Along the way they were joined by more superstars as they got to ride the legendary Repack Downhill with some of the original pioneers of mountain biking; Joe Breeze, Charlie Kelly and Otis Guy. And shred the trails in Pacifica with Junior Downhill World Champion Jackson Goldstone. Enjoy this 4K documentary has they explore this California city with its famous landmarks, people, culture and history - has well as many lesser known spots. "We're doing our favorite tricks, left and right turns" hahhahha, what LEGENDS.
Local SFer, and gotta say Hans covered most of it minus a few nuggets. But seriously we may not be BC, but we are blessed here.
OG GT ambassador! Used to watch Hans' video on a VCR, ha ha!
Wow!!!!!! Past, Present and future legends all in one show! Amen!!!!!
Awesome Video!!!! Soooo cool that you had Giorgio make an appearance!!
Dr tsoukalos!!!!!!!!! Hans you always bring the fun stuff!!!!! ❤️
Thanks Hams, Great to see the OG's, Middle G's, and new G"s. Those trails bring back great memories. I got to get back out there.
So great Hans, I can't even find the words...
'My friend Giorgio would dig this", I get it! Good video Hans - BC
Excellent showcase for SF Bay Area. Good to see senior riders still tearing it up!
Great to see the Old School Compete with the New Zero Gravity Generation !!
Double like Hans!!!!!!!
Thanks Hans! That was the greatest two-wheel adventure documentary since Steve McQueen's "On Any Sunday" back in 1971. It put a smile on my face that I am sure will last a week.
Great video. So much more mtb in SF bay area. Maybe you can continue by going south of Pacifica. Higgins Purisima, El Corte de Madera, Stevens Creek, etc. To bad all of the fun single track trails, in El Corte Madera, made by dirt bikes (in the 60's and 70's) are all gone.
this brought tears to my eyes
What a wonderful video - Hans Rey is a treasure to MTB!
Thanks Hans and Brett!!! It was freakin awesome meeting you on the golf course!!! Cheers and happy trails 🤘
That was so cool and spontaneous 😎cheers
I‘m riding Mountain bike since 30 years now and I know the true spirit from the early years since now. This documentary shows the soul of Mountain biking so great, i have tears in my eyes. It remembers me, that this sport gave me the very best moments, peace and freedom in my life. Thanks Hans for sharing this.
Danke Hans fürs teilen.
Agree. I cried once for the feeling of riding with friends, and then again when the ancient aliens guy showed up!!!
I'll be honest and wasn't expecting much with this video. But it was great and well produced.
Awesome movie Hans!!!!
I really enjoyed this video! Couldn’t ask for much better company, fun places to ride, music and just cool places. Cool to see you guys bridge the generation gap. Looks like you had blast!
Most enjoyable!
Tread was my favourite video when i was a kid!
I really hope you rode more of the super secret stuff around the same spots you filmed!
This is Sensational!!! 👍😎👍 Thank you Hans "no way" Rey ❤😎 for this 🚲
i miss the bay greatly. i have been everywhere they went to on this video
Really enjoyed the video!
At first I was like 30 minutes! Gold. All of it. Cheers!
Hope you guys found what Hans lost at 17:49 :) Great video!
Looks like a phone.🤣
Another wild adventure in the books! 🙌
Great video as always! Great to see everyone having fun on bikes! Still pissed of reminding when it happens to me... at 17:47 - When your phone doesn't agree with your life choices...
When I looked at the photo, I thought you were in Lisbon.
Hope to see you in Portugal soon.
Cheers.
GREAT video brother!!!!!! Thank you Hans
the ancient aliens guy cameo had me crackin up
I was crying!
Sick video. New to the channel and enjoying the content. My first mtb was a Breezer. I didn’t know at the time I bought it how Breeze was such a pioneer. You are a sick rider to.
Great video Hans your the greatest OG goat!!! Keep up the great work and keep the videos coming!!
Awesome to see my hometown on there.
Another awesome video. Thank you for putting this out in the world.
Another epic adventure, Hans! Love this tour of San Francisco!
Wow, blast from the past. I remember seeing Hans in Mountain Bike Action back in 1990(?).
Just an amazing video! Thank you guys for sharing your urban journey!
Marin Museum brings back the best times to play bikes! Hans, this is spectacular. I still have my vintage Cook Brothers from waaaay back. Wish I still had the old klunker with drum brakes and two speed kickback. Today, I look closely at Inglis and RetroTec for the elegance and today's geometry converged into a bike with a cause.
I have no bike problem, I ride fall down, get back on and ride more!! No problem... I appreciate you.
Love all of these trails. So sweet.
That was most enjoyable and you are right. That was a lot of Hall of Fame legends. Jackson Goldstone I have been watching this guy since his riding his bike to school video .And Brett Tippie has got to be one of the hardest working people in Mountain Biking
Ancient Aliens Guy was the best cameo ever 🤙🤙🤙
Looks like Hans' forearm sampled a bit of the Bay Area soil - ouch. What a treat to watch you two adventure around. Hope you got some salt pepper wings at the Capital restaurant in chinatown! You guys really show off how great e-mtb's are allowing you to have such an expansive ride in just one afternoon. Wish more of my fellow mtb'ers would change their minds about eebs. While I don't have one yet (currently enjoying my GT Sensor), this 54 year old basher definitely sees one in my future - hopefully the access issues regarding ebikes will resolve in a positive way, so I can continue my mtb-adventure for decades to come.
We need a list of the trails. Epic video Hans and Brett. I'll have to make a trip to the area.
Check out Trailforks! We’ve added almost everything they rode in the video and some more! San Francisco especially has a lot more to offer. In Pacifica they rode the cattle hill area (fast) and then the San Pedro mountain/boy scout area. Hope this helped!
Thanks for that! Fantastic Ride man, and the Legends of MTB you being one of them ,actually you and Garry Fisher got me into MTB in the middle of the -90 so good to se you are still an inspiration for future generations, i an now in my 58 year and an avid EMTB Biker loving it more than Ever, so thanks Man 🤠
Klasse Hans! Fritz
Love the educational part of this video. Really enjoyable watch. Nice work Hans!!
You guys are the OG!
Wow I grew up in SF during the MTB movement in the 80’s. This brings back so many memories and I see a lot of new stuff that makes me want to go back!
I love San Fran! Thanx for the video!
Wow super like!!! Mountain biking right on my backyard, love this place, glad I can call Pacifica my home!!! Thanks for such a nice video
Hans, Bestes Vid ever 🤩 Sehr schön ,vielen Dank!! Bestes Material gegen Winterdepris 😎
Awesome, found another MTB channel that looks great.

Legendary!

Awesome perspective of the Bay Area.
Danke für das super Video Hans! Bleib gesund und mach weiter so. Grüße aus dem Schwarzwald 😊
Awesome stuff
Thanks Hans. Great representation of the SF Bay area riding. All the best!
Sometimes its hard to understand how well connected you are within the sport. Thanks for your legacy.
You lost your phone Dude at 17:48 Min!
I think it was your phone!
good catch
Nice! Will catch this one, for sure! Thanks for representing the birthplace of the mountain bike! (Sorry Chico, Crested Butte and the East Coast!)
THE BAY NEEDS MORE SINGLE TRACK!!!!!
Crested Butte still has some of the best trails. 👍
amazing video. You picked some of the best and more importantly, least documented routes online that have little exposure (maybe minus jmp haha) but there's truly a lot of niche knowledge and very well thought out ideas included in the videos. I learned a good amount and had a great time watching.
Thank you Giorgio for that
Such a nice production. 🥰 .
wow! great adventure!
greetings from the Philippines..
😊
What a beautiful video hans thank you .✌🏻👍🏻
Great job Hans and Brett, makes me want to go back soon, cheers Joe.
That really brightened up an otherwise dull winter day up here in BC. Thanks Ha s and Brett!
Thank you. This was great! 👍
This was fantastic! Big gratitude!! Next time you guys come out though, hit us up and we’ll take you on the bootlegger’s tour of Marin-which puts Tamo and some of these other trails featured to shame. (You’ll have to put away your camera for a time) 🤩🥳😬
Endlich mal wieder ein längeres Video. Gut geschnitten, herrliche Sehenwürdigkeiten und schöne Touren. Danke Hans! Grüße aus Deutschland 🙋🏼♂️🤙🏼
Beautuful piece of america seen the best way possible🤙
Man you have to do one of these in my hometown, Sarajevo Bosnia. Nature, mountains, urban part, old part of the town, it has everything and it would be a sight to see and do! Respect for the legend!
Good idea
@@Hansnowayrey ❤️🇧🇦
Epic! Thank you Hans for creating this :)
Getting to ride Repack with the pioneers of MTB is the equivalent of surfing Waikiki with Duke Kahanamoku.
So what does getting chased out by the rangers make me? Lmfao
@@JoeBernard10 a poacher😂
Legend Hans, great vid, thanks :)
Sorry I missed the livestream...
LOVE IT! Thank you so much for riding in my backyard! (I'm 30 minutes by bike from Joaquin Miller Park.)
Mt. Diablo was THE long day in the saddle from Berkeley for the Cal Cycling Team.
17:25: JMP, home of probably the worlds BIGGEST ever Redwood trees - ever. Called the "Navigator Trees," they were so large, ship captains approaching the Golden Gate used them for navigation into the bay (It's VERY hard to spot from at sea). Well, these trees were all cut down and people assumed there were even more large or larger ones on the north coast. Nope, turns out those were indeed the largest that ever grew. And unfortunately, the entire stump material of these majestic giants was removed for shingles. If they hadn't been, clones would have sprouted around the stumps and "fairy rings" of daughter Redwood trees would have grown in their places. Such a shame that amazing genetic stock was lost forever :(
19:00: Side O! Haven't ridden that in AGES!!!!!
That was really great to watch. Thanks again for highlighting some of the Bay's trails. Next time you'll have to hit the peninsula & Santa Cruz. Then maybe a North Coast adventure!!!!
PS Eines Tages schauen Sie uns Ihre Heimradwege in Stuttgart und Umgebung!!!
Just hav'n fun while riding✌🏾.
That young kid is pretty darn good! One day he might even be on Red Bull!
Wow fantastic
Great work! Really enjoyed that.
Always the greatest respects to the legends! Thank you for making this vid!
thanks for putting Common Sense music in your video (again)! flashback to Never Give Up from Big Five
What a fantastic video! One of the best MTB I've seen. Thank you Hans for this! Please continue with more.
This is 1 incredible video..
The first part was very good
Dope video! You forgot carlmont! It’s in Belmont CA
Yeah, I was hoping they would go there. I did some of the biggest shit of my life there!
And waterdog!
Awesome vid Hans. Good to see Frorider Brett Tippie and Jackson Goldstone riding along with you. Good Canadian Kids eh !
Just hit like before even started because everything Hans does in two wheels is just cool! Super vid, great to see Tippie on ir and a bit of the MTB history.
Super cool video
Great video Hans. Marin county is a special place for sure.
Great stuff guys ! Keep it flowing
Awesome video! You absolutely shred!
Great video Hans! thankJoe you for sharing, especially this part with Joe Breeze and other legends. I visited mount Tamalpais in 2001 but the trails were closed for the bikers.
I've just discovered mountain biking this past year. I was born in San Francisco, raised in Marin County. A few of my school mates were some of the first mountain bikers. It was so much fun to watch you guys hit some of our beautiful Bay Area trails! I was unaware of the MTB museum and can't wait to check it out! Thanks for a fun viewing adventure with a great cast of characters!
Welcome to a great sport that's only gotten better and better and more accessible for new riders. Today's bikes are a riot! Then there are e-bikes for extended epic days!
@@dudeonbike800 we have several EMTB ; ) Going electric was the only way to get my husband on the trail. He's now considering an analog bike!😃
