#millennia - Hry
Dear Romaboos, make sure to get Millennia so that we can all restore the glory of rome millennia.paradoxinteractive.com/LudiEtHistoria TOGETHER :X
Hi.
Why is your latest video privat?
Not sure about the name Ludi Cums, unless it's a subtle promotion for a different platform.
I don't know why Paradox does this, but this launch is just like Vic3, every "content creator" and their mom is singing Paradox Praises, whilst the actual non paid reviews are clearly showing that this game is poo poo bad in the current state. Kinda cringe you are participating in this debacle good sir.
So glad you gave us Civ 3 gameplay this video!
paradox execs be like: "But have you seen how many DLC you can sell with a 4x game though?"
slaps physical game copy this baby can fit so many dlc's inside of it
in all honest i prefer that way over what Activision does with coming out with the same game every year full of microtransaction
Using Activision as an example to justify Paradox's practices say a lot of you as a person. @@aoki6332
@@aoki6332 I’m tired of it at this point. I’m not sure how it’ll work with this game, but most other paradox games just feel peicemealed and empty at release. And they only are really good after you drop a bunch of money on their dlcs a couple years after their release.
@@CrimsonSp33d I believe that may have been sarcasm. I am autistic, I have a hard time telling sarcasm, but... ya.. that sounds like what I believe sarcasm sounds like.
why! why?! all of the developers now are making game with a visual style like its a mobile game??
Hopefully they're going to brush it up a lot down the road
This comment section more brutal than Gandhi with MIRVs
It looks like a mobile game with great potential!
Can't wait for all the amazing DLC's on their way!
lol that was exactly my comment.
Could be great as a mobile game but I don't expect more
So this is project Cesar wow that came out fast 😂
No, project Caesar is EU5
@@repippeas Let me tell you about this cool concept called "jokes"
@@Syngrafer cant ever underestimate intelligence these days
Don't underestimate average intelligence of people on the Internet@@Syngrafer
@@repippeasyeah, you really demonstrated a live example huh?
That combat screen, not
Yeah, I cringed at that. And my cringe line is pretty high
This game might have been ok in 2002. Paradox are having a laugh here with those battle scenes. Bring on EU5 and a bonus dev diary for EU4 with a bit of Prussia.
I am really looking forward to see the part 2
I've watched a few videos on this game but all I see is Civ for iPad...
Lol.
Am i the only one that thinks this looks like a mobile game?
An old mobile game at that.
Great video! Love you Ludi! :D
If he puts his head in the perfect spot it would Age of Ludi
Paradox should make it a priority to enhance the combat screen as soon as possible. They have a unique chance to showcase this type of combat screen, but it needs to be more akin to, say, Hearthstone, with its dazzling effects, attacks, and tactics, or perhaps like Darkest Dungeon. I haven't purchased the game yet, but I'm likely to because it has so many interesting, innovative, and simply fantastic elements. I'm not opposed to numerous DLCs as long as they are worthwhile, and I would appreciate the option to play more than a predetermined number of turns per game. While I understand that opinions vary and there are different stories about this, considering that a key catchphrase for Civilization, for example, is "just one more turn," Paradox should take note of what works in other Civilization games and also bring innovation.
I really like that bonuses are not tied to the nation, because that way you can play what you want with the bonuses you want.
What I'd want from those kind of 4x strategies is that everyone starts the same, but as the research progresses, your civilization changes to Roman, Egyptian, etc. Kinda like building a Wonder but with many researches requiring to progress. Would be cool if surrounding areas also affected this. Just saying.
That's what I enjoy about humankind. Is that I can change cultures as I progress through the ages.
Humankind kinda did that. But it had a slew of issues, I haven’t checked it out since I played at release.
@@CrimsonSp33d they actually did lots of good things with Humankind. It's definitely not perfect but definitely a good Civ alternative
@@VertFirstQuestion yea I need to check it out again, it’s prolly an entirely different game at this point.
@@CrimsonSp33d i've actually seen people complain there are too many mechanics in the game so... yeah.. lol...
People paying too much attention to the graphics and not enough to the mechanics. The different levels of integration for different cities + outposts, the divergence of ages, not to mention the army building (different types of units combining to create single tile armies). There are a lot of tweaks to the civ formula that look really promising and have a lot of potential to introduce several new factors to consider every play through.
The game should be beautiful as well and not a lower quality copy paste of the worst and most ugly Civilization game. This is hard to look at and you're gonna look at it for many hours if you want to play this. Compare with EU4.
I am excited and also have a lot of concerns. Everyone showing the game is "working with Paradox" So they have to be nice. Some of my biggest concerns are, the game feels like it rushes you through. I don't want to have aircraft by turn 240ish, that is WAY too quick, are there slower settings? Also, I'm seeing the things I hated about the old Civs - Tanks fighting pikemen, tanks in that army also having middle ages cannons and horses with them, etc. Times goes by WAY too quick, and the gaps between tech are too big. Like for example, you should NEED to have modern gun tech to make a tank or aircraft... a plane wouldn't be able to function without modern machine techniques, and be no threat if its armament was single shot muskets.
I like some of the ideas behind Millennia, but if we are back to an seeing armies of tanks fighting crossbowmen because the AI skipped the gun tech to go for like, electricity, I'm out, at least until mods fix it. I hated that crap 20 years ago, and I still do. Civ 5/Humankind kind of fixed that crap, I really don't want to go back to it. Were all the people showing off the game playing on easy/fast pace just to easily rush through the game or what?
pretty legit concerns, but you have to consider what how awesome have been like if a mad emperor took leonardo da vincis tank designs too seriously. An ancient greek invented a simple steam engine, maybe in an alternate reality, tank design goes back thousands of years, it just starts out based in wood and steam.
You can have aircraft in Civ 5 by turn 200 fairly easily on normal speed
You had the marathon speed settings, and i don't remember now but for CIV VI there's a mod that allows for marathon tech development with normal production speeds, so you dont' take 500 years to train a spearman.
@@Bifariam Yeah, Humankind has the same mod and I use it. Science is even slower than epic speed 3X up from 2X but build speed and everything else is normal speed. Makes things much better.
It's hard to find unsponsored videos because the game is bad and nobody is interested in it. The ones that I found that are not shills are negative on this game.
battle of lepanto goes so hard in the background while expaning rome
My understanding is that Raiders still haven't been rebalanced from the demo, where it was pretty trivial to be able to kill 2 cultures minimum on a reasonable start with the power of their units. Worth looking at, but needs a few balance passes first.
Me: Johann can you buy me the latest civilization game?
Johann: BuT wE hAvE tHe LaTeSt CiViLiZaTiOn GaMe aT hOmE
Civilization game at home
I only have one question before pulling the trigger, is 60 bucks a good price for the game, 2 unreleased DLC and the OST?
@@IKerenskyThe game isn't that bad, is it?
But yeah, asking for 60€ for the OST and two unreleased DLCs in addition to the base game do seem overpriced for what was shown so far.
However, let's judge the game after it gets officially released, for all we know it's going to be a 10 year long adventure like for EU4.
What do you even know about the Civ games, your contract with paradox pretty much keeps you fully occupied only playing their games 😂😂
maybe in his spare time
Just get civ 5/6 when it's on sale boys
Millennia is a better game.
@@ChrissieBear I've played both. Maybe in a few years this game could catch up, but at the moment it's not that close. I say that as a person who has like 10k hours in paradox games. What do you like more about this game? Honest question.
i got the Civ 5 complete edition for 1$ on Fanatical mystery bundle
@@Jaroartx solid deal!
Civ 5 > C&B torture > Civ 6
I really like the mechaniks and the idea for the different paths for ages. But I really really hate those graphics. Anyway I must confess that I'm gonna play and enjoy it.
10:54 to be fair that sounds like the historical rome experience x)
Oh look Ludi made another 30 minute commercial
are you going to do a full playthrough?
Make part 2 of this video
I don't see enough to differentiate it from Civilization.
except it has completely different mechanics
Worse graphics?
Love the content. Bought the game while watching the video
People were wondering what Paradox's take on a 4X game would be? Does Stellaris not exist or something?
Wtf u smoking my dude? Stellaris is not a 4x game at all.
Stellaris is a 4X game, just not turn-based one like Civ or Gal Civ, I guess that's what people mean, but word it badly.
Cant wait to buy all the dlc!!!!
Not an original thing.
wow. Ya know that everything is derivative, right?
What's the next thing, that the WTO actually helps achieve an equal and fair global trade or the US isn't currently participating in genocide?
Three minutes in and I immediately thought of the game Civilization.
;-)
Why add turn based battle animations if you cant do anything with them?
do not pre order guys
Great content per usual
I'll buy it once it is out and would like to get it via your link. If I go to your link, THEN press the steam button to open steam page, do you still get the cred? If not, any way to get a steam link or something?
You should be able to get it with the link from here and then redirect to steam i believe. I really appreciate you using my link bro!
@@LudietHistoria Great! Big fan of CIV and PDX games so it looks like the perfect combo to me ! Love your channel man keep it up!

Just got it thru the link, and the PDX website didn't give a steam key yet. I'm assuming I have to wait for launch, but otherwise I'm gonna be a sad boy
the battle animations straight out of a 2000's flash game got me rolling this game looks like ass 😂😂

bruh it looks like forge of empires
Civ Seven looking good
That's just a lot like.... Civ 5. Well, like Civ 6, I guess, but I only played that version of Civilization for about a week or so.
I love it but why are none of the regular pdx CZcamsrs doing series yet? Are you not allowed
So is there no earth with true /historical start location?
Nope

hm... is this civ3?
Litreally played civ3 todaay lol, great game
No, it's the Civ6 we have at home.
why does it look like a mobile game?
This looks pretty good, wish it had come out yesterday. I don't know why game companies release shit middle of the week, do they not understand that most people work during the week? It seems like Friday would be the logical release day.
They don't want to go to work during the weekend, if there is some fuckup at the release day.
Seems like a pretty reasonable thing so you can look at a lot of reviews before playing it.
5:00 Nice person for farming. Sadly, most of the big nations comes from army.
Civ V is peak
I am not sure why this is better than CIV V yet, but having the FREE CITY OF CUENCA certainly made it for me, must buy now.
Yes you normaly play as Brandenburg/Prussia :)
LUDI LOVE THE CONTENT 🙌🙌
All the DLC memes paradox interactive did not develop this game 😅
I am looking forward to the next video
Is it? How big is the map Ludi? Seems lime you are playing in a bathtub. In civ iii I could have 200 cities. How does Milennia stack up to that?
is this game going to follow paradox tradition ?
(buy it and wait for at least 4-6 month before be able to play it)
More like 4 to 6 years
Unless they decide that it isn't profitable and abandon it before that.
ok paradox in 4x, looks okay but also looks a lot like the other 4x game humankind (sure both 4x), so what makes millenia different and better ?
Ludi cool as always, game could be better, but still waiting for new vic/hoi/stell grand strat with modern-futuristic lore
I am a simple guy, I see a Ludi video, I click 😊
Good collab for you ludi, but this game is gonna fall through the cracks faster than humankind
Is this a mobile game? I can't tell by looking
Paradox's DLC policy means I rather skip this gem than pay through thousand cuts for DLCs.
I feel too old for a new 4x game. I will stick to civ 5 if i want to play for one more turn at all. 😊
4x Paradox game.. cannot think of anything... stellaris
That's a Grand Strategy game in space. It doesn't play like a 4x. Galactic Civilizations or Endless Space are 4x games.
Why the funk Rome starts in Singidunum (modern day Belgrade)?
The seed he set at the beginning randomly generates the world and takes a name off of a list, tho it would make more sense for it to just be Rome
Looks like a civ game
How can Something like the "Battle Screen" path the Quality Control?
Paradox please remove it, that Thing just drags down the hole Game.
And as Someone who play Civ and PDX Games i dont want These Battle Animations.
It would be just annoying for Me constantly switching Views during a War.
once more ludi has shown his hate towards Persians alongside Sweden 😂❤
The PDX people shouldn't find out ludi hates Sweden or else he'll get assassinated by the PDXIA (Paradox Intelligence Agency)
1:52 That is proper name of Balgrade. Ludi learn history :D
Ludicums... Hmmmmm
PDX games are better bought when they’re 50% off: by that time they’ve fixed bugs and you get it at proper price considering you eventually need to get ton of DLCs. So, lets check back in 2 years.
Great video! Love it!
I like this strategy game exploration. This idea is so great. We can find happiness in new games.
when you order civilization from Wish...
Can I delete the fight screen? It looks like sh*t
Great video by the way but it is a Paradox game therefore the real release date in 2026/03/27.
true xD
more of this please
Come on Ludi. OPB played on the highest difficulty, you didn't even pick second toughest 😂
Opb is clearly better than me then at this game xD I was on adept which is like normal and struggling lol
@@LudietHistoria lol no he lost 🤣
I just like watching when you can lose. And playing too btw, I'm one if those that likes to lose (and has setbacks) sometimes. Thing we unfortunately don't have enough in grand strategy games. Hopefully the next generation.
Anyway I will watch you video too btw. Was just seeing if out of the creators I followed more had it at higher difficulty.
I understand you need money but atleast pick something that is worth recommending 😂
No more pre orders after vic 3 and imperator. They have betrayed our trust way too many times. I don't know about you guys, but i'm starting to get tired of their DLC fest too.
Cant wait for my bank account to be drained from more dlc XD
Ios and Android?
I'm pretty sure it's going to be a pc only game for a number of different reasons one of those reasons being the system strain, I've watched another CZcamsr play until the eco age (one of the 3 ages after the space age) and his game was not running that smoothly even though he does have a decent/good build (according to him) . If your phone were to try and run the game you'd be lucky to even see the starting screen before your phone bursts into flames and your battery explodes
@@ilgwang-gidae he was insulting it
Why does the UI look so jumbled and with huge dead space. Why cant paradox make a nice sleek UI like they did back in the day instead of this oversized crap. It looks like a mobile game.
Becuase Paradox didn’t develop this you doofus.
C Prompt Games did, and they are COOKING 🔥 🔥 🔥
Its not made by paradox. They are just the company they helped release the game
Looks good, will be an interesting try
While I really do hope that this game is amazing, I'll never pre-order anything. On top of that, the main reason I wanted to play it is because of multiplayer and asides from hot-seat, there is no other multiplayer option at launch - the steam store page is misleading in that regard. So, no, 40 bucks feels like a ripoff at that point.
Are you deleting comments???????
Paradox 4x game? Have you hear of EU4? :D 4X is Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate...
EU4 leans much more into grand strategy than 4X because you aren't necessarily exploring without explo ideas, and the main method of expansion is conquest, so you aren't building a nation from the ground up necessarily but playing them within pre-determined historical factors and making strategic decisions from there. If exploit and exterminate means click dev and click culture then sure I guess
Civ low cost😅 that's all i think
LUDI(CUMS)
Why do you make me want to buy this game?
Diplomacy play was never worked in this game, there is a great lack of character
Ive been following this games development since the beginning. It has so many good ideas it brings tı the table BUT my god it looks so bad. Legit looks like a mobile game. Was hoping that would be fixed before release but doesn't seem like possible at this point.
I dislike the ui, same as farthest frontier i dislikes them ui
$40 for this? hard pass....
I tried the demo, its really fun
I get its your pay heck, so no biggie, vut this game looks like bsht
map graphics look worse than civ 4 and thats an oooold game
i mean, i am hyped but i haven't wanted to get spoilers/jumping in too soon so i just see the titles
how did it went from WORST CIV GAME EVER to BEST CIV GAME EVER in like a few weeks? XD
Honestly, if the the game is ONLY being insulted for its graphics then this is a good fucking game.
Paradox is just the publisher of this.

Actually looks better in so many ways
You've clearly haven't played it, literally basing off your opinion on the graphics and not the gameplay lmao...
ive seen him play it. usually that tells a lot about a game. I am addicted to other paradox games like HOI and now victoria 3. vicky 3 especially because of how i loved its graphics. as i learned i loved the gameplay too but graphics is important to me and its naive to think its not important to others. I may like a game and accept its criticism, no game is perfect. so be willing to accept the game you like being critized. we are live people with our own expectations and likes just like you. dismissing us is just ..weak.
i will still like millenia i know, but i would like it even more if its graphics were like vicky 3. its important for the game to feel alive graphically wise. this looks like counter strike 1.6, pixels and polygons. that doesnt mean i will not enjoy the gameplay. just not to its fullest.
obviously paradox CAN make beautifully looking games. thats why this seemed like mobile game@@luzekiel9343
