1940s Vintage Pin Curl Wet Set Tutorial

- Authentic vintage style is only a few (or in my case, many) curls away! Even with hair as long as mine, you can accomplish an accurate 1940s pin curl set with a bit of patience and arm work outs. This set would be easier on shorter hair and pin curls can be done even on pixie cuts! Any questions or technique help? Comment below!

Lotta Body setting lotion, diluted in spray bottle per directions
Pin curl clips of any kind
Paddle brush
Rat tail comb

I’m only successful with My sets when I watch YOUR videos .. Every other time I try other Influencers techniques I fail.. I appreciate that You don’t do all the talking LOL I’m more of a Visual learner, Kinesthetic learner & You provide that.
Also the way You present what You do to the audience is very Proper, straight to the point.
It’s rare to see that original type of “2000s CZcams” content like We had back then with tutorials. Especially in 2021.. I remember the good ole times when CZcams used to be so simple and productive. Around like 2009 I started to see this Platform sort of go downhill when it comes to tutorials.
It started becoming more about “using the expensive products” and all the distracting blabbing in the middle of the videos while I’m trying to learn something, rather than a proper tutorial given with intelligence. These days it’s such a headache! And then the outcome of whatever I’m attempting to create comes out terrible.

What a brilliant idea of rolling hair around a brush handle! I’m British so I can’t get the sculpture tool anywhere. I pin curl my hair every night, but all in the same direction. Although I do like the results, sometimes I would like to do something different. I find when I try to do a set with alternating curls, they don’t really come out too well because I struggle to curl in the opposite direction. Why I’ve never thought of this, I don’t know! I’m going to give this a go tonight. Thank you for sharing your technique. Wish me luck, girls! X
Thank you! So happy to hear other people do this each night too!! I used a brush handle before I found the tool! I noticed my sets turned out so ugh better when my in curls were uniform. Hopefully when you try the brush end to curl it’ll make it easier to curl the other way! Opposite curls open up so many styling possibilities!! I’ve just looked for one on amazon and found one so far! I looked up curl tool, and it’s funny title is- 1 pc hairstyle tool hair comb rolling pinned curl roll bang stand up roll brush vintage double head hair brush.... and it’s pink but description says green! Lol I’ll keep searching, as its also over a tenna for the small thing. Just thought I’d let you know we can get them in the U.K. too💋
