    I love so much that at the end of the prequel movies when senator organa takes the droids, he says clean up the astromech droid and wipe the protocol droids memory. Cuz he knows c3-po would tell the first hundred beings he met exactly who the twins are but R2-D2 don't snitch.

      Could he even though? Like...I am fairly sure precisely 2 people knew how to understand r2d2...cuz, I, for one, sure as hell aint understanding it. Like, he isnt bumblebee, he beeps...whos he gonna snitch to...his beeps could literally be, only, "anakin is vader, and luke and leia is his twin children"... could be the only shit he says. Idk. But I dont think anyone else does, either.

      @@JasonAguirre Sure. Idk. The likely hood of anyone believing it is low. And two things would have to align. For one to know that anakin is vader, and for one to trust the words of the droid. Even then, c3po wasnt with r2d2 the enitre time, and r2d2 didnt have access to most ui terminals in which to tell peeps. Not to mention who would trust a random droid. The foreknowledge one would need to connect the dots makes it quite unlikely to begin with. And, say all things align, you'd still need more proof than a droids words.
      C3po would be able to explain literally everything that happened. In a quick and concise manner to everyone he met, as he was literally built to do so. R2d2 could not. What should have happened was vader trying to find r2d2 or cp3o to find out more, but dude basically made his past dead, and purposefully avoided it. Let dead men rest and all that.

    • @54lolman
      @54lolman Před rokem +40

      @@thediethrower1803 Well there is a few things to consider in the defense of the Jedi, and I'll be going with the old canon here though some of the points might still be valid.
      1. It is not as if the Jedi don't try to stop slavery at all. For example in the clone wars there was that whole arc with the cat people. As they stated, they once controlled an entire slave empire until the Jedi finally put an end to it.
      2. Even when they were at their largest in terms of numbers (Like the thousands not even the tens of thousands). Jedi were rare enough that they were still regarded across the galaxy on many planets as being only tales of fantasy.
      3. Most slavery in the Star Wars Universe occurs in the Outer Rim. Its a vast territory where the Republic has little to no control over it and can give barely any support. Meaning if a Jedi wanted to rid slavery on an entire planet they would most likely be alone.
      4. The Jedi are pledged by a treaty to be the sworn Guardians of the Republic. Over time they would became more tied with the Republic Government that by the Clone Wars they almost couldn't act at times without government approval. This in turn would often mean that the majority of Jedi had to stay within Republic borders, and also could not act against slavery in worlds controlled by other nations.
      5. As is stated Jedi are peacekeepers and are meant to play the part of defenders, not aggressors. Sometimes, slavery just might be a part of a planet's culture and is not controlled by gangsters or some such, but is a social norm. In these cases if the Jedi were to act they would be the aggressors and depending on who you ask would be going against their code. Even if slavery is a moral wrong regarded by many if its a social and cultural norm by a society Jedi can't act upon emotions.
      6. Now let's disregard reasons 2-5 for a moment, and say that a group of Jedi came together. Decided to stop slavery on a planet and it was ruled by criminals. Now, if it was just a couple of towns here and there. Sure it would a simple matter! Yet on an entire planet wide scale it still not might be entirely feasible for a group of Jedi. Jedi are powerful there is not doubt about that, but against an entire planet of criminals the Jedi would be very much outnumbered and outgunned significantly and they're not blaster proof. The Hutt Cartel has sent many a noble Jedi to the grave who tried to stop their activities for example.

    So while I am okay with Anakin building C-3P0 cause it lead to some nice extended universe storytelling, if i could change it, I would have made C-3P0 a droid in Padme's service. She's a diplomat and he's a protocol droid, it's literally a perfect match and in clone wars he's almost always with her when she's on a diplomatic mission. And I would have made R2-D2's Anakin's cause not only is an astromech really helpful for the kinda labor he was doing, but he could be really helpful with the whole podracing thing.
