And this scene is the first on a list of reasons why I will always defend Lost World over every other sequel. It’s actually my favorite in the franchise
@Meian You and I both.
Same. I like it more over the original.
I agree...I watched this first before the original. ..this was scarier
So true 👍 👌
I always preferred Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park over the other movies for several reasons. In addition to The Lost World being the only Jurassic Park sequel directed by Steven Spielberg, it’s also the only sequel in the series to have John Williams return for the score. I also love the part where the T-Rex goes on a rampage in San Diego.
Mother T-Rex : *Prepare For Trouble !!!*

I don't mind the Lost World. It has its flaws. But this sequence is legitimately scary and intense.
I don't think it's on par with the original paddock scene, but it is absolutely a worthy followup.
Where the paddock scend felt like a zoo gone wrong, this scene felt like a safari gone wrong. Highly grounded and intense.
And it culminates with the *best, most brutal, badass, memorable* death scene in this entire franchise!
RIP, Eddie. You didn't deserve it.
and *JP3's* search/rescue scene felt like the search/rescue gone wrong.
@@RanaRandom Which scene are you talking about exactly?
@@alexbastos6960 the *landing* scene
@RanaRandom Yeah, the Spino's first attack! It would've been just as iconic if only it had been better directed.
I mean, it's kinda hard for it to be on par with the scenes from the first two movies when most takes don't last any longer than than *THREE SECONDS.*
Spielberg just knows how to build atmosphere and tension. Wow!
thats why JP 3 wasnt very good
@@pyramidhead138 I liked it. The visual effects in it are amazing.

I can NOT be only one who to this day thinks the baby T-REX is adorable
What could be worse than a T-rex? Right! Two angry Tyrannosaur parents! Imagine the horror that Malcolm was experiencing at the moment, because one night he was on the verge of death and was almost eaten by a Tyrannosaurus on the Isla Nublar...
What I loved about this film was it portrayed the T.Rex’s as caring parents than just your typical bloody thirty predators.
Poor guy must have been having flashbacks to that moment.
And no means of starting the trailer for "must go faster"
I actually had Lost World Chaos Island on the PC as a kid, and I remember Eddie's description of the T-rex included "The only thing worse than being attacked by a T-rex is being attacked by two"
What could be wores than a T- rex Right Two angry Tyrannosaur

I love how the mom is talking to the baby. Then you have angry dad nudging the trailer. Mom yells at him that our baby is in there
3:07 I like how Ian became scared after she said that. He asked himself, "what would I do if someone kidnapped my kid?" And he did not like the answer.
How did they not hear the T-Rexes coming? To flip the trailer like that they would have had to have been charging at full speed
They must've charged the trailer at full speed walking on their tippy toes, creeping up close without making a sound; because if they ran, their footsteps would've been heard. So I suppose they decided to edit that out and just have the offscreen trexes charge the trailer without the sound of their footsteps to not make the scene any more intense than it is. Just my opinion.
Well if the first part of this scene is anything to go off of. I don't think the T-Rexes were charging the trailer. I think they just walked up to it. Now given that the T-Rexes still make tremors when they walk, probably memes of the trailers are probably have great shocks and better sounds proofing.
Plus this is a several Ton animal. it doesn't actually need to charge just to push the trailers.
@lukekelly5075 yeah they probably just walked up to the trailers and one of them head butted the trailer and caused it to fall over on its side and then both of them flipped it over together in order to push it off the cliff.
"they came for their infant!"
"lets not disapoint them"
😂😂😂
Releasing the baby was the worst part. As long as they had it, the T-Rex parents weren't hurting them.
Actually if they hadn't done that, I'd imagine they would have done what they did in the book.
In the book the mother Rex crashes her head through the window to grab the baby gently in her jaws to take him out.
Releasing the baby was the good part, except they didn't expect that the parents would hurt them due to misunderstanding
@@johannsupersaiyanred1442 that would of been cool to see
Yeah in the novel the mama Rex wasn’t having any of there bullshit She’s wasn’t as patient as she was in this scene
As cruel as it sounds, they should have thrown the baby Rex off the cliff hoping the parents would chase it down the cliff. It's worth a shot at least. We all know what that baby will grow up to be one day.
I like how the T-Rexes stop pushing the trailer at the most suspenseful scene. Very considerate of them.
more cinematic that way
That scene at 2:00 she looks so real it’s scary ! Today’s Jurassic world dinosaur don’t compare !!!
Animatronic vs CGI
The rexs were coming for their infant . After humans invaded their territory they had to destroy the trailers to defend their home . In the novel it was the same thing.
No? Really? I'm shocked by your analysis of this scene.
@@stephenraynes2148 after I read the novel by Crichton knew it was both the same thing. The rexs were retrieving they’re infant and had to destroy the trailers .
@@stephenraynes2148 No? Really? I'm shocked by your analysis of this comment.
@@gabethedinosaur95 Yeah, the presence of their infant in the trailers modified their perception of their territory, expending it, and therefore making them think this part of the island is part of their territory. Thus, they felt the need to destroy the trailers, pushing it off their territory. I'm currently re-reading the novel and it's explained that way.
Underrated sequel
I think we can only appreciate how successful it was when we compare it to the next 4 films in the franchise.
For a very long time, I had *no idea* there were people out there who actually *didn't like* this sequel.
I've loved it since the first time I saw it. This sequence, in particular, blew me away in the movies.
I just freaking love that gutural sound 0:47

I wish Eddie didn't die because was a hero
Female: “Humans!!”
Male: “Thieving mammals!”
Female: “Are you okay, my little egg?!?”
Infant: “Yes, mama, but I’m in pain. I think they’re trying to help me, but it still hurts.”
Male: “GIVE ME BACK MY SON!!!” (Nudges the side of the trailer)
Female: “My love, stop!”
Infant: “Mama, it hurts so bad!! Don’t leave me!”
Female: “We won’t sweetie. Mama and daddy are here.”
Infant: “Where were you?!? I was calling you for hours!!”
Female: “Sweetheart, we’re so sorry. We didn’t mean to, we ran into trouble, I swear!”
Male: “She’s telling the truth.”

Male: “Did they hurt you?!?”
Infant: “No, not these humans, other humans.”
Female: “Others?!? Wait, what are you doing with our baby?!?
Male: “I think they’re letting him go.”
Infant: “Mama!!! Daddy!!!”
Male: “It’s going to be okay, buddy!”
Female: “You go straight to daddy once they let you go!”
Male: “Don’t do anything stupid, mammal.”
Infant: “Daddy!! I’ve missed you!!”
Male: “I’ve missed you too, buddy. Let’s get you home.”

Male: “We’re going back to kill them aren’t we?”
Female: “Ohhoho, yes! I’m infuriated by those filthy humans!! Also, I love it when you read my mind, darling.”
Male: “Only because I love you so much.”
3:11 I always wondered what exactly did Ian see before the attack?
How did Buck and Doe not make any noise when they returned to push them off the cliff?
Surely Ian and the others would have heard or felt their foot steps right? 🤔
He realised the parents weren't going to stop with the release of their child.
@@AncientBeast65 Ah so that explains the look on his face. I always assumed he was looking out the window and he saw Buck and Doe charging straight towards them! Which still leaves me wondering, how the heck did nobody hear the parents coming back!? 🤔
@@dianamolina6335I think they heard it, that’s why the scene cut short of both rex charging at them . With Ian’s face, I think he saw both buck and doe look back at them.
I don't think he saw anything, I think when Sarah spoke about the parental behavior of the T-Rex's Ian asked himself what he would do if someone kidnapped his daughter and realized in that moment that they we're about to be attacked because that's what he would have done under the same circumstances for himself.
@@lilbigfan3782 i think they both hid the baby some place then both looked back at the trailer and proceeded to attack by either charging at it or just walking up to it and both nudged it over using their heads to flip the trailer and push it over the cliff

The sound of the glass cracking under the weight of her body....

4:02 "HANG ON TO SOMETHING!"😂😂😂😂
Mommy and Daddy are very angry.
I love seeing Vince Vaughn also be in this.
Also the fact that after they release the baby Rex, Malcom locks the door like that’ll help them lol
The use of the animatronics makes this extremely realistic.
I know this isn’t the velociraptor part but my god when I fist saw this movie I jumped as high as they did in the grass haha oh I do love this movie out of all of the movies this holds near and dear to my heart . I watched this with all my brothers maybe that’s why I love lizards so much is this movie.
Although this wasn't the best movie (it definitely had big shoes to fill by following the first movie), it still stands on its own cause it actually feels like a solid continuation IMO. Actually expands on the universe by introducing Isla Sorna and giving a decent conclusion by letting the dinosaurs live in peace. I also like how they still acted like animals, especially the T-Rex Parents making sure that the threat to their offspring was eliminated by pushing the trailer off the cliff.
They are animals. Technically, so are humans. I love this movie.
I know right
I feel like this would've been the perfect place to end the franchise if not for the sequels. (As much as I loved the first Jurassic world)
No loose ends
This movie was so good. Wish they would make another one that was good.
Whether they did or not is a matter of opinion.
The T-Rexes are angry because they want their baby back.
Really?i dont think anyone knew that
well... yeah
Oh I want my baby back, my baby back
Also the baby t rex is smaller than the parent t rexes
Really? Jee thanks I didn't know what a life saver
3:15 what did Ian see the trex charging or just standing there ready to swing its head to roll the RV
He just realized something
Late to the party but he realised that the rexes were going to be protective, and that they wouldn’t have just left. They were going to ensure what happened (the infant being in a trailer) would never happen again. Not only that, but it’s a territorial behaviour seen in many animal species today. Ian realised the rexes weren’t just gonna let them off easy on the first offence.
He just realized he was in a Jurassic Park movie
Some people think that tyrannosaurus are really dangerous but they are very protective of their babies and their territory
Fact: The baby has a name and gender. Junior, male.
This is a proper lost world movie
And I pop the question, WHOSE DUMB IDEA WAS IT TO PARK ON THE EDGE OF A CLIFF IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?!
If I didn’t know any better, I swear that the 🦖 on the right is the mother and the one on the left is the father
the one with scars is buck, hes the dad... the other is doe
@@arcrisgonzaga7324. Oh
And buck is green doe is brown
@@knowanoah2rodriguez729no doe is green and buck is brown
@@owenparish1793 No, Doe is brown, and Buck is green. Buck is also smaller than Doe, and has a different growl, which you can also hear in the infant (showing the baby is also a male). Doe was the one taking the baby back, while Buck was at the other side. Long story short, Buck appears first in this scene and the mother appears shortly after. She's also the one who pushed the car at the beginning. And of course, Buck was in San Diego.
1:17 I think it’s telling the baby to leave
How did he from they’re going back to the jungle with a call to, then wrecking the trailers without a mention, Eddie sold em wolf tickets lol
It probably looked like they were, but the rexes might have circled back around.
Considering same setting as the book, it was pretty dark, they couldn't really see much on outpost and the only light is from the trailers. What trexes did after getting the baby is put it down on light's edge circled back and attack the trailer.
Maybe one of the best scenes of all time?
This sequence is probably one of the reasons I've rewatched this movie even more times than the first one!
I wouldn't say it's actually *better* than the original, but there's something about it that makes me go back to it more often.
This movie is not only not better then the original it’s also kind of the worst movie in the franchise 👎🏻

They need their young one back.
This movie had some great moments. But I still say it would have been far better if it stuck to the book.
It's not perfect, but I love this movie. Don't agree with people who say only the first is good.
The Lost World is my favorite.
They just wanted their child back
A few things:
1.) Just after entering the trailer, the SUV gets tossed over the edge. Meaning the Rex’s were literally right behind Malcolm!!!
2.) What happened to Sarah’s Mobile satellite phone? (not the one that just dropped, the one Malcolm used to track Sarah in her lucky pack.)
3.) After the trailer rolled, Nick and Malcolm went for the door, WHY DIDNT THEY GRAB THE SATELLITE PHONE FIRST!?!
4.) After the trailer rolled and the one door was jammed, why not move forward to the first trailer (if not to hide) to get out there!??
1. Yes they we're absolutely right behind him, he took a big risk dropping out of the high hide at the time he did, they we're never far behind him.
2. Not sure but I think it's pretty safe to assume it was somewhere inside the trailer or one of the SUV's all of which went over the cliff. If it we're in the trailer I'm sure it got lost in the mess of everything when the trailer initially got rolled by the Rex's.
3. Pure panic, when your brain goes into survival mode you don't think about little details the may be beneficial to you in the long run, your brain is in fight or flight mode and acts accordingly to get you away from the immediate threat at hand.
4. In the book (so I apply it to the movie as well) when the rear trailer gets rolled and the front RV doesn't the accordion connection tethering them together gets tightly twisted shut and makes the front trailer inaccessible. However if I am remembering correctly I think when Eddie show's up he has clear access between the two trailers so in that case I would go back to number 3 and say it just didn't enter their minds because of the state of panic they we're in.
Swear to God I can translate this entire scene from growls and roars to english

Both of them released all the dinos and led to the death of many people of 2nd group and still got the help for no reason and yet they again deceived them.
