How did the several french dominitions reacted to the 100 years war?

Population is not a performance drain - the number of POPs is.
Growing the population of a province even 10x would have next to none effect on the performance, while introducing a new culture to a province would double it's perfomance impact - even if it's just a small percentage - as every POP would need to be duplicated.

That little remark about immunity is truer than you think. If you can trace your ancestors back to cities that were ravaged by the plague, there is ~10-25% chance you are not only immune ti Plague, but potentially HIV.
Back in the late 80s/early 90s there was a man living in San Fransisco who went to the doctors wracked with pain and guilt. The doctors gave him a full checkup and asked him what the problem was, as he was in perfect health, aside from some scarring on his arms. He said "that's the problem doc, I shouldn't be". Turns out he was a very sexually active homosexual and was also into needle-based drugs, no condoms, sharing needles. All his friends and lovers were dying of aids, but even though he was participating in at-risk behavior with them, 100% HIV negative.
They ran more tests including the new technology of DNA sequencing. Turns out he had 2 copies of a gene that affected the white blood cells, making them difficult to impossible to hijack by parasites. HIV attacks the body by infecting white blood cells and riding them to your lymph nodes where they multiply. By having these mutant white blood cells, HIV couldn't grab hold and would get flushed out of the body. Although HIV is a virus and Yersinia Pestis is a bacteria, the plague attacks the body in the same way. They traced the genes back to Spanish and Italian roots IIRC.
There is also a single gene version of the mutation where your cells get infected, but are blocked from returning to your lymph nodes, so they get infected and die off, leaving you with a cold.

I've done a research paper on HIV treatment for a Drugs in Society course, and there are other kinds of genetic mutations where HIV infection seemed not to progress to AIDS even without the influence of antiretrovirals. The mutations I am familiar with involve the T-Helper Cells (the specific type of white blood cell that gets infected) actually being infected with HIV and having the prophage (HIV genes) incepted into those cells' genome.
Instead of producing components of HIV, those T-Helper cells continue on working as normal, somehow inhibiting the effect of the prophage. These T-Helper Cells still have the prophage within them, so they spread the HIV genes around as long as the T-Helper Cells' lineage lasts through cell division. Regardless, these "Elite Controllers" (that's what the researchers called these mutants) were never able to infect other people even with unprotected intercourse.

Fun fact: In China the names of imperial Dynasties are usually allusions to states from the formation period of "classical China" (Zhou, Chunqiu and Zhanguo-period) based on the rough proximity to those states. Prominent exception being the later dynasties, that followed more certain concepts Jurchen-Jin and later Manchu-Jin 金, Yuan 元, Ming 明 and Qing 清. The name of a dynasty is not the name of the emperor! In fact there was a practis which made it a forbidden thing to use the personal name of the emperor (name taboo) out of respect. Yuan is obviously not the family name of the rulers of the Mongols (they had odd foreigner names that don't follow Chinese conventions such as 成吉思汗) as they were a dynasty of foreigners that use a different script and they all got honorific names or temple names such as "highest imperial ancestor of Yuan" etc. Therefore, if you look up an emperor of China on Wiki those guys have usually like 4-5 different names. Sadly, in EU4 this is not really implemented and all the Ming rulers just have the family name Zhu like normal humans - what a sacrilege. ;)

It will be super interesting to see where the balance of some of these things fall. War might end up being super expensive. Like it was. Total war was relatively rare, when in EUIV every war is total war, and it's rarely a good idea to peace out without 100% war score. Hopefully there will be better mechanics for smaller wars, with this increase is cost.
I also love the idea that trade goods matter. Got nothing but grain? Well it's gonna be hard to equip an army. Got nothing but iron? All you can do is trade it away, and if your neighbors don't want to trade you're out of luck. Try not to starve. In EUIV the only real reason you'd go for certain trade goods is money. It's 99% which one will give you the most money.
Of course trade was a major thing during this time period, so if you've got surpluses you can make use of them, but it will likely often be better to produce it yourself. And if you don't you better have strong alliances to protect your trade.

I commented on a previous video about how I wanted food to get more focus as a part of the economy (though that comment got deleted by CZcams). And I'm soo glad we got to see a hint of that!
So, it seems like there could probably be a build centered around exporting food as a medium-sized playing tall nation. And while doing that you'd get the classic playing-tall strategy of maximizing population!
It seems like the already-existing way of playing tall in EU4, but with more stuff going on, which is how an ideal sequel should be!

Also, manpower drawing from population is such a good change! I hate how there's no way to "put back" manpower into your provinces to increase development, though even that would be a janky solution. This is so much better!

One big thing I think you left out historically, though I can't blame you since fuck, 1336-1338 was a time when a whole lot of shit happened, is that it was the start and rise of Vijayanagara, as well as the beginning of the fall of the Tughluq dynasty in Delhi given the Mabar rebellion happened in 1334 just 3 years prior to the start, which was the establishment of Madurai as well. Tughluq himself and many of his troops fell ill with the plague trying to ride out to suppress that very same rebellion.
He wouldn't die until 1351, but a lot in the North and South of India was changing rapidly at the time. It's a very interesting period in general and I want to see how a campaign as Vij plays out in this new start date.

This is looking like what I've been asking for for years.
That being the fluid introduction of any manufactury or any manufactured trade good in any province, eh, well, location, I guess.
What it will likely be is importing raw materials and then manufacturing goods in buildings and exporting those.
This makes me think that they want to accurately simulate colonial systems, which irl were used as a way of acquiring goods, importing them to the mainland, manufacturing goods in the mainland and then exporting that back to the colony to make profits.

Another important knowledge for player who will play HRE is rise of Luxemburg dynasty and Bohemia. Because in 1337 Luxemburgs rules in Bohemia, by John of Bohemia. His son Charles IV. was Emperor of HRE and make many reforms who make Bohemia, basicaly heart of HRE and encreas of church power. Idk if this will be abble to EU5 but I think yes, because this Charles IV was very important rule for second half of 14th century.

One of my favourite mods in EU4 is the trad goods expanded which allows you produce new types of trade goods for profits and bonuses. I've always wanted this kind of soft system in a game and was part of the reason why I like Vic 3 despite the state it finds itself in. This game is either going to be my new favourite paradox game or make me super sad. At least with it being eu5 they're far less likely to abandon a mainline title at risk of destroying their fanbase's trust. So even if it's undercooked at launch it might shape up into somethign great all the same.

Little correction at 28:05 for the taxation. The current tax value(0,42 gold) is already the percentage of maximum tax value(0,76 gold), and this percentage is directly your control over the province (56%). This is different than having 56% of 0,42gold like you said Ludi, which doesnt add up if you look at the total tax base of the estates (0,4 gold and not 0,23). Then the last filter is the tax rate on each estate to calculate the total tax income of that province, which is 0,05. It seems that the big bottle neck is the tax rate of estates.
My guess would be something like
(Buildings, Ressource gathering information) > Total tax value > (%control) > current tax value >(estate population*modifier for each estate)>estate tax base>(estates tax rate%)> province tax income.
Like explained by Johan it seems that nobility and burghers are having a big share of the current tax value despite representing a lesser part of the population. Yohan seems to describe it as a dynamic modifier based on laws, privileges and power of each estate on the province.

It’s called Ablution, Muslims pray 5x a day, they have to have ablution before praying.
In Arabic this is known as “Wudhu.” It is a minor ritual purification.
It consists of washing hands, mouth, nose, face, hair, ears, arms and feet.
There is also “Ghusl”which is major ritual purification. It’s essential full body wash, i.e taking a bath.
Wudhu and Ghusl are usually performed after different occasions, but Wudhu is more consistently done than ghusl.

"There are more WAYS of getting raw materials".. that lets me think that you can attack other countries and get raw materials (either in peace deals, or maybe by looting a province/location). Maybe it's the same with food, and maybe troops may loot provinces to have food for themselves. That means that SIEGES MAY BE LIMITED IN TIME, if you can not provide supplies to your troops, as they would consume the location's food and then starve. On the other hand, sieges mechanis may depend on how much food the sieged forts have, and in general supplies. I would love to see this mechanics, logistics would have a major role in wars, which is pretty accurate!

6:03 You must mean Philip VI of France, who was Philip the fourth's nephew that inherited the throne because all of Philip's sons died(they all served as kings consecutively) without male heirs(well except for one but his heir was born after his death and lived for 5 days). That is also why Edward III's claim had some legitimacy behind it, because the last surviving child of Philip the fourth was Isabella, whose son was Edward. Making Edward higher up in succession if we consider that Isabella passed her claim to him, but if we presume that the system is fully agnatic, then Philip VI deserves the throne.
Anyways, the simple correction I wanted to make is that it is Philip the sixth that Edward fought against, not Philip the fourth.
