I feel bad for Young Posse. Those girls are talented as hell, but they got stuck with a name that's an obvious innuendo, and even if the members wrote their debut song, a responsible adult should have said that you don't just put that in front of an audience when you have young kids in the group. It's fine for teens to write lyrics like that themselves and share them with each other, but once you put something out into the world, you lose control over it. Hoping better for them in the future.
I get the criticism for the music video but just to let you know, posse means a group of friends lol. It's still used today and there's not really a double meaning to it

I'm old enough that it was still a trendy word back when I was young. 😹 But if you think their agency and the people marketing them don't know that *cough* certain demographics won't like the double entendre of the sound of it or that it would create noise marketing due to that as well, it's being very naive. Agencies know EXACTLY what they are doing with things like this and know it will go over the heads of a lot of young fans who won't understand what the big deal is too. If they named the group Young Crew or Girls Crew, for example, they wouldn't have gotten a fraction of the attention they did for their debut, even if that attention wasn't exactly positive for many people.
