I've watched several review videos and let's plays by now. But you're the only one who shows how it works and what content the game actually offers at release. I really appreciate it, thank you so much.
Nova, this is a terrific guide and exactly what I needed in order to get the myriad of interlocking cogs to work in figuring out how to play, thank you very much for taking the time to record and post, you’ve made a real difference to all of us budding Manor Lords 😉.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Can't wait for the game, will watch a few more times because the fun for me will be role playing in real time. Knowing all you need to do before will be of massive help to really enjoy being a Manor Lord
Very good video guide, I will consider getting this game, just one note concerning the Barron fight, I may be wrong here, but I think you fought the battle in the wrong region and maybe that is why it did let you have it.
Hey man, I watched the entire thing even though I have watched a few others. I thought the video was great and I really liked the calm way in which you took that failing to win the battle even though you basically did. My guess is that the mercenaries moved out of that area where the battle was designated to be and so the game made you auto lose. That being said they moved out first I think so yeah you should have won. That's how the cookie crumbles with early access games, but I would say this one looks very very promising.
Nice video. I learned a lot. Sometimes the game have bug which building granary, stuck at 83% and need to put hold while completing other buildings. Damn my supplies got wet 😅
Just a small note, it's Granary , not Grainary. Its not connected to grain although grain can be put there. And btw its the best tips video I've seen by far !
This is a brilliant guide thank you! Best one for sure. Wish I had found this before I went into it blind as I think I have no choice but to start over now! One question at 23:00 - how come the upgrade plots don't cost you any wealth? Did the dev change it as it costs like 30 regional wealth just to build a chicken coop now EDIT: Realized a fletcher upgrade does not cost any wealth - great tip for accumulating it though!
Thank you! Honestly right now farming is so bad that it's not worth using anyways. I don't rotate the seeds because fallowing increases fertility faster than rotating seeds and also I didn't need to grow barley or flax just emmer for the wheat
@NovaGamingFPS Can I ask, @13:15 in the video, why did you end up placing the road more angled and closer to the original intersection? instead of the straight line? Do the people bump into the trees on roads?
@NovaGamingFPS okay that makes sense for future city planning. Just played a little last night and found your guide because while I take pride in figuring things out on my own, this was insurmountably confusing for me, as somebody who hasnt played city builders before. So your guide helped a ton. This game is awesome!
Thank you for the video! It is a great help for a beginner! You managed to cover a lot in 1 hour! Though you have skipped some stages where you were using your development points and it would be useful to see. And the fact you sped up and skipped some building processes, etc... was good as it would take much longer time to watch. ;-)
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear that. Haha I did my best. Ah I'm sorry I can make an in depth guide on development points tomorrow! :) Yeah I figured it would be best to cut out the slow parts
Yes very helpfull. What I find annoying is the fact you can't click on a waiting person and assign them to a task. Only doing it thru the assignments from buildings is ok but not enuf.
@@NovaGamingFPS I think you were in the correct region just slightly outside the battlefield circle. They must have had a unit rallied inside the circle somewhere. Maybe hidden in the forest? Not sure though. You certainly kicked their butts, but might have "failed" the coding requirements to control the physical battlefield control point.
@@ianboys1000 This is true, however the battlefield circle was in Seblitz for some bizarre reason, which threw Nova off. At 47:41 you see Nova clicking on "show battlefield location" and the circle appearing in Seblitz.
having charcoal not very good ... when it takes 1 firewood and makes it 2 .. and charcoal lasts longer for the people ... early game it's not feasible ... mid game onwards it is almost mandatory so you dont sap down 6 woodcutters when a charcoal kiln will supply the same amount with 2 families ... and a second woodcutter will feed 2 charcoal kilns easy ... so instead of 6 people woodcutting ... 4 woodcutting and 2 to 4 making charcoal and your golden even for making armour ... charcoal is VERY MUCH WORTH IT
connected to ... means on his road or on a road that connects to them that you built ... yep that means you can slap them down INSIDE your town as long as you have your town connected to the kings road ...
instead of letting the mercenaries trickle in and get slaughtered ... stage them outside of his land and then walk them in IN FORMATION with archers on volley fire while the enemy is not in close combat ... Volleys kill more than fire at will ... also having them NOT fatigued while on his lands removes debuffs ... since he is getting his own lands buff ... tbh trash the waste of money for mercenaries ... setup your own retinue and troops ... as they fight they gain experience making them better ... make them armour and weapons ... especialy hand weapons like swords and shields so these troops can actually beat the melee unit of the enemy ...
Video is useless I have villagers standing around doing nothing AND I CANNOT ASIGN THEM TO BUILD ANY THING. You can only assign people once the building is done but i have no clue how to get the idiots to build in the first place. No amount of clicking helps, they just do their own thing.

Wow ive never heard anyone say retinue like that, and ive spent thousands of hours watching historical doco's
Also you dont have to win a battle to claim the land, you can claim any as long as you meet the cost of it

I’m glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the support man
You should watch Lionheart, he has been doing a very slow paced game while figuring out and thus showing us how things work

Great video! appreciated being able to see the mechanics before release

Awesome guide, thank you so much! Also love the calm voice.

Thanks for taking the time to explain all this. Kinda overwhelming rn honestly
Glad I could help man I feel you

It really is
With this game and also Bulwhark releasing not so long ago we are really spoiled for unique indie strategy games right now
yeah fr
Thanks for all the info
You're welcome! Hope you found it helpful :)
Great Video! One question, why you dont rotate the seeds on the fields? Isnt it a lot of space wasted to not use the fields for 2 out of 3 years?
I think I wanted less area taken up with road and that was an efficient triangle

When they’re waiting they’re doing stuff I think they’re just chilling
Oh btw you lost the first claim battle because you were fighting in totally wrong region, and never showed up on the actual battlefield lol.
mans pulled a c9 on accident
Ah weird I thought I was thank you

Could you please explain why you disband the mercenaries? Do they continuously cost money to keep? Why not just retain them as a standing army?
Oh yeah sorry I forgot to explain that you have to pay the fee for them every single month so they get really expensive
@@NovaGamingFPS Sweet thanks for the response. That makes total sense.
Is the monthly fee the same as the original cost?
@@TheSupremeDiggity I'm like 90% sure that yeah it is
Are you able to move your homeles camp if you want to be close to the stone and clay?
No you can't move your homeless camp, but you could always just build near the resources and the homless camp will dissapear eventually
Do you have to keep families in storehouse and hunters/gatherers job? They get pulled out of the market once I do
Yeah
after a while i cant upgrade any house because it says theres no food stall supply even though there is
you need more granaries or more food
Thank you
yw i hope you fouhnd it helpful
My people will not accomodate their houses, how do I fix this? Kind regards Guido :)
wdym by not accomodate their houses? like give them the needed supplies? If they aren't you need more families in storehouses and granaries
I had a similar issue, if you upgraded the worker’s camp, they won’t start moving in until you demolish it.
can you freely tilt the camera? or is it this shitty auto tiliting like in farthest frontier?
Yep you can freely tilt the camera by holding the middle mouse button. There isn’t any auto tilting
@@NovaGamingFPS thanks mate!
@@CabooseAhNotMyFault you're welcome
Thanks 👍🏻❤
You're welcome 😊 hope you enjoyed

I got you buddy :)
