jokingly taunting session... Totally agree with you! Awesome guy!
he's cute, funny, down to earth and an amazing driver, i juut dont get y people hate him so much
Finns are... different. That's a nicest thing anyone has ever said about us.
Vettel is a class driver, but very funny off track, even on Top Gear, he shows the human side to F1 drivers and Kimi Raikkoneon what can you say, a Champion also, pure class this year for F1
I couldn't imagine F1 without Seb. He is a soul and heart of F1 and as funny as Marcus "I'm not a meteorologist" Grönholm.
Vettel - a class act both on and off the track.
Legend!!
I dont like the fact he dominated the season but he's got an awesome sense of humor. A dream to interview. Wonderful ambassador for the sport
6:09 Comeback So Savage!

Superb Kimi Raikkonen impression by Seb :)
I'm no fan of sebastian vettel, but he is an absolutely superb ambassador for the sport. The guy is hilarious.
@megtree1 I believe Seb means that: maybe Kimi also got caught by Schumacher and then got very drunk, and so he is too hungover (headaches etc.) from the night before to attend the ceremony.
That's the smartest clothes I've ever seen him in
8:17 - 10:17 best 😂
"I would love to shoot my head." - He wasn't very motivated ... :D
this is why i love him
What a wonderful ambassador Sebastian Vettel is.

What TV channel was this transmitted on?
@Burnout900012 I am with you on that one 1000%! Another major contribution to his legendary status was the day he won at Monza '08 in a Toro Rosso! He beat Red Bull Racing, Toro Rosso's master team to victory!!! And the car was inferior to put it politely!
He went on stage again didn't he? Would it be possible for you to post that? Thanks.
That's why I like Vettel!!! He is funny guy!!! And he isn't drank, he is just funny guy...he was the same during his Top Gear participation. He is just funny guy!!!! :P And GET OFF!
What an event, I wonder if Button and Vettel'll get invited this year? They caused trouble last year.
@megtree1 I agree. 8 WDCs and a lot of alcohol... a frightening thought haha.
yes it does doesn't it. I found it funny how he fed his haters in Malaysia this year
@Lordvarbaro Ah, I didn't think about that! Thanks! :D
@stefanarak Now I got it! Thanks!
Schumacher and Rikkonen drinking together... that's scary somehow! ;P
@megtree1 he thought about Kimi loves drinking, mybe he is drunk now as usual :P .

It's been 9 years but I feel obliged to answer, I think he means that Kimi is currently having drinks with Michael
@7seattle7 explain why mark webber was so shady then eh eh? it's the same awesome red bull car he was driving!
@cbesud1 I agree with the other guy who replied to you...:)

Steve Rider should be presenting horse racing, not F1!
@welshlad6 So what?

Ahahahahaha! world war II joke...awkward!
not so easy now that your techical advantage has been taken away, i look forward to another moment of being a sore loser like at valencia this year

Anyone can win with Newey.
Paul Johnson why isn’t ricciardo? Why didn’t coulthard? Why didn’t Webber?
