AMD paired with ARM when?
@@Stopinvadingmyhardwarethe answer is depending on how you look at it, already, AMD holds an ARM license and AMD has played with creating ARM processors in fact the security chip inside Ryzen Pros are ARM based chips
time masters. fuck yeah.
I see that you, like nearly all media companies, continue to pretend that Fair Use laws don't exist when it has anything to do with AI. Use a small piece someone else's work in photoshop as a component of your own original work? That's transformative and fair use! But use millions of random works from the internet, none of which actually are visible in the final AI output? Well that's suddenly copyright theft!
You and every other corporate media company need to quit bald faced lying about AI generation. It's no different than someone using photoshop, or you using some copyrighted image in your videos. You all understand Fair Use laws intimately as CZcamsrs, so you should and do know what you're doing when you spread this sort of misinformation.
â@@intel1lover facts. I know they have the lab to pay for, but the ads are starting to reach corporate shill levels of cringe. The amount of paid product placements on short circuit alone (like a Hot Wheels car? Really?) makes it seem like they're desperate for cash.
Nice to see ARM giving intel a helping _hand_

Assistant Regional Manager
pun intended
Whoa. Nice moves. Would you like a job?
â@@techlinked go on then why not
Really appreciated Camera Den Ladder 2's appearance in this episode, really saved the show imo.
definitely need more guest appearances from them. Heck, they should have TechLinked Stage C-Stand 5 on too!
This tech news was a stealth launch of the new line of "Gamer Ladders" from Secret Labs.
The LED light did a better job imo, 5:20
I really felt it should win best supporting actor.
the only reason I'm watching tbh
I assume that the ladder is to help take the tech news up a level?
This is my step-ladder... I never knew my real ladder.
@@MadafakinRio If they donât use this joke for an upcoming ladder appearance we should riot, because that was next-level! I even read it in Jamesâ voice.
more ladders next time???
I miss Community. Five seasons and a movie!!
@@welshalan *Six* seasons and a movie.
-Henry David Thoreau Diet Squirt
P.P.S.S. - The movie is in production. The original cast, excluding Yvette Nicole Brown and Chevy Chase, are signed on.
Camera Den Ladder 2 is the greatest co-host/heckler we've ever had on TL. Amazing work. Hope to see him again
Reasons I still love TechLinked: Quick delivery format, rough format (bloopers still kept in main roll) and the quips from the behind-camera crew. Love it!
Mad respect, MonitorIO. Great move.
This is how EOLs should be handled.
That is one way but I still think Linus and Luke's take of just open sourcing is better. I haven't played the game so I could be wrong but at the moment players would still be relying on their servers right?
Edit: I'm stupid I thought you were talking about the game, my bad. Yep that's how EOL should be handled
Open sourcing is the ideal option but the source often contains valuable IP that can be reused.
MonitorIO releasing an image which may be closed source the perfect reasonable option. This could also be done for game server images I think. It's not necessary to release the whole source to the community to keep games alive.
Camera Den Ladder 2 sure is getting some great screen time today, and I support it!
Man...the coconut story was something I thought I'd pushed out of my mind forever.
Too bad maggot
Lol yeah
The moral of the story is: sex toys are a thing, please use it.
It really is an iconic story. Something to be passed down through the generations.
Major shame that these new chips are going to cost an ARM and a leg
This joke is RISC-y but INTELligent
AN ARM AND A LEG!? - George Castanza
people like doing such puns 68000 times, I guess.
or you mean an ARM and a LAKE
@@Upload098765432 I am still computing the RISCs and rewards, I hope the engineers are INTELligent, or they may run out of INSTRUCTIONS due to them being REDUCED.
An x86, Arm and Risc-V chip would be really interesting after the first (guaranteed to be botched) attempt.
It might be pretty sweet even in its first gen. Most recent new CPU changes (Apple M1, Intel 12th gen, Ryzen 1st gen) have worked rather well from the get-go.
@@leonro yeah but to properly utilize this it's harder than just "efficiency vs performance cores", maybe a virtualization layer will be needed besides a scheduler.
what would be the point of such a chip? Something that can run any OS without an emulation mode I guess?
Hmmm the cross-instructionset hybrid SoCs vs RISC-V battles will be interesting.........
Why would you want two different RISC architectures? Why not just a CISC and a single RISC (x86 and RISC-V)?
For the airport charging thing, just be sure to use a USB cable that does not have I/O cables (white, green), basically just the power wires, as that only carry well, electricity, not data.
@@AndrewHelgeCoxI think they're normally called data blockers, but these are really great to carry, especially if you travel a lot or often find yourself using provided USB ports to charge from.

@@MinesweepActual stfu theyre condom dongles
great to see one company doing end of life the right way, now just need gaming companies to do the same.
This entire production house is damn amazing like one can't feel even tiny bit bored on TechLinked and ShortCircuit đ
If there aren't more ladders in the next installment, I might cry.
The âeverything appâ concept really shows how tech companies donât care anymore about offering something useful anymore, they just want you to use their app.
And they fact that they make such proposals is proof that they are not worth using in the first place.
Meanwhile, the humble web browser promised to do nothing besides look at websites and you can do most tasks on it
Love this set. Keep it please.
Looking forward to the quick bits done by CAMERA DEN LADDER 2. They were very charismatic and seemed to own the stage. Impressive.
What you can use those public charging ports for safely is charging your power banks. Those don't have any way to be infected with malware, so far as I know. You can then use the power bank to charge your possibly vulnerable device.
Also, some power banks have passthrough.
With a $2 USB condom dongle, you can plug anything into those ports and get power only from them.
@@AndrewHelgeCox Practice safe charging, kids
AMD should collaborate with another chip maker to make LEG.
They bought Xylinx
That ladder is getting leaned on more than my teammates in CoD...
really nice how skynet helped out on today's tech new being both the side-kick and the writer
Best supporting act goes to....
Camera Den Ladder 2 đđđđđ
It is nice to see seeing your ARM relaxed and resting.
This was a great TechLinked, thoroughly enjoyable
Love this!!!
I love this new ladder trick. It keeps me even more interested. I'm laser focused with this ladder in the scene.
This video resonated with my crystal so much its vibrating
Can we get an LTT vid on that usb charger hack? Really curious how that works.
Intel has an ARM architecture license from its purchase of StrongARM from DEC and subsequent development of Xscale. Although they sold Xscale to Marvell, they still have DEC's original license to develop the architecture. I.e. Intel have a preferential position in the ARM market that has just been mostly dormant for about the last decade and a half.
Couldn't that public usb charging risk also be averted by making sure you have a power-only cable for those situations?
yes. there are even adapters to use a normal cable as charging only.
Data lines are needed for standards like quickcharge and USBPD. Regular 5w charging is soooo slow.
@@npgoalkeeper I tend to just charge overnight and when I'm not using my phone. Works great.
@@npgoalkeeper well then we need a mitm usb pd controller in the cable that talks to the device and the charger seperately.
Wireless chargers also. Lower charge rates being wireless, and only few have gone beyond the 10W
The Camera Den Ladder 2 did a great job in this video, they should get a raise!

I love the new set! : )
really like this set up
Camera Den Ladder 2 is best cohost TechLinked has ever had!
We love you James
Intel having the infrastructure and experience of fabbing arm chips will inevitably lead to some cool stuff down the road. Just from proximity alone.
Camera Den Ladder 2 is a great co-host! One could even argue that it's charisma makes it the main host :P
A ladder? A James? A James on a ladder in a TechLinked show?!?! This must be heaven! đ€
great new format
The Camera Den Ladder is the real star of the show!
The app that does everything would need some kind of modular approach, where other developers can then build on to provide "everything". You could have a central place to selectively enable the features you need. You could even require payment to enable some of these applications.
Something like an application store. And the underlying system which operates everything could use a nice term too.
Chairific episode!
Nice
Respect to the ladder of truth.
I'm listening to you
Tech Jesus went into detail on this. I agreed that this was released in order to get people to buy something. A $500 card beats spending $1,100 on a card.
The ladder made the whole video look like a PSA like ânow you knowâ from NBC.
TECCCCHHHH NEWWWWWS!!!!
Ladder add some dynamics to tech linked :D
Thats a cool ladder
They used to tell you to buy a charge only cable that did not have data lines to use outside.

Would it be better to use "only charge" cables?
Most relaxed tech news.
So LinkedInâs verification will be done by Clear? I wonder if there might be any tie in opportunities for airport security. Some larger airports have dedicated Clear lanes

Would infected charging ports still infect your device if you were to get a bad old cable that are charging only?
the sponsor was perfectly timed
Big Blue long ago built huge AIX mainframes. If Blue wanted to run x86 or Sparc code, they would slap in a daughter processor. Now itâs on a single chip out of the box
Don't you just LOVE James? đâ€ïž
I always advise my friend and family to get a small capacity battery charger to charge at the airport or anywhere that provides free charging like what could they possibly do to infect a battery charger ?
Ah Yes my favorite cohost, Ladder-kun
