  • Figured this video would be fitting considering that I did a one year review of the 455 rancher. And absolutely fantastic saw that I would very much buy again if I couldn't get it fixed. Though I most likely would and probably would just buy a 572xp lol.
Stay tuned for the commemorative 300+ subscriber video that I have coming hopefully this Friday. You guys are all awesome, thank you again. ❤

I'm not sold on Stihl's M-Tronic, or Husqvarna's Auto-Tune systems. They seem to be a double edge sword. They're great in that they automatically adjust to the terrain, and plugging them into a computer with corresponding diagnostic software will diagnose any issues quickly. Now here's the other edge of the sword. The saw is down for the count if those systems fail in the field until you take it in for repair.

That plus from what I understand, the carburetors unlike fully adjustable ones, are not serviceable by the consumer.
Even though I'm not entirely sold on auto adjusting carburetors either, I got to admit that MS462 looks nice.

If your Auto-Tune fails, you can use a carburetor off a 585XP, you might have to change some lines or reroute them, but you can do away with the Auto-Tune.
Time will tell if the AT will stand up through long use.

@@gunterbecker8528 👍 I haven't had any problems out of my 592 XP, it's the most beastly saw I've ever owned.

How's it going in the meantime? Im very confused what to buy even thinking about a 462 Stihl now,but this is a big saw just for chopping up 2 single axle trailer loads at a time ! What's your opinion on that matter??? Here in Australia they ask the same money for a 400 and 462 !

Just ordered one yesterday. It will be the updated model dish piston air filter and supposed to have the hot start issue fixed. Got the full wrap and big Dawgs and 24in light bar!

The manual for my 562 specifically says to use high idle position when hot starting.

Great saws to have around nowadays if you live and work in places with hotter climate like I do. 👍

It took me awhile to get used to the auto tune as well on my 592XP, recently brought a 572XP. Cant fault both saws, have a MS660 stihl and the 592XP smokes it in hard wood running a 42 inch bar
