The Victory Roll Brush Out with Snood

Here is the brush out to follow my victory roll pin curl set. An authentic 1940s way to style this extremely popular hairdo. You’ll notice how the victory rolls practically roll themselves because of the setting pattern. Doing some teasing and adding some grit to your hair with pomade will allow the curls to be pinned easier and last longer. I recommend using pins that are close to your hair color, or are curved as it will make pinning easier. It’s very easy to hide your pins by pinning deeply into the role itself.
I add a snood to make this a classy look. I like to have my hair with a bit of volume in order to fill the snood properly. Just give your hair a good tease and voila--voulme in the snood! You can always pin curl the back of your hair as well, but I find braiding with lotta body will give my hair enough volume to fill this snood nicely. Feel free to have fun with this hairstyle and add some flowers or bows too! I turned mine in to a tiki hairstyle which won me the crown at the Miss Back to the Fifties Pin Up contest!
