    One of the most insane parts of Hunden's story is about the anti-strats segment. He was accused of sharing the teams strat book and says "All I did was share anti-strats" as if that makes it okay and him not guilty. They're literally 1/2 of the strategy as a team. That's why they're called anti-strats. It's what your team does vs what their team does to make the plan for the match.
    What a wild story.

      Well, to be fair, its a bit more complex than how you lay it out. A Danish podcast debated whether or not what HUNDEN did was wrong. All of this is of course speculative as we dont know exactly what he shared. ESIC themselves actually admitted to being lazy and they didnt even review the entire material. In my own opinion what HUNDEN did was disloyal, but ESIC's handling of the case is poorly at best.
      If HUNDEN were sharing his principles, his philosophies and how he thinks of the game which is something Heroic has build their strategy around - however how can Heroic have copyright on HUNDEN's own theories, thoughts and mentality ?
      If a club in football signs Mourinho - they get one philosophy, if they sign Guardiola they get another philosophy. Does that mean that Roma or Manchester City owns those ideas now? No, it doenst.
      It would be like if Mourinho or Guardiola goes on TV-broadcast and discuss how they want their team to build up play, press etc. You can actually find interviews of such things - you cant however find lawsuits against coaches for doing that.
      There are coaching meetings where coaches discuss these things in details together.
      HUNDEN created the "danish playstyle" together with Glalve while they worked together along time ago - way before Heroic - and those ideas are his own ideas aswell. Therefor it is more complex. then again it is hugely disloyal sharing it with rival teams.

Hunden essentially was fine letting astralis straight up know what would (would, not could) happen in their next brawl.

      I’m not sure how new you are to CS but I’ll give you the very basics of it. Astralis are the greatest team of all time. In the Danish scene the most competition they’ve had recently has been Heroic. Zonic the Astralis coach and Hunden the Heroic coach are widely considered the two best Danish coaches ever in CS and are both up there for the best in the world. A lot of Danish pros have accredited at least some of their success to Hunden and he’s done a lot to advance the game as a whole.

      Agreed. There’s no way the org and players didn’t know. No way in hell. With so many coaches doing it, it was probably expected of some of the coaches to partake in the cheating. And as the orgs are bigger than the individual coaches they throw them under the bus once they’re caught and make the coaches the villains.

  • @TheBelgianEmperor
    @TheBelgianEmperor Před 2 lety +7

    Honestly. I disagree with the fact that 2 years is too much. If anything, it would be too little in my opinion.
    I would judge this offense on the same level as the coaching bug. They are different, but I think that in some ways, this was worse, since you're actively going against your own team to benefit another team (and mainly yourself as an individual). This would get out of hand if you don't punish hard enough for that stuff.
    So that would put the sentence to one year maybe. But then you should also consider that (in contrast to how he handled the coaching bug) he actively went AGAINST ESIC to undermine their investigation trough public channels. I'm pretty sure that could be considered as making the offense worse.
    And let's not forget that he's a repeat offender, showing that he hasn't learned anything from his first ban, because it wasn't long enough. You cannot look at Hunden without looking at the fact that he used the coaching bug. This is already the second time he's challenged the integrity of the games. He SHOULD be getting a worse ban than for just doing something once.
