    Ngl, the time i spent on the demo was one of the best times i ever spent on a 4X title, the last time being in Civ IV and at some specific matches of Civ V.
    The UI might he Fugly, but I liked the general idea and feeling of the game. This is a game that has bad graphics but awesome mechanics, and I dig these kinds of games

      Tip: Build outposts and use the “absorb outpost” instead of building towns.
      When you absorb the outpost you instantly get all the spaces the outpost covers. If done right, that’s an instant 7 hexes
      Way easier and faster way to expand quickly

    Awesome that you're covering Millennia! I've been hyped for the game since playing the demo and it's nice to see so many youtubers feeling the same way.
    One thing though: Local Reforms is really strong, it usually gives the same amount of knowledge as eureka (but over 5 turns) as well as production, food, sanitation, gold, improvement points, culture etc. Spamming that culture power easily pulls you ahead of the pack. It's a 50% bonus to everything, so basically like +50% admin efficiency for 5 turns. I recommend going for it over Eureka at all times (except when you really need to beat someone at reaching the next age). Cheers!

    • @QuarbitGaming
      @QuarbitGaming  Před 2 měsíci +3

      That's a pretty good observation. I must have misread it the first time as "doubles the goods produced" and written it off. But if it does as you say, then you're right that's pretty strong for the early game.
      I imagine having lots of integrated cities would make it less effective, as each city pulls more weight and it only targets one

    • @jehooft8569
      @jehooft8569 Před 2 měsíci

      @@QuarbitGaming Yeah it's definitely an early game thing, in the demo I used it 80% of the time since 60 turns isn't really enough time to build more than one big city. Although I do see it being a strong ability if you want a city to grow even in the late game

      How is this similar to Humankind??? What? Honestly, the amount of times people see *ONE* mechanic (and often not even a defining mechanic) that's even remotely similar to a mechanic in another game and then equate the entire game to that other game is kinda nuts.
      If anything I'd make the comparison to Old World, not Humankind.

    Not being able to raze a city in an undesirable location is a bit of a bummer, though I can understand to an extent. It would be nice to have other options like integrating as a town for another city or 'exile' and give the opponent the choice of a settler or increasing population in their nearest city. Perhaps only allow razing in early ages or cause a significant diplomatic incident if you raze?

    • @QuarbitGaming
      @QuarbitGaming  Před 2 měsíci +2
