Lorehammer or Yourhammer is a silly game where we each tell two stories of Warhammer or 40k Lore, one is true Lorehammer and one is made up Yourhammer but which one is it?

The Horus story is very close.
It's actually what happens with the 1st Chapter's Leader for the Word Bearers when they reached Cadia for the first time and obeyed the Demon summoned.
I dont think Argel Tal was the leader of the Gal Vorbak at the time. Even then they werent the first company.
mightily late on this but amberly vail does mention her children's book about promethium which has delightful illustrations of burning heretics
I love this even though it usually ends up in me thinking both things are true. If I ever talk to real warhammer folks they will get very annoyed as soon as we go into lore.

Rather ammusingly in this one, ben is right. It was confirmed when author the master of mankind was asked if i was referenece to the dress, it in fact...wasn't, it was reference to few old 40k novels being inconsistent about color of the fog in the webway. So it's a bit more boring, but it is a point for Ben
It's also wrong in another way. It's actually Arkhan Land who is thinking about the fog.

...I am seeing that dress as Blue and Gold.
I actually would see it as white and gold but only if I saw it for a brief second. Like if I was scrolling past it it would look white and gold but then if I went back to look at it it was the black and blue.
They made a white and gold one which looked horrible btw. Real shit gold coloring.

Yeah even years back i have always seen this dress as sky blue with gold stripes.

Ciaphas Cain isn't a parody of the WH40k universe. It is set in the universe, but its through the eyes of Cain and he views himself as being a fake and a coward.
How anyone could think the Ciaphas Cain novels are parody baffles me to no end

Because lets be honest, half the time 40k is a parody of itself.

The comedy comes from the fact that you can totally see the Imperium doing that despite how ridiculous it is, hence parody.

It's the only correct one imo. To shine that way, the dress has to have stripes that reflect light in a way gold would do. And the "white" part is light blue / violet.

@@SpaceDogLaika I see it as beige and pale blue too, but I'm not sure we're more correct, we're just answering subtly different questions. Most people's brains subconsciously try to guess the colour of the scene lighting, so they're answering one of two questions: 'assuming the lighting is warm/cold, what colour is the dress depicted in this photo?' Our brains don't do that, for some reason, so you and I are answering the question 'what colours are the pixels in this photo?'.
Normally I see blue and black, but when the video was skipping though images it changed to white and gold.

Ive watched so many videos and inversions and what not and no matter what. I cant see the white and gold
Open the picture in mspaint, use the eyedropper to pick the colour from the "black" bit. What colour is it? Dull yellow.
That's why the majority of people see yellow and white. The pixels of the picture are very light blue and dull yellow.
Most people see it as a yellow and white dress that's shockingly badly backlit, when it's actually blue and black and so heavily front lit that the black doesn't look particularly dark.
I don't understand how anybody can look at it and see a black dress without it being explained to them.
@@st0rmforce I have tried so hard to see white and gold and no matter what i cant. The worst part is because its actually 100% black and blue i sound like an asshole when i say that. I want to see the white and gold. It feels like i am just missing that spark of magic required to see the music and mystery of child like whimsy or somethjng

Also, as an aside not all people can see the same degree of colours, aka, you are colour blind, if you are so bad at seeing different light frequencies.
Its a sliding scale, not a true or false.
So some people can see far more detailed, many more shades of colour that others.

Mandatory comment
The question has never been “what color is the dress,” I have *never once* argued that the *actual dress* in *real life* isn’t black and blue. And I don’t understand why anyone would even think that was the discussion.
The question is “what colors are the pixels in the image.”
And the pixels in that image are *not* the same color as the actual dress. The pixels in the image are a very pale blue in the “blue” bits, and brown and yellow in the “black” bits.
