I dont think we know the actual reason but based on the april songs I saw, Rachels vocal tone is kinda a mix of vocal line (imo), so Im guessing since vocal line was there and Rachel is a rapper + a newly added member they just decided not to use her voice. April story is also more vocally based which is probably why Yena and Rachel (the two rappers) were robbed, tho its still not an excuse for their lack of lines cause they could have sang some of Chaewons, Jinsol and Naeuns shorter lines :/
@@TT-je5wu It's because the song is very vocal heavy and the group only has two members that can actually sing (I mean actual singers not idol singers)
I heard from another comment that it's because the song was already done by the time she joined the group, so instead of redoign the whole song they let her have a solo dance break (which also showed off her years of dance experience).
For Twice truth distribution line, there is one thing I don’t understand : why do they count the silence at the end of the song as jihyo’s part 😂 like maybe she has the most lines but the silence can’t be counted as her singing
It's probably her harmonies. The format looks different, so maybe the system was different as well. So, the linss before the silence was what Jihyo actually sang solo and whatever got added at the end were her harmonies. I don't know for sure though thats just my theory
its not the silence that is counted, the channel that made the line distribution has a way of doing it where, unlike most line distribution channels, they actually count the lines separated when a member has an adlib or another line on top of the one they are already singing (like jihyo singing her line while also doing adlibs in the background) thats why there are two counters, the right one being the one with the extra lines that get added at the end of the line distribution
As a once of ~5 years I am so proud of the growth that TWICE and their productions has had in these last years, It feels like feedback from the fans have been put into consideration ^^
In fact, I find it very unfair that jeongyeon is given very few lines, since she is the second best vocalist of twice, and jyp does not take advantage of her talent, also with jisoo they give her very few lines and it seems very unfair to me
There's also AoA's debut song where Seolhyun had no lines. My conspiracy theory on that one is that AoA Black was meant to be the group but they decided to switch it at the last second and make it a traditional girl group. They then added the "dance line". Since Chanmi was relegated as a rapper they gave her parts of Jimin's lines (which looked and sounded like a recurring theme in their early song where it feels like it's 1 long Jimin rap but Chanmi had a few lines). And then Hyejong could sing and was/is the visual of the group so she got to have actual lines. I love AoA and how they went musically but I always wonder what could've happened had they stuck to their girl band unit. I hope SM alleged Girl Band can bring that early AoA late Wonder Girls vibes back.
AOA was meant to be band + dance group. The reason why Seolhyun didnt get any solo line is maybe because she is the weakest singer and there are only a handful of singing lines in Elvis which have to be distributed to ChoA, Yuna and Hyejeong.
AOA also has B-sides where Chanmi and/or Mina don't have a single line :(( I don't remember the song names but as a Chanmi bias I remember being so disappointed
No Seolhyun didn’t have any lines because the Elvis barely has words, and she has always been by far the weakest singer in the group. AOA pretty much always assigned lines by skill set. ChoA was the best singer by far and had the most lines. yuna was second best and also had a lot of lines. Hyejong was also a very good singer so when there was someone other than those two it was her. Jimin was almost always doing the rapping unless Chanmi got a part. Later Mina improved her singing and was given lines as well. Seolhyun never improved and so her lines stayed minimal.
For me: A title track should be well distributed between vocalists, but it's fine to main/lead vocalists to have more lines, rapper are exceptions, it depends on the song. But i consider not fair put only the main vocalist to sings chorus part's if the other members are vocally capable of it too. For b-sides, sometimes for the producers, a song really suit a specific member, but they still need to release a 'group' song, so i can accept a member with a really high amount of lines, but this 1 sec participations are a bit weird. Seems like they still need to put the name of the member as a participation in a song as a part of a contract or something, but they don't want this member to ruin the mood of the song. I Know there will be many of them, but a song that i consider really well distributed is 'Dreamcatcher - Propose', a b-side from the last album. From the 7 members, 6 of them sung the chorus, 3 on chorus 1, and 3 on the repetition(chorus 2), and the reaper did her job on the raps. It's just a example on a song i know from a group that i know. Every group will have well and bad distributed songs.
i agree, but you should check out haseul's let me in or her parts in love&live!! she recorded a demo for hi high, and her voice would have fit so well with the song. i don't know a lot about the other groups here but we were robbed with loona's debut
Soyeon gave herself only the outro line on purpose to show even in the line distribution she was hiding. Moon can be seen as them trying to hide from the spotlight or a past lover. For that reason I don´t find the line distribution really bad especially since it is one bside of a 6 song ep.
It's 2024 and K-POP stans still think every member "deserves" an equal amount of lines. The parts are called MAIN vocal and LEAD vocal for a reason. They sing well. If your rapper fave can't sing well, we're not about to tank a ballad just so you can feel good about her getting the same amount of lines as the main vocalists. This is why your bias who is shit at dancing is never going to be in the front or center of the choreo. K-POP is not about equality, it's about pushing the best members in their strongest roles. Not everyone getting every part equally.
I agree that thw vocalists need morw lines and that the rappers need a good amount too but they should try to make them equal maybe if the others members have for example 26.2 seconds the vocalist has 32.8
2ne1 is CL feat. Minzy and the girls or simply CL and the girls with Dara treated as a guest bg vocals who comes in just in time to add in the additional touch 😂
@@wonverse.AOA in general had an amazing vocal colour in Choa and a recognisable rapper in Jimin. Hyejeong and Yuna got to make guest appearances because they're still vocal line (Yuna even doing a lot of bg vocals for major girl groups to this day) but the other 3 were shafted, just there to look pretty, and since Seolhyun was the "prettiest" Chanmi and Mina didn't even get a real chance at that, even in sub-unit releases they didn't really get a highlight
But Seolhyun gets all the center time in post choruses of Elvis. So that kinda make up for her lack of solo line in Elvis. Over time, Seolhyun has gotten more & more lines.
I can understand having unfair line distributions in big groups because you only have around 3 minutes for so many members, and sometimes smaller groups do it on purpose like soyeon did in Moon. But how can you have 6 members and only give lines for 2 of them? Might as well release the songs as a subunit or a solo featuring
@@baekhonews411 I would agree, but the problem is that the 3 girls who don’t sing are still in the music video and the line distribution without them is super unfair anyways 😭😭
@@enderarttwinnot rlly they all already knew that dosie jieun and ireh werent going to sing besides it was a pre debut project so including them in the mv was fine as long as they got exposure all together
I know Hi High one because Haseul was the only one who recorded a whole demo so she got 0.8s in the actual song but as a person who have airy voice I understand why Hyunjin and Vivi got only 1s line it is hard to sing with airy voice while dancing with fast, jumpy, runny, and hoppy choreo like Hi High.
There are a lot of songs out there that aren't mistakes. Mainly Gidle's and Soyeon's songs, which make up most of the songs, she left herself without lines because she wanted to. About Sistar, I followed them from the beginning and it was my ultimate group, Bora only sang the Rapper line, it was always like that and at the time she and Hyolyn also said about it and that everything was fine.
5:49 Jisoo always has the Worst End in Blackpink Line Distribution, unless Solos count as Songs by the Group. If that's the Case, only Flower gave Jisoo enough lines to Justice.
a very weak but still somewhat defense of gidle's Moon - I think at least a third of Minnie's line are filler "dum dum daridari" lines, and also in the context of the group when Soyeon usually gets most of the lines it's less bad than some groups like Loona where the same members are always with the least lines
Y’all are idiots , soyeon on purpose sang the last line and last line only to show the message of hiding which was the sings purpose. They said it in a interview
Soyeon's lack of lines in Moon was actually to bring the message out more. Soyeon wrote the song about wanting to hide from public eye, because in front of people you need to put on a facade of happiness and cannot express your actual emotions. So Soyeon only comes in the outro and the lyrics on that part has been translated as "The moonlight is bright tonight I can't even cry"
Cupid’s line distribution is made on purpose: the group name is FIFTY FIFTY so the member gets 50/50 lines. Like in Tell me only two members sings, and in Hi High, only the other two members sing. Cupid was the Title track so they gave everyone lines but still with a lot of differences cause this is they’re concept. Btw remember to support FIFTY FIFTY in their lawsuit against ATTRAKT (their agency), they literally force a member who could have a c4nc3r to not do any surgery and just take a lot of medicines..
@@Levi_StyleAran could litterally be suffering from cancer if she stayed in that terrible company, there’s Doctor’s notes from the members showing proof. Saena had an ED because of the terrible diets attrakt but them on. You can see the amount of medicine Aran had to take in their Whats in my bag video. The only reason Keena joined attrakt again is because she was the only one not to make a statement of what attrakt did to her.
@@whatsyourname9581 i'm talking about idols who get no lines, and don't have the main or lead dancer position either, and aren't treated as main or lead dancers
I honestly don't mind when main singers and lead singers handle most of the vocals because that's their job. I expect that of them just like I expect main dancers to handle dance breaks, or for visuals to always be in the center. Having said that, I hate when even main/ lead vocalists get almost no lines, like Jeongyeon from Twice. Even Fei from miss A was their main vocalist, but she got so few lines that I honestly don't remember what her voice sounds like!
I can’t remember where exactly did I find this theory (maybe it’s reddit, not sure) but for IOI’s I love you, I remember you… many thinks that the drama’s director/producer only wants Chungha to sing for the song but unfortunately, due to Mnet’s complicated contract in terms of temporary group during the first season of Produce (and we can tell with members being taken out of the group by their agency to debut in their main group, as well as the group only lasting for about 10 months), IOI’s entertainment (or MNet) didn’t want to deal with the complications of that contract and how they are going to divide the profit which as a result, seems to be the reason as to why the active IOI members at that time were all included for that song. I think the OP of this theory stated that it seems a bit coincidental given that Chungha also sung on IU’s “Hotel De Luna” OST. Not really defending the producers of this song because it’s a bit unfair but just an interesting theory.
Finally a video that REALLY shows unfair line distribuitions. I hate when I click on videos like this and they show any Blackpink line distribuition, like please don't make me laugh
@@popsikern5848 Yeah but at least this one has a big gap, some videos put Ice cream's distribuition for example like it's the most unfair thing in the world
The reason why in MOON Soyeon sings lasts and haves the least amount of lines is because the song means about hiding themselves, so it looks like Soyeon was hiding herself the whole song and only came up at the end lol sorry if u don't understand i'm not that good at english
I can't agree on (i)dle here, Soyeon writes all of their songs and then they decide all together who sings what parts. It can't get fairer than this. Everglow on the other hand... ugh, sometimes I wonder why Yuehua didn't debut Mia as soloist.
Thing is, it's quite the opposite. They should've postponed their debut by a year and get Onda and Yiren better vocal training. These two only have sub vocalist skills in singing, so naturally Mia (their best vocalist) and Siyeon (who is a decent to good vocalist) get all the lines when the other two are limited to rap parts and Onda and Yiren are limited to adlibs and short lines. They simply cannot perform heavy title-track choreographies and sing a lot, they don't have the skillset. If they focused on them for another year, distributions likely would've been fairer from the start. Though I'm nobody who denies the Mia favoritism in that company.
Most of these seem to have parts where everyone sings together so even if someone doesn't have lots of solo lines, they at least sing. I remember T-ara's Cry Cry where Boram has no lines and at no point do all the members sing together or harmonize. During live performances she has a short solo dance break but she wasn't even the main dancer in the group so it's all too weird and disrespectful. I assume she had provide backing vocals during the recording but she was reduced to a glorified backup dancer for that song.
Keep in mind guys some people make mistakes, and not all line distributions are completely accurate, like when sakura sang it was counted for yunjin, and when shuhua sang it was counted for miyeon.
As much as I love Everglow, I hate how hard Mia is pushed... the other girls are also so talented! This was the only case of *Idol and friends* that actually seemed legit... their the reason I stopped watching line distribution videos.
to be fair, doing a song like hi high or 3, 4, with 12 members when most of the song is everyone singing, there's nearly no way for the line distrubution NOT to look like that.
I thi k the main purpose is to have a great song not a fair line distribution. Imagine giving half of the song to someone with a soulless and no technique voice, No one would listen to the song except the fandom
Like why is it always like that? I mean... In every group (or almost every group) there's someone who gets almost all the lines while other just gets 10 seconds... I just dont get it its ridiculous
And I'm not saying this for a group in particular... This happens at least once in all the groups, no matter if its a boygroup or a girlgroup, no matter if its old or new, big or small...

is anyone want to explain to me on how Rachel didnt get ANYTHING WORD from April song there? It felt like I'm watching Worth It line distribution to see Lauren didn't get anything same like but looking cute on the MV
Either position or just because her voice didn't go with the voice because she doesn't have this less of line
@@Wraphhapril story would have sounded much worse with a “fairer” line distribution
It’s like for Qri and boram in t-ara
Rachel couldn't even sing?
I’m pretty sure they alr recorded the song before rachel joined the group, but yena having 1 second is questionable
She did, they all sing in the chorus
@@TT-je5wu It makes sense because that song is REALLY hard her singing skill wasn't good enough for it.
@@TT-je5wu It's because the song is very vocal heavy and the group only has two members that can actually sing (I mean actual singers not idol singers)
april story is insaneeee how does rachel not even have a second to sing?
also chungha literally singing a whole 2 minutes of a 3-4 minute song???😊
Qri and Boram 😂
I don't know for sure though thats just my theory
its not the silence that is counted, the channel that made the line distribution has a way of doing it where, unlike most line distribution channels, they actually count the lines separated when a member has an adlib or another line on top of the one they are already singing (like jihyo singing her line while also doing adlibs in the background)
thats why there are two counters, the right one being the one with the extra lines that get added at the end of the line distribution
As a once of ~5 years I am so proud of the growth that TWICE and their productions has had in these last years, It feels like feedback from the fans have been put into consideration ^^
those are her adlibs, her adlibs overlapping her lines are counted seperately, so it's added in the end
It's not silence, it's overlapping harmonies
Everytime I watch a "Worst Line Distribution" video I just know Hi High and No Lie will be on there lol
MY GIRL HASEUL CARRIED THE WHOLE SONG WITH 0.7 💪💪💪💪💪
TRUTH ‼️
In fact, I find it very unfair that jeongyeon is given very few lines, since she is the second best vocalist of twice, and jyp does not take advantage of her talent, also with jisoo they give her very few lines and it seems very unfair to me
The first time I heard Cupid I was wondering if they legit just didn’t give Saena any lines 💀
She is the main dancer with a sub rapper position no wonder she doesn't have lines
She is a main dancer with a sub rapper position that's why
Wait... SM girl band?
2:23 monday is monday, jiyoon is tuesday, soeun is wednesday, zoa is thursday, soojin is friday, jaehee is saturday and jihan is sunday
I really felt that XD
2:30 this gives me a Fifth Harmony trauma. Lauren with Worth It, and Dinah Jane with BO$$ and Sledgehammer is waving lol
For me:
A title track should be well distributed between vocalists, but it's fine to main/lead vocalists to have more lines, rapper are exceptions, it depends on the song.
I agree that thw vocalists need morw lines and that the rappers need a good amount too but they should try to make them equal maybe if the others members have for example 26.2 seconds the vocalist has 32.8
Boram and Qri in Cry Cry be like: *breath*
Does Boram even have any line in Cry Cry? Those talking words in bridge/dance break belongs to hwayoung in studio...
Everglow
No Lie ❌
No Line ✅
Oh hell no, I’d fight with the songwriter on god 😭
after the bloom by gwsn is a perfect example, seoryoung got 96 seconds and miya got 5 😭😭
so happy vivi has lines in loosemble now
In Weki Meki"s "Tiki Taka" Lua only got about 1.5 seconds which was just "Tell me you love me"
everyone always forgets tiki taka by weki meki, one member literally gets 0.7 seconds of lines in that song💀
AOA’s debut Elvis also has Seolhyun with 0 😭 also 2NE1, WJSN and GWSN has some pretty bad line distributions too
aoa really confused me, how did seolhyun get a lot of time as a center but no lines?
@@wonverse. Because Elvis also has a band version with the same line distribution, and Seolhyun is not part of the band.
Hi high would’ve been the perfect debut if it weren’t for haseul, vivi and hyunjin having less than 5 seconds😨😨
Mia should become a soloist😂😂😂
Ok, but “can we talk again” by purple kiss was CRAZY
I saw a comment saying dosie, ireh & jieun didn't get any lines because they didn't participate in recording
it doesn't say officially but it's more of a sub-unit song.
@@baekhonews411 I would agree, but the problem is that the 3 girls who don’t sing are still in the music video and the line distribution without them is super unfair anyways 😭😭
@@enderarttwinnot rlly they all already knew that dosie jieun and ireh werent going to sing besides it was a pre debut project so including them in the mv was fine as long as they got exposure all together

well, say something twice with 3 secs of Momo's part😭 Well Haseul just debut for an Ottokae!
momo's lines in truth are 3 adlibs in the first verse, at least those 3 seconds in say something are of an actual line
6:55 im your girl im your b¡tch 💀
2:40 Rachel☠️
5:49 Jisoo always has the Worst End in Blackpink Line Distribution, unless Solos count as Songs by the Group. If that's the Case, only Flower gave Jisoo enough lines to Justice.
a very weak but still somewhat defense of gidle's Moon - I think at least a third of Minnie's line are filler "dum dum daridari" lines, and also in the context of the group when Soyeon usually gets most of the lines it's less bad than some groups like Loona where the same members are always with the least lines
also they tend to focus more on album line distribution vs individual songs, each member usually has a track where they really shine
Btw remember to support FIFTY FIFTY in their lawsuit against ATTRAKT (their agency), they literally force a member who could have a c4nc3r to not do any surgery and just take a lot of medicines..
imagine supporting betrayers
Girl you did not just say support Fifty Fifty agaisn't the POOR DUDE who lived in POVERTY TO MAKE THEM DEBUT, don't you even TRY

@@Levi_StyleAran could litterally be suffering from cancer if she stayed in that terrible company, there’s Doctor’s notes from the members showing proof. The only reason Keena joined attrakt again is because she was the only one not to make a statement of what attrakt did to her.
i don't understand this, what's the point of letting someone debut but not letting them do anything
Aprils April story is even crazier
they should have just made no lie a mia solo song atp
Gowon with the little "yeah" and going up one position at the end is sending me

Touchdown and I'm gonna be a star are sisters, only Chaeyoung got one real line. Both are iconic songs though
Imagine coming into the studio to record only 0.7 seconds of lines 😭😭
in defense of moon soyeon having no lines besides the last one is intentional for the message and concept of the song
The reason why in MOON Soyeon sings lasts and haves the least amount of lines is because the song means about hiding themselves, so it looks like Soyeon was hiding herself the whole song and only came up at the end
lol sorry if u don't understand i'm not that good at english
It's actually funny how people complained abt Soyeon getting so many lines and then Soyeon in Moon is basically hiding in the corner 😭
6:19 This is so sad
Keep in mind guys some people make mistakes, and not all line distributions are completely accurate, like when sakura sang it was counted for yunjin, and when shuhua sang it was counted for miyeon.
id understand if your group has 10+ members, but 50/50, gidle, april, n everglow wit 4-6…id have to leave the company the next day
Loona and iz*one's line distributions were always awful 😔😔😔 hyewon vivi & gowon 💔
T-ara, sistar and 2ne1 had the worst line distribution
Don’t forget 4Minute aka Hyuna “n” backup dancers
As much as I love Everglow, I hate how hard Mia is pushed... the other girls are also so talented! This was the only case of *Idol and friends* that actually seemed legit... their the reason I stopped watching line distribution videos.
but it’s not her fault
@Auraspirr Well, yeah, obviously it's not her fault. I never said it was.

Rachel’s voice was so beautiful in that song😍😍
in moon by gidle soyeon actually wasn't singing by all the song till the end cause she was hidin' from the moon (like as said on the lyrics
I would cry if my company would gives me only 1 line 😭😭
Ps : this is usually the reality:
If an idol got no lines or near to none - then they can't sing and are casted for visuals
shu hua and momo are always left in the dust
6:20 BRO WHAT THE HELLLLL
to be fair, doing a song like hi high or 3, 4, with 12 members when most of the song is everyone singing, there's nearly no way for the line distrubution NOT to look like that.
An honorable mention for Kitsch by IVE, Liz is a main vocalist and she has 1 part (6sec)
imagine going into the studio just to record one word :D
I thi k the main purpose is to have a great song not a fair line distribution. Imagine giving half of the song to someone with a soulless and no technique voice, No one would listen to the song except the fandom
