I bought this watch last year. New, from the UAE, (GW-9400-1; original), $190. Everything works very well, including the atomic time sync. Very happy with it.
I bought this Rangeman and modded it with the desert camo band/bezel kit. Looks great and performs like a warrior during my combat deployments.
I bought one recently and love it. It’s a good size on my 7.5” wrist. I highly recommend them. Probably my favorite G that I’ve owned. And I’ve had quite a few.
I initially bought the GW-9400-1CR and loved it so much that I wanted the Japanese version 9400J-1JF with the Carbon Fiber wrist band thinking it would feel significantly more upscale and premium and rugged.That isn't really the case.It feels almost identical to the standard international version there really isn't any significant difference(actually no noticeable difference).I don't think the Japanese version is worth the extra $ 130 I paid for it over the standard.
I am wondering if the watch band on the Japanese version is softer. I have 3 G-Shocks and the watch bands are giving me problems. They make my hand go numb and forearm sore (no matter how loose I wear it) The hard resin pushes against my tendon and it feels clammy and hot. Do you think the carbon fiber band would be a little more forgiving on my wrist?
@@ultrasynthetic I have to Carbon Fiber and I have to take it off for a couple hours just to get my wrist to stop being so irritated. So the Carbon Fiber version has the same problem. Trust me if you have the two watches side by side you wouldn't be able to distinguish between them, except for the fact that the Japanese version has Carbon Fiber on the band and the Standard International version has Triple Sensor marked on it.

@@ultrasynthetic No problem man. The thing about it is that they say the Carbon Fiber version band would last much longer, I don't really know. Other than that based on looks and feels they for all intents and purposes identical.

Thank you I will buy the Japan version just because of that strap means a lot to me I have the 9400 with the domestic version I do not like to strap at all I try to find the strap online and I couldn't find it so I'm just going to buy the Japan version with that strap which looks much more comfortable and there is a difference a friend of mine told me between the domestic version and the one that comes out of Japan so to me it's worth the extra $100 thank you for sharing love your video I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a wonderful new year thank you again your best friend on CZcams 👍👍👍👍💕🏆
I hope someday to own a rangeman, even I don’t use all the triple sensors at all.
I own two of these Bad boys. I have the W-9400-3CR and the GW-9400-1ER and that one some how I broke one of the corner ends that the band goes into. The case of the watch. So, now I want to get this in my collection. That is my EDC watch that I wear everyday. I will have it again. I feel naked with out it. Great video Bro.

its a nice watch l have the green one with the negative display l have others g shock by the way like mudman GD100 but this one is my of my favorite watches by the way highfashion can you show all of you g shock collection in one video and l believe that you prefer the solar ones more than the ones which required a battery .
I showed my collections many times before I believe if you haven't watch them yet please do. I don't have a lot of watches at a time. They always comes and go at the moment.
It's a must have watch Japan is developed an engineering so much technology into that watch Japan watches are the best right from Japan I honor the wisdom an integrity that they put in their watches they are a proud country to develop the finest watch known to man
My rangeman does not have such a rich color for the numbering and I also live in nyc so I never get the reception bars that stay on my screen. I’ve charged my watch in the sun, and I still can only see my watch at an angle otherwise it get blurry. The guys at the gshock store said it was cause the glass is the low temp one and it causes that. Not sure if it’s true. Otherwise I love it and it seems great but idk maybe the watch is old now and battery is bad or just the fact that watch is old. I need the watch for work and having to turn my watch at a certain angle to see it clearly is not good. Also the light is not as strong.
Screw that I just bought that same watch and it’s going to be my everyday wear watch. I went to a local jeweler to purchase so I had the piece of mind knowing that it’s authentic
The official retailer did not have it. They have only protrek watch and mudmuster thoses models are very expensive

I believe, one would come with carbon fiber strap & the other didn't. But for recent releases, most are just the same though. The packaging always remains different, Japan model always comes with special packaging.

I just ordered this today. Do you think this model is resistant to very salty water, such as in the Dead Sea? I'll be visiting there soon and was wondering if it's safe to wear in the water.
If you clean it (a deep rinse with unsalty water) after using it in that environment it'll be fine. Otherwise I could recommend the Gulfman, it has titanium as metal which is immune to salty water.

The worst screen contrast ever, yours seems ok though. Digits looks almost bluish in mine, usable but not pleasing to look.
That is unfortunate to hear. You could try sending them to get the display panel replaced or fixed. Won't be cheap.
gshock highfashion Yes, I tried under warranty and unfortunately they told me it's just the way the watch is, since every other one they had on the store was identical.

Marko Peric the main case inside is metal. While the watch case is user replaceable. You can buy those watch case online.
Lancer Shade nope.its plastic/resin case.thats why sometimes the lugs break if u put too many force on them.

Marko Peric you pro bro. Gshock highfashion did highlight some metal gshock. But no, not to this date about metal case rangeman. Will inform you bro if available.
+Marko Peric There are no rangeman in full metal case yet. If casio even made it, the price would increase by another 300usd or more. Not everyone could afford this Rangeman if so. Casio create solution to the lugs breaking issue by releasing the Mudmaster instead. :D
