    It's all about the passion for wristwatches. I am so happy that you opted for the Rangeman and sincerely hope it provides you with years of excellent service! Great review, Bob!

      Thanks Lee. I was close to pulling the trigger on the Mudman but after talking to you the Rangeman made more sense for me. It's funny, I have 5 or 6 "keepers" of all my watches and I think this has joined that section of my collection. I had a Pathfinder (ABC watch) before but this takes the "Awesome" factor up a notch. Thanks again and look forward to chatting again soon:)

    It does not receive 6 times a day, only once, mostly after midnight. The 6 means that there are 6 radio transmitters located at different zones of the world. Btw it's a perfect watch, i really like it.

      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  Před 5 lety +4

      My bad on that one. Thanks and definitely a great watch.

      Not a problem, have a great time wearing it.

    • @DallenRex
      @DallenRex Před rokem

      For anyone reading this these days, a correction: The watch will attempt to receive the signal six times, an hour apart, beginning at midnight. However, if it is successful, it doesn't try again until the next night. Thus, it will only attempt once if that attempt is successful.

    • @ludovicdubecote8301
      @ludovicdubecote8301 Před rokem

      Actually, it will receive only once, but will TRY 5 times, once every hours until it gets its signal.

    The buttons are steel. I found out from Casio. I really like this Rangeman a lot so I also picked up Casio G-Shock GW-9400-3CR in the olive green. I wear my GW-9400-1CR as part of EDC GEAR. The GW-900-3CR I wear as a nice casual watch with a nice pair jeans. You did a great job on this video. Keep coming. Thank You.

      Thanks Aron. I'm a bit surprised by how much I'm loving this thing. I'd never given GShocks much of a chance. I had a Pathfinder at one point and I'm finding this to be a much better option.

    Great review! This was also my first G-Shock, careful not to get the G-Shock bug. I have bought 4 since. Love them all. My last is the GX-56BB Blackout. It is bad a$$! Although it doesn't have all the functionality of the Rangeman. Also loved the blooper ending!

    I think that the lugs are pretty much holding the bracelet on, there for if the straps fall off is because they might not be on tight enough? I hope this helps a little. Have a great day. Thank you for video's and keep them coming. Thanks for the comment Bro.

    What I love about G-shocks (at least this one) is not that they look rugged to have outdoor look. They are rugged to do well in harsh conditions. It is functional watch resistant to all kinds of environmental extremes (mud, dust, water, temperature, hits...) and as a bonus it has pretty accurate timekeeping and good sensor data. It is outdoor watch that is menat to be used as watch no matter what you do. I am big fan of functional things, just because the form follows function does not mean it has to be ugly and this watch looks rather good.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  Před 6 lety +1

      NetAndyCz Well said and I have to agree. It's a watch that does its job very well and the fact that it looks pretty good is a nice bonus. Thanks for watching!

      @NetAndyCz Před 6 lety +1

      Hey, thanks for liking my comment. Got myself this watch recently, I always preferred waterproof watches, but for a long time I was without watch as I did not really needed them and replacing battery in waterproof watches is not something I would do myself, so I was surviving with phone. Was keeping my eye on G-shocks for a long time, but recently I realized I have to get a watch, and I wanted something that lasts and has some handy functions and this model is (for me) the best G-shock with affordable pricetag. If I did not have to worry about money I would have gotten the new GPS Rangeman, maybe one day, but for now I am super happy with this one and cannot wait to test it in all kinds of conditions:D And thank you for the review.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  Před 6 lety

      NetAndyCz The nice thing about these vs. the new is the price. I find the more I go up in price the more I'm worried about damaging it. Love the new version but this is a great value watch.

    Thanks for the review. Do you still.have this watch? I have the same model. Had the first one for years, done lots of hiking, swimming and everyday hard use, great watch. The lug issue has been blown up. It would take some massive force to break it.

    The lugz on mine fell out right away. Mind, I am not talking about the ones holding the band but the four silver ones on the top, pretending to be holding the face plate. They do not. They have no thread and seem to be there only for the looks. After lacing them with some Krazy glue I inserted them back into their holes . Been there ever since.

  • @KISH351
    @KISH351 Před 7 lety +3

    I've had both of these Rangeman's for two to three year's and I've never had any problems with the lugs. It also can be from where and who your getting these from. I hope this helps. Please get back to me when you get this comment. Thank You for the video.

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  Před 5 lety

      I review alot of steel watches and the finger prints really show up under the studio lights. Guess it wasn't really needed on the Gshock but force of habit.
      I think the lug issue I'd read about wasn't very common.

    I currently have one, amazing watch. I will be leaving for army basic training soon, will this watch make it through? Just a little worried because I've read in many places about the problems it has with the lugs breaking. I'll buy another watch to take with me if needed, any advice would be great. Thank you

    • @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces
      @TimeToGoTravelAndTimepieces  Před 7 lety

      I've read the same but haven't had any problems and I've beaten it up pretty good. Cant make any promises but I can only speak from my own experience.
      I also recently picked up a GW M5610. It's in the GShock square line and also has the multiband function. It's a little slimmer and smaller so less likely to catch on something.
      Hopefully that helps. Thanks for watching and the best of luck at basic training. Take care.
