    This is exactly why people cringe when it comes to buying vehicles, and why good sales people (low pressure, diligent, knowledgeable about the brand) do well. @bcisn Před 11 měsíci +51

      @@556Keem I would walk out on both of them. Traditional sales tactics may work on a less sophisticated buyer, but for premium vehicle sales (let’s just say that means $60k and up) the client mostly just wants information when they ask for it, honesty, transparency, and no haggling. Sophisticated buyers know how to do research, they know what they want to pay, they know what they need for their trade, and they know how to get deals done. It’s not about the monthly payment, it’s about smart money and the economics of the deal.

    For disposable sales this might be ok. Try selling in an industry based on repeat business. Cornering a client with unobjectionable logic, improvised lies about your product's value, and airtight responses to every question leaves the client feeling like they don't have a choice. When it comes time for another purchase, they'll avoid you like the plague (if they're smart).

      They won’t purchase period. These sales guys need to understand what’s most important to the consumer, what their goals are, why did they walk into Chevy in the first place? Previous owner? Loyalty to the brand? If they are simply making a decision based on cost then it’s a pissing contest to the bottom. Most people don’t make big purchases simply based on cost alone, identify what factors are important to them when making a decision and it becomes a fluid sale

    Seeing people taking sales seriously is so refreshing ive worked in pest control for about 5 years and when it came to demos people always just fucked around and didnt take it serious thus taking away valuable time that couldve been spent learning from a scenario that could potentially be a reality one day. Now ive always been intimidated by sales and have doubted myself when it came to people and talking numbers only because im not even comfortable with my financial situation so i dont feel like its my place to even talk sales with anyone. But after watching these videos i feel motivated and want to give it my all and commit to something that i can see myself doing long term in the near future, ive seen the signs and now videos are popping up regarding to the signs ive been seeing so if im not mistaken destiny is calling.

    The problem with car sales is dealerships try and make the math a shell game. Professional sales is much different. Selling a car should not be bait and switch. It’s a simple transaction. People walk in trying to buy a car. The car salesman that is upfront and honest is always going to prevail.

    • @justinaltom86
      @justinaltom86 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Unfortunately, I would have to disagree, at least when it comes to car sales. I've tried two different times to sell cars and both dealers told me i wasn't cut for it because my strategy was to be honest and transparent. I would likely sell a lot of cars but wouldn't make them the most money possible. Which implies dishonesty on their part.
      I will never finance a car again. I will go in with cash, tell them what I'm willing to pay and if we can't get close, I'll walk.

    Andy's approach was spot on. Most people need guidance when making big purchases, and when someone speaks well, carries themselves well, and can guide you away from an inferior product to a quality product which will save them money and headaches in the long term, they will be successful and help the customer. Its important to pick the right company to start with. And most people arent confrontational. Im an RN with a decade of experience in multiple different specialities and i work with mostly women and they arent confrontational for the most part. Thats half the population right there, and a decent percentage of men arent confrontational either, so if you can hold yourself well and speak with confidence, look out for their interests and take the lead, in most cases youll be successful. Just show competence. People can smell low confidence/inexperience like stink on shit. So you have to be proactive with practicing your trade. When i work with patients i deliver quality care with confidence, even in the cases of apprehensive/argumentative patients. Their IV is in on the first stick in most cases and all interventions are carried out swiftly and correctly with confidence, kindness, some appropriately placed jokes and a smile.

    He's basically selling value. Prospects get hung up on price, and some salespeople erroneously play that game. If you've qualified your prospect, you can actually use what they've told you to support your value proposition. Andy used depreciation, you can also use service if you have a better made vehicle.

    This is why Car Salesman get such a bad reputation. A smart customer would counter with two things.
    1) pull up Kelly Blue Book to see that in fact they depreciate at the same rate and it even seems like the Chevy retains value over the Dodge. So not only are they paying 3k more, but they can clearly see that either their salesman blatantly lied or just made something up to get them to buy.
    2) the customer would ask for a written guarantee that upon trade in the dealership would match the trade in value of the Chevy and add $3k to the final trade-in price.
    This is smoke and mirrors sales. Write a lot of stuff really quickly, try to back your client into a corner, and stick a pen in their face while asking for their credit card.

    • @EliteOnTheBeat
      @EliteOnTheBeat Před 11 měsíci +1

      Very well said and i completely agree. I could've closed this sell without using this technique or using a chart and the best part is i would've made the client think it was their idea.
      I would've told them why did you come back if the dodge was cheaper? Go buy the dodge then. 😉Then they would've started chasing me in a corner. Closing would've been all down hill from there. 🤷‍♂ Then i would've made sure their APR financing charge was lower than dodge by $5K And/Or there monthly payments were significantly lower. Lets see what kind of deal we can workout for you today John Doe since you came back to the chevy dealership you evidently seen we provide more value for our customers than dodge does. Now then IF we can't get you lower price or payments due to your credit or financing company will provide 5 years of oil changes until you're ready to trade in, at which time will buy the car back with a "written guarantee" on the buy back price. EASY sell.

Gave him a task he knew he would fail because he had no way of nailing and then did his overly rehearsed pitch to embarrass him and make all the other salesmen think "This dude is genius." He's just doing what every other salesman has been doing for centuries. Also the "you're a smart guy, right Jessie?" and "Am I right or am I right?" are obvious tactics. If a salesman talks like that I'm always like "This dude is full of shit. Sales are about subtly as well as confidence. You don't want them to think you are selling to them.
