7-2 and some idiots still believe that Kim's retirement benefitted Serena 🙄🙄😑😑
Kim was lucky she didn't get to play Serena in 2011 & 2012.

Exactly. Same thing they said about Henin and she came back and got thumped in 2010.
Venus also chocked in the 2010 USO against Kim. Racist Tennis world became fans of anybody that could compete w/the Williams back in the day. They just wanted them out.
We all know Henin and Kim wouldn’t last a hour with Peak Sena 2012-2015. Henin got lucky she played a hurt Serena in 2007 otherwise that h2h would be like this also 😴😴

This might be my personal opinion, but Clijsters was the closest rival in matching Serena in power and athleticism. I think her first step might even be a fraction quicker than the GOAT. But Serena is just mentally a beast. I love these two, such inspirational athletes and crazy they are both still doing it in 2021. I hope Kim can find some form and fitness in this 2020-2021 comeback, her strokes are still there, but she’s been out for so long, it’s going to be tough!

Maybe a onesided rivalry but almost all of their matches were 3 sets. I feel like they have fairly similar playstyles. Serena is more agressive, heavier strokes, better serve and more of an all court player while Kim is a bit more defensive and is better at retrieving. But Serena is by far the stronger mentally.

Aw this is so nostalgic. It’s crazy how close all their matches were but at times the head to head was so lopsided 5-0 and 7-1 to Serena. Queen! Also can we talk again about how effed up still that 2001 Indian Wells final was? The nerve of that crowd to boo the winner.....and to a US player playing in the US? Let’s call it like it is, it was racist.

Clijsters is by far the best player in the history of tennis in terms of technique defence & power hitting but remained rather less successful throughout her career due to injuries & family reasons. Serena & Venus both remained out of tournaments unless Clijsters retired second time ! Even the GOAT in Men's tennis Nadal admires Clijsters play ! Remember Clijsters was the one who revolutionised Tennis with splits & athleticism then both Nadal Djokovic and many more followed them to improve their games & careers ❤️😇👍

She then won 3 in a row before ASV retired. Her losses to Osaka are not surprising since Naomi is in her prime and Serena will be 40 this year, lol. The h2h against Bammer is quite random.

If we could have our real Serena back, the one that’s leaner like she was in these photos, she would already have her 25 GS. She had the perfect size and shape, and could get around the court so fast. But it will take more sacrificing of weight and practice. People were counting her out as far back as 2004, and she won more Slams after they counted her out, than she did before. We love you Serena!

Serena's weight was never the issue. People said the same thing during the 2007 Australian Open. Hell, people said her weight was the issue when she was winning the majority of slams she played. That comment honestly exposes lack of knowledge.
