Mountain Biking Rockville and Surprising a Local LEGEND!

- If you live in Northern California and you want to improve your technical riding ability you'll DEFINITELY want to make a pilgrimage to Rockville Hills Regional Park. Chunk, Jumps and Rolls all day every day. It really is a fantastic training ground for gaining tech skills. And what better way to do it than with an amazing group of people!
This ride was hosted by Brian Gong. He's an MTB Norcal Ambassador with a heart of gold...and a Yeti painted white. He's been putting together group rides called "Two Wheel Tuesday" for the last several weeks and I just HAD to get out there and show my support. I'm super stoked I did. We had a great time out there as you'll see in this vid.

I used to always ride there. good memories of the 1990's-early 2000's. It's totally changed now. The main way up they destroyed. But to be honest...for safety reasons maybe for the best. But the crazy hill which is the highest one. you go down the steepest side with your seat post all the way down and you literally sit on the back tire while holding both brakes and go down the back side which is almost a 180 degree straight drop and the bottom has huge ruts which you have to stop either before you get to them or avoid or you will wreck at the bottom. it's crazy! I did it once. with some other dudes without a helmet. lol

Such a great area to ride! Wish I would have been more into mountain biking when I was a kid. I grew up so close to Rockville.
