    Wouldn't go for the black & gold version personally, it's a tad overused, especially in bad 'want-to-look' premium designs.
    My choice would be for dark green / marsala / blue matte finish & metal combo.

    i am currently working as a graphic designer, but i feel like i have no motivation to seek courses or keep learning about it. However these videos I always watch to keep my creativity and eye for design flowing. They really help!

    Take a look one more time at tiramisu first design, i agree there are many mistakes but it still looks better than your "clean and right" version. Image, colours and mood is better at the first version

    • @jeansienkin
      @jeansienkin Před 3 lety +2

      Yep, the first design looks much more foody and joyful than the redesign. The redesign looks too generic, the new photo is worse. The script font of the original design is a better match. The only things that needed improvements were the messy sans serif fonts.

    • @saintdaniel6403
      @saintdaniel6403 Před 2 lety

      I disagree with this. If you're conversant with the basic principles of design. The first design is crowded and almost impossible to decipher at a glance. The image, colour and mood are all accounted for and more generally appealing in the second version

    These exercises are brilliant haha! Love watching along and judging what changes might be the most optimal (and giving myself a lil pat on the back when correct)
    Keep it up mate. Little changes, but massive improvements.

    I’m sorry Satori, but your tiramisu redesign although cleaner, does not look finished. Bizarre use of space and typography

    The tiramisu redesign, maybe is too "rigid"? I would enlarge the font a little bit and make it all more...inviting

    • @wh0586
      @wh0586 Před 3 lety

      You might have a point, but it would depend on context. That clean and rigid design would fit well in certain situations

    2:17 as you said, clarity is important in design. Cramming too much information into design won't work. And typography plays a major role.
