Heck yea brother! You gonna do a series and conquer the whole map?
Should definitely do a let's play series.
i life in Ludiberg it´s a small but rich german City with a lot of history. Founded in 882 we invented Schnaps, Schnitzel and Stackenweipen.
This game is *AWESOME!* The details in graphics, the systems of commerce and everything else has such good groundworks. I can't wait for all the features to be added to the game and for them to be properly adjusted (like prices when trading).
Couldn't agree more!
you will only see exploits being taken down the balancing for the most part is done
For anyone interested: "Morgen" is a german unit of measurement for farming. One Morgen equals the size of land one that could be plowed in one morning (morning is Morgen in german). Therefore the actual sizes varied quite massively. Today on Morgen is defined as a quarter hectar, back in medieval times it ranged from just shy of 2.000 squaremeters to 12.000 squaremeters.
just don't ask them about the 'heil'
I’m glad you are doing different games the road to 200k subscribers needs continuous attempts to find the next big thing. You can do it!
That's the plan!
My professor said it in my marketing class anyway
A mix of Lords of the Realm, Stronghold and Banished. Love it
and the ANNO series
And total war
Ostriv with combat, win win.
@@masteriw No Total War, why do you say that?
"Right next to the well, where the tannery should be" man tanneries literally use piss to cure the leather. Probably the worst place to put it.
hear me out: piss wells. Yellow like fanta but the taste a bit off.
@@LudietHistoria Make it number two and we are going for a London vibe!
From what gathered from other youtubers is that end of the month is an early access release for everyone and not full release.
Correct, it’s going EA (it has not been said for how long yet). One issue some people have raised is the speed of development. With just one person working on the game it might be 4-6 months between updates. Personally, not an issue since what he had done is amazing. I hope, people don’t go all toxic/harrying the guy to rush updates/patches.
Bannerlord was 4 years in early acces
I literally first found out about this game 2 hours ago (hour before release of this video). This guide is completely unexpected but more so desired! It seems like so much fun
another city builder that would be awesome to see ludi playing is frostpunk, this one or the second one when it releases in the summer
ngl a cool mechanic could be to have preset "tradiitions" that boost efficiency in certain types of activites (like for example starting off with hunting tradition means you'll have an easier time hunting but take a longer time to farm or something)
I thought policies do that? Ludi took 50% faster breeding over smaller yields of crops or something like that.
From what I saw in other videos, you'll eventually be able to specialise, when settling new regions. It seemed it was not available in the early access though
@Ludi, did you know that "Lude" is a German word, that is rarely in use this days? It means pimp.
damn it, now everyone knows what I do for a living
@@LudietHistoria waddup, pimp?
I thought it’s just Latin for “games and history”
thanks Ludi keep the Manor Lords content going, pretty excited ngl
Ludi! Thaks for the Manor Lords vid. I'm hoping that this game has the legs to be on your channel frequently!
19:26 Monks even make beer in Belgium, so that tavern placement is top notch !
Great video as always!!
You're the best!
This game looks lovely, i hope you can make more videos on this ludi
Go for series Ludi! I wanna see more of that game
Im happy to have gotten early access to this. This has been worth all the years of waiting to play.
I've watched lots of other videos for this game and you have given the best overview of the UI and how things are put together to navigate the game. Thanks!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching
Looking forward to this!
Thank you very much for such a descriptive walkthrough on starting. Much appreciated, looking forward in more videos Edit: By the way, the town is looking badass, Wally Cleaver style. Really dig that house in the "Triangle" Looks great!
This is one of the only games I've ever followed for years of development. I follow the developer on Twitter/X, and he's been great with updates and info on there, as well as responding directly to comments. Definitely going to buy this and give it a shot.
yess, I was waiting for a guide from someone, let alone be it my favorite eu4 youtuber lol
Dude, I've been waiting for this game so long I forgot it existed. I love it! Hype!
Btw, online would be so cool for this.
looking forward to this one
Yes Ludi I would like to see how to do battles in this game, I heard logistics are important.
Very cool video Mylord
Been waiting on this game for like 4 years lol, played the demo and am excited for release
the eu4 music really mixxes well with this game
I would love to watch more Manor Lords content
13.00 if they allow us to do some work or at least ability to fight I going to buy this game even I only see it for 13 minutes total yet, It would be one of my dream games as a mount & blade gamer who likes strategy games.
Hey Ludi, can you do a guide for Millenia?.
As you pointed out the game may look like Civ 6 but it has different mechanics.
Just bought the game yesterday, and all of a sudden it was 3am. Look forward to some Manor Lords content.
Wow, the game looks promising !!! Nice graphisme, smooth gameplay, nice music.... i just found the map very small 😅
there will probably be mods for larger maps
19:13 Nothing says holy quite like Jesus turning water into wine so that everyone could party hard. The monks were just trying to follow an example. 🤣
27:00 The reason you don't get any more meat is because of the hunting limit in your hunting camps.
Which is there so you don't hunt the deer to extinction. That second hunting lodge did nothing sadly.
Really hope they update the game to a point where we can at least visit the main building interior areas from the first person perspective like for example the hall
One of your Manor servants had a very interesting name. (36:23)
The game is super beautiful
Nice Vicky3 music!
This game is going to be amazing. I just love the developer
MOREEEEEEEEEE!
8:24 construction material, simple enough
do you have to micro manage the pop all the time, is there no automation or just self assignment where needed? if not seems like it might become to much once you get bigger
Always dreamt of a game that merged the best of Age of Empires and Settlers. This might be that game!? Imagine running a top down battle, seeing enemy reinforcements and jumping in to the 3rd person view as your Lord and joining the fray, rallying your troops and turning the tide! Am I being to hopeful? Seems quite bare bones here.
I feel like I have played a half dozen games exactly like this. Other games like this: Banish, Land of the Vikings, Anno, Kingdoms and Castles, Factory Town. I really like the concept but once you have played one, you have played them all. None seem to really add anything innovative, or new. I really want a game like this that blows me away. Anno 1800 is probably best in this category. Honestly, this one doesn't look that great yet, but if the building and combat are meaningful it could set itself apart.
I played the demo when it was out for the public, but after playing Foundation I can see this is a less artistic approach to those mechanics. i definitely prefer the more realistic graphics so I cannot wait until this comes out in early access :)
The trappist Belgian beer is still famously produced by monks.
After Bannerlords the next hit classic Manorlords
Maybe
It would be nice if raiders were tied to how much fight is going on. War is the time when stealing stuff becomes an enticing option.
I subscribed
We need Ludi to play Culture Northland so he get a deep look in the city sims, the settler games + Anno 1404 and Culture started it before AoE branched it of into the RTS genre. I think the newer titel in this genre lack the the something that made the genre stand out. Well back to the game, I think it fixes some issues Farthes Fronties has but overall it's just another one with a little bit of a new touch but nothing we already seen with other games in this genre.
You know a game is good when it has desire paths
The game is not out yet and I’m already addicted to it when is the damn release date
Ludi, better hop on stream today and play some manorlords. It’s been a while.
i will
Does the game have the same awesome audiotrack as EU4, or did you overlay it?
Some of the mechanics remind me very much of the Settlers series. 😅 Oh man, I'm old.
Tasty! It looks like Ostriv on steroids.
34:01 how is no one else triggered by the upside down map
Cant wait until it comes out on gamepass
Ludi I love you
Good boy. I was about to ask
Church next to tavern?
*Irish heavy breathing*
Wait, is it actually made by one person?? This looks insane
no, it's not. There's an entire dev team bro
@@LudietHistoria oh, ok
@@_Sh1ne_it is one person
There's one person and a number of outsourcers, as apparently outsourcers aren't persons in this day and age (so like slaves).
Oh shit, its finally getting released!?
This reminds me of age of empires 4
Can't you create your own soldiers with selected weapons and armor as they announced earlier?
500 likes in two hours, oh we getting a let’s play.
What platform will this be available on?
Ludiberg Ludenberg, i don't see the difference
This is just Timberborn with humans (not a complaint)
It reminds me of Settlers series with better mechanics. lovely.
Disagree that in a game who's big selling point is the total war combat that most players are going to start in the game mode with barely any combat.
I highly recommend they do though, the main focus of this game IS NOT combat. I noticed that a lot of other creators sell the game with that but honestly it's mostly a city building/management game, combat plays very little part in it and is extremely punishing. Having 1 battle kills half your pop and you need to wait for literal hours to get your pop back up to fight another battle.
Not gonna lie pretty disappointed with other creators that said its total war killer and so on. I watched almost all vids that came out for this and realized fast it's not a combat focused game.
That's not the focus at all, warfare in this game is just an addition meant to improve on the feeling that you are building an authentic medieval town and having to navigate through the petty politics of the land with force at times/defend your town
@@hessenweiss1428 I think the real total war killer is just the 20 already existing playable total war games and their mods. Not many total war players want a new total war game with a new coat of paint. They want games like this that take those battles and plug them into new genres. Yes this can be a city builder first but I do think most players will be wanting to have a battle or two every play session.
This game is very similar to farthest frontier, are they made by the same people?
Well I’m from Ludidorf but we never were your favorite City „cries in disappointing German kid“
How many developement points can you unlock?
What kind of Bradenburg is this?
Whats the difference between this game and ANNO 1800 besides the setting being in medieval times and instead of sea battles you have land battles?
no clue, never played anno 1800
What's the difference between ck3 and eu4?
@@ap6480 Ck3 is character driven and EU4 is nation based
I already see 300 hours worth of playing but imagine if they had different medieval cultures/regions like greek, middle eastern, asian etc. and every one of those had different goods and building methods. Easy 20$ DLC for every one of these
Beginner's guide, but no beginner has the access to the game yet :( sad
Yes my German roots are from Ludyberg.
will moding be supported
But how will gameplay compare to Banished
Yeah, don't forget to build your church in your medieval village unless you want to be burned alive by the townsfolk
You can lose stones from the weather? Come on...
looks fine, but im not sure if its dlss (if it has that at all), or just a poor taa implementation, but i cant stand the ghosting of fast moving objects
Claimed by another AI? Ludi, do you need to tell us something? :D
I can't believe that this game is made by ONE polish dude. Who started this as a side fun activity. LOL.
So you can build walls around your town yes?
Yup
You don't need a manor to form your militia tho
Yes. Manor is for the retinue
I dunno. I'd rather stick to playing Caesar III or Populace: The Beginning. Just looks like shiny fluff.
Ludi can I add you to my steam friends
Letz playzia
more
Devs pulling no punches 😂 I seen like 15 other YT channel covering these but NONE played the hardest setup yet. Cmon bro
I hate you Ludi. I want an early access key too :(

Yes
