    I have the seals already so that's why i am doing researches and i saw your video.
    Thanks again and good luck in every project you do.

      I used to work as a mechanic. if I had a whole kit I install a whole kit that would guarantee my labor.by the way is better to clean the parts .my humble opinion.

      Bad habits are hard to break, but you can step it up a little cleaning the parts, and the work bench, with some gloves on as you go!!...you already have the skills!!, and great video that really helped!!..much appreciated!!!

      As a car mechanic I couldn't either. I cringe to think how many particles of grit went into the assembly.

    Is there a certain direction for the dump valve? I put new seals in my hydroboost from my 18’ ram 2500 6.7 (the hydroboost and power steering were working perfect other than a leak). Mine doesn’t leak but now there’s a hiss when turning the steering wheel and when you turn it applies the brakes. Something is not right. The brake work fine .

    Guess some folks idea of clean, a rebuild, or a rubber mallet are different than others.
    When he put the pushrod in before putting it back together again I knew he didn’t have a clue to how these things function.

    Great info but if you take on this job be sure to pull everything apart and thoroughly clean it all then clean your hands then reassemble using only clean fluid to lube seals crud will cut the service life of your new seals among other things drastically.it sucks but you'll be glad you did.

    Buddy, you will destroy your hands banging on the wrench handle like that. Hold part with one hand push wrench with other get a cheater bar and after a while maybe a bench vice.

    • @dm-zx7xb
      @dm-zx7xb Před 4 lety +1

      They say if that rod is "staked" then you can't do it. That rod would need to be cut to slide the seal out and then welded back together - not the best thing to have parts cobbled together with your brakes.

    • @emilyramsey9079
      @emilyramsey9079 Před 3 lety

      Speaking of cobbled... Clean your F@ing work area and the shit your working on. That shit so nasty you need a level 5 bio hazard suit to work in there. You can not do a good job on repairing things that are so grimy you can't give a good visual inspection for bore scoring and so on. And to lay your brand new seals on that oily table that's grit grime and SAND that's going to trash your work. Don't know about the SAND and from looks of it you don't either but it could be. This is why it still leaked when you put it back in.
      Now that being said I'm just busting your ball here because you have potential turning wrenches but for God's sake don't make yourself look like a dumb dumb and put that hog a stigh on video. At least you wasn't wearing a gay pair of gloves worried about getting your hands dirty. Lol 😆 Good video no hard feelings
