    C5 z06 had red calipers and black brackets factory so that might be the original stuff. Great vid!

    Dude great video as usual! I would replace that brake fluid ASAP I mean if the rear brakes got hot enough to crack that that fluid is cooked

    I liked the red wheels, but I agree they needed some love. Also, I've used a lug nut to help hold the rotor in place while getting everything lined up, then once the caliper bracket and caliper are reinstalled I remove the lug nut and reinstall the wheel. Great video John! I'm really looking forward to seeing this thing on the track! Are you planning on racing a variety of courses or just drag?

    Just follow the brake company recommendations on rotor direction and grease points on the brake pads.

    Can you explain “bedding” or how you break in new rotors and pads. ? Awesome video as usual 👏🏻👏🏻

      So, typically, brake pad and rotor manufacturers have specific steps they recommend to properly "bed" the pads to the rotors. It's a fancy way to describe breaking in your new parts. This isn't exact, but it will have some instructions like several slow brakes to a full stop from 35mph, several more aggressive brakes from 45-55mph to a full stop, etc. This allows the pad and rotor to heat up and "seat" with one another to make sure they're functioning properly. Nicer brake companies like Baer, Wilwood, and even Power Stop all have "break-in" or "bedding" procedures that accompany the new parts. Hope that helps. 😎

    I have a question about the slot direction. I bought the Powerstop kit for my 300 and they say the slots go the opposite direction as yours does. I've seen others do the same. Why are the slots oriented differently from one application to another?

      it depends but ultimately the way the ones he bought are correct , you want the slot oriented to catch the air to cool effectively, if they were out on the other way it wouldn’t dissipate heat properly
