I'm surprised Souness didn't blame Paul Pogba.
He will be to blame somehow even though he wasn’t born
Don’t like Souness but he was right about Pogba, where is he now?
Injured
I've played the game
@@mufcok2148 Pogba had to deal with same issues, difference is he wasn't crying on an interview. Pogba was literally playing with an injury. He was getting Islamophic comments on his insta from United fans, racism from crowd, nobody cared when his dad died, never played in a balanced team and board didn't buy the right players. But ronaldo gets sympathy and pogba doesn't
Souness’ whole argument is based on a fictional meeting in Graeme’s head 😂
I’ve just been sat here thinking the exact same. He said he has no inside knowledge but it’s just what he thinks has happened. So you’ve created a fictional scenario and decided that’s a solid bases for your argument. 🤡
It's called a debate. I do think there was a meeting between ten hag. And Ronaldo. Ronaldo wanted to leave then ten hag said he was in his plans . ??
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think it's true could've sold him said he's a key man i think he wanted to do a arterta which is take on the biggest guy in the room and the others will get the message
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Souness and Jordan debating Souness's imagination. Amazing
🤣
Maybe the best comment I’ve ever seen
I was getting mad at my keyboard thinking just this. Why's noone pointing out that fact, two people having what agreement?! Prove it Souness! He's not a very smart man that's for sure.
not really as its just one of a couple likely possibilities...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"I'm second guessing here".....5seconds later....."That's a fact" ~ Graham Souness 😂😂😂😂
He didn't back the courage of his convictions
🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Souness' whole argument is based on something he chooses to believe with absolutely no evidence of that thing happening at all 🤣
But even if you believed it how could a player be guaranteed game time that's ridiculous.
Ronaldo problem is he's always had an ego the size of a house and now the star is fading he can't handle it with that ego
yeah souness managed to use his brain to make a logical argument out of very little unlike simon who is repeating slave minded drivel
so in preseason everyone thought ronaldo was in ten hag plans because he repeated it constantly to now suddenly not being in his plans at all, does that not seem a bit disrespectful?
@@mikedon5205 but think about it though asking any player to warm up 2 minutes before the final whistle is showing that you don't really count on them, let alone it's someone as important as Ronaldo.
@@WILL-rp3tz He probably was in his plans until he decided to spit his dummy out over being subbed and then continued to disrespect Ten Hag
@@WILL-rp3tz But if his performances haven’t been good enough and is detrimental to how well the team plays, is Ten Hag not allowed to change his mind? He’s a manager and has to manage the players accordingly if it’s right for the team. No player should be guaranteed a permanent place in the team, irrespective of who they are.
Simon runs rings around Souness. Its absolute gold.
Smashed it out the park 👏
@@CG-hj1cu his only argument was the power structure. Remember what cloughie used to say to chairman ? Or Jose ? Be quiet mr abrahmovic just pay. That mindset created some amazing moments in football.. So all Simon is trying to do is swing his dick around by pushing ‘I am the boss’ so compare the two. Simons outlook didn’t serve him that well.
Jordan sits there looking for the slightest hole in souness argument and then contradicts him. They are there to give opposing views. Jordan is childlike and has to look for the argument and has to win.
Players v owners mindset. Souness will always be the player

The contrasted handling of Souness is fascinating. On Sky sports he's feared by all, co hosts nod and agree with everything. On Talksport, Simon sticks it on him time and time again, Souness it speechless. Gold!
Souness has played at a top level and managed at a top level too. Nobody there has half the experience including Simon at Reading these situations. Simon has many points which is why he is arguably correct in his response, but that doesn't make souness wrong.

It's just been a culture shock for Ronaldo, who's gone from bullying Ole into letting him coach on the touch line, to being put in his place by the new boss
It most had worked because ronaldo was scoring goals and Ole was in 5th place if I remember correctly
👌
United fans love making out weird hypotheticals. What has ten Hag done to warrant this much backing it’s actually scary how much of a cult the fanbase is
Love backing puppets and hating serial winners, did the same with Jose and are doing the same with ronaldo. How many winners is it gonna take before the fanbase will wake up. If you don’t get it now you won’t ever get it
Look at the personal tragedy in Ronaldo's life of late and it's impossible for it to not to have affected him. Added to that the fact that he is aging in years and is not the force he once was will create all kinds of controversy and rumour. However to claim he's been put in his place by his new boss...🤔hmm that will be the day.

Souness is truly out of depth debating Simon.
@@Mark-lk9wg No, Souness just mentioned something we, managers, coaches and players, know. That it's the main reason players and managers fall apart. They may not mention it on interviews, and always come with little excuses. But it's something Simon doesn't know and apparently non of you guys hidder. Souness makes very strong points here.
Simon annihilated himself when he talked about real madrid and liverpool, pure stupidity from himself
How, in his right mind, can Graeme compare the city and spurs situation? And him dropping it knowing he won't face the club, manager or his teammates for a month is cowardly.
"I'm second guessing here, the managers made promises, that's a fact" 😁.... Old Souness is tying himself in knots here.
Graeme’s whole argument is based on a theoretical conversation
He is the modern Plato! s/
He’s so delusional I don’t know why talk sport even entertain the guy
This conversation probably did happen. It’s pretty likely though that ETH told him exactly what his plans were for him and ronaldo said “we’ll see”. Now he’s pissed because ETH stuck to his guns and wasn’t cowed by ronaldo’s bullying. So ronaldo did exactly what a spoilt brat does when their tantrums don’t make you give them their way, they escalate.
My god this is the most frustrating part. How can you be so adamant on a stance based on a hypothetical situation no one knows that’s happened and also all the literal evidence points to moves ronaldo has made rather than the management
He went so far with it, by the end I forgot the conversation was made up by him. Was actually thinking "bang out of order of Ten Hag to drag Ronaldo in for a meeting, probably on a Sunday, make him wait in the waiting room for 15 minutes, promise him the world, then not stick to it."
I tell you what this was good. I watched every single second and even replayed certain bits lol. And Souness's face at the end 😂
" He's been mistreated".... 500 grand a week. My heart pumps purple piss for him.
it's obvious he wants to play football not seating there getting paid. dumb c**t
You should get that checked out
Whilst most of the world would happily get abused and mistreated for £500k a week, you have to look at it from his point of view.. he’s determined to be the best ever! He wants goals and big trophies! Even at his age he has the self belief that he can contribute a lot! He’s already rich so it’s all about the football aspect for him
Imagine if pogba did this interview, God souness would change his tone
I think sourness is talking about a BIG player. Pogba who ?
He probably would call him the n word 😂
@Giantego 05 and at least pogba isn't blasting the club, takes the bigger man. Yet pogba had to deal with the same issues with ole and no backing but everyone still hated pogba. When pogba's dad died he was still get racial abuse
@@CASPTHEGHOST A world champion?
But Pogba is not Ronaldo, don’t you get it ? Ronaldo is the la crem de la crem of football he can do what he wants.
why is it so hard for these people and you to understand
As a Pool fan I'm quite shocked about Souness' reaction and bias. He is making an argument based on his theory about a manager-player argument no one knows about. Also should consider the dynamics, it's possible that they agreed on something which Ronaldo is not accepting anymore, or maybe his performance/attitude has changed so the agreement changed too.
Souness: gets told he's not gonna play
10 seconds later: becomes an absolute diva, disrespects his team then asks for a transfer request😂😂
It's cobblers. Had that happened back in Paisley's day, he'd have been sold before the match even kicked off.

I love Souness' story about being left out, and then put back in the team..
If Danny Murphy told that story, they would have been heckling him "C'MON DANNY, get to the point!!!"
I've been a Liverpool fan since '71. I find it hard to believe that Bob Paisley would have caved in to a transfer demand. It was well known when Shankly was in charge that Paisley was the disciplinarian, not Shankly. Paisley got rid of two of his best midfielders, because they trashed a bar on a preseason tour. I think Souness' story is bullshit, to be honest. Back when Paisley, Fagan and Moran were running the show, anyone who even hinted at considering leaving Liverpool FC was gone and replaced by the weekend - the good old days before transfer windows.

Ofcourse you have to make promises. The essence of a contract is promises on both sides.
Totally agree
Graeme’s only reasoning being a dream he had is actually hilarious. It’s satire at this point.
100%, Ronaldo should of just listened to Ten Hag. Play off the bench every game. Then at the end of the season, when United activate their one year extension of his contract, just to maintain their shirt sales. Then in 2024, when he finally leaves, on a good note, without ever fighting with the manager. He can come out at the age of 39, retire and say that he should of left United after the World Cup, say that he's upset he didnt play more. He respected the manager and club, but to the detriment of his own career. THEN, we'd see Mr. Simon Jordan come out and say that he should of in that case spoken out. "Don't come and complain 1.5years later, after everything didnt work out, you didnt play well, you were clearly not part of the managers plans, but you chose to stay. We see transfer requests rejected, but players try again." - basically what I think Jordan would say. Is what Ronaldo did right?. NO!. But, when you only have maximum 1-2 years left of your playing career you do what you have to ensure you are still playing at the highest level. And for Simon, he should understand did. He LIED to everyone when he was owner of Crystal Palace and said he had bought Selhurst Park Stadium when the club were going through issue both on and off the pitch. He said he that had bought it using some else as a proxy. Completely false, as it was bought by another company. His back was against the wall, he was running out of time, he needed to get people on his side. Ronaldo is running out of time, Jordan was running out of money, when you are in that situation, people have to do something. CR7 could leave United and earn MILLIONs many different places, He feels that many dont want him at the club, but they made it look like he only wants out. He's telling his side, before its too late.

You are absolutely right Souness!! If anyone has been in the locker room knows that players have big egos and thats what drives them to be better than the guy sitting next to them!! If a coach cannot be trusted it will cause a massive issue.. Ten Hag man management is poor and we have better examples on managing players like Ancelotti who has underperforming players with big egos at Madrid but none of them are unhappy with the coach but only unhappy with performance for example HAZARD is one of them and I could mention more players in that group!!!
Graeme is probably right that Ten Hag and Ronaldo had a conversation at the beginning of the season and promises were broken.
Timeline goes like this:
1. Ronaldo wants out but no club is willing to pay his wages/transfer.
2. Ronaldo sits down with Ten Hag who publicly stated he wanted to keep Ronaldo. I'm sure they discussed what Ten Hag wanted from Ronaldo. Ten Hag most likely believed he could use Ronaldo.
3. As the season progresses, Ten Hag becomes less and less impressed with Ronaldo's workrate and realizes the team plays better without him.
4. Ronaldo becomes a bench player, which he obviously isn't satisfied with. He begins to cause issues with Ten Hag.
5. And it all reaches a boiling point for Ronaldo at the Spurs game and now this.
Out of all of this, the only confusing thing is why Ten Hag picked Ronaldo two weeks ago and made him captain. I have no explanation for that.
Souness defends CR like he's one of his ex Liverpool teammates. Clearly he's doing that though in order to be critical of Ten Hag, who he desperately wants to fail. The irony is he has always had a gripe with player power, yet that's conveniently disappeared in this case, given it doesn't fit his narrative. Fact is, Ronaldo has acted completely unprofessionally. He also thinks this will guarantee him a move away in Jan. United should just let his contract run out and make him train with the reserves for the rest of the season.
Yes. Now just wait for Roy Keane to stick up for Ronaldo whereas when his mate Olly was manager he was raging against players throwing managers under the bus. This is literally what Ronaldo has done but Keane will somehow find an excuse
@@osr4152 Yeah, Keane will just repeat the same thing, that the manager is to blame. He only tells it like it is when it's people he isn't friends with, which makes his punditry completely flawed.
I agree with you but there's also a downside to letting his contract run out in that, that spite is going to cost you 1/2M per week!
@@sando99 Yeah, it's a huge amount of money. That said, they'd still be generating money from his merchandise sales, etc. And clearly nothing would irritate Ronaldo more than not being able to play for that long. They also could terminate his contract and refuse another club registration until the end of the season, given he breached confidentiality laws with his interview.
Even if he is one of the GOAt at the end of the day he is united player, if some player making a mistake I think there's no GOAT or noob. Even if the manager want to favor, his actions were long way passed bottomline.

I love how the likes of Souness & Keane constantly back Ronaldo when we all know if they were managing him or a team mate of his, neither of them would be having Ronaldo’s antics.
Honestly. Rooney was right when he called out Roy and said he's sure Roy wouldn't tolerate a player walking out on him like CR7 did
@@aikayu4570 Did Keane not tolerate Scholes refusing to play a league cup game?
@@aikayu4570 He was & I agreed with him. If Roy was in that dressing room right now, his energy towards Ronaldo would be completely different to what it is now.
@@grantmcphee5149 Yeah, so did Neville & they both admitted it.
Summary of Ronaldo’s interview for anyone that missed it:
- “Rooney’s a bit ugly isn’t he?”
- “Where’s my new fucking jacuzzi???”
- “Why are the canteen staff a bunch of old farts?”
- “Who’s Ralf Rangnick again?”
- “I don’t respect Ten Hag because he doesn’t respect me. That’s why he gave me the armband last week”
- “I’m being forced out of the club by the people that did everything to keep me”
- “I love the fans, that’s why I’m doing this interview slagging them off”
- Remind me to send Graeme Souness a xmas card.
Souness has a vivid imagination.
Imagine if that was Pogba 🤣🤣🤣 I would have love to see how Souness would have tried through his teeth to say the same things.
😂
The example Souness gave is different from what Ronaldo did. He only submitted a transfer request but Ronaldo aired the dirty linen in public. His actions is more vindictive and unprofessional.
Is telling the truth not right to do?
Imagine if he comited suicide with a note left next to it about what he all said in this interview then it would be looked upon differently. Strange this world we live in.
Also depends what's been said in private tho.
The way Jordan engaged into the argument, hypothesised the abstract of second videos, and induced the peremptory conclusion, is the highlight of an individual, who incoherently conducted himself into the oblivion and trying to capitalising without any virtue on the situation.
Souness is right ten hag said he didn't bring him on in the Manchester Derby because of respect then tries to bring him on as a time wasting sub against spurs, then he spoke (which no ones aloud to do anymore) in a interview and basically said the same thing Gary nevilles Been fucking banging on about for months ship 4 to brentford in the first half but gary wants to blame it on a lick of paint that was OK with the United fans but now Ronaldo is saying it you want to bring back hanging have a word with yourselves
This was actually was a very well balanced discussion that touched on every facet of the situation, more of that please !
This was mostly about a hypothetical situation that Sounes made up which is not even known to be true and was full of interruptions. So i disagree.
@@wg6948 cool 👍
Even in Souness's own story, he didn't go to the press. He dealt with it inside the club.
Soundness wasn't the best player to play football in his time
Ya but nobody told Sounness after 20 goal season that the team is struggling because of him and he is the root cause of all problems
@@instaboothnigeria2742 Neither is Ronaldo at this time, which is why people aren't putting up with his nonsense. In his prime, the headaches he causes could be overlooked. Now that he is average at best, it's not worth it.
@@TomBerishaj a 20 goal campaign is average at best?? He put this dysfunctional joke of a team on his back last campaign, it's funny how suddenly he's average at best. You know nothing about football m8.
@@tonythehappychemist he took them from 2nd to 5th. 😂😂😂
I had no idea Souness had played the game. Glad he told us.
Simon looking at Graeme thoughout that entire story like - did he have another few gin and tonics before coming on here?😂😂
So basically Souness imagine a scenario in a private meeting, then make an argument to support Ronaldo based on that imagination
Graeme isn't saying that Ronaldo is right. He's saying that he understands his logic, from an ELITE players perspective. And gave an example of what happened to him while he was a player at a top team when they were dominating football. Simon and Jim aren't getting it. It's a unique perspective that only a handful of people have. So I think it's worth considering.
@@geekaleek his example was someone promised him something and didn’t do it and he assumed ETH promised Ronaldo some game time. It’s all assumptions, he even said that himself
That story from Souness is so embarrassing. Insight into the man
Graeme’s points are strange. The ‘agreement’ was with OGS - ‘you’re my main man’. The ‘conversation’ with ETH would have been ‘I can’t give you any promises, but if you train well and play well …’ This is why he wanted out in the summer. He feels he has nothing to prove and I don’t blame for thinking he is a better striker than Rashford etc. However he isn’t prepared to fight for his place and is trying to get out of his contract with this outburst
Souness has made a scenario up in his head and kept saying its fact absolutely insane 😳
So what do you suggest is the scenario? Have you been a football manager? Of course Souness knows what his talking about being a big player and a football manager
He was talking about his dream from last night.
@Bradrock L he's made it up though hasn't he. He has no idea what they've discussed but kept saying the word fact. Simon Jordan makes him sound foolish
"he's the best footballer to ever play football" these English pundits are something else 🤣🤣🤣😂😂
Grow a pair child.
I dunno what’s funnier?
Your opinion or not being able to type out a few words without having to edit your comment 🤣
Souness isn’t English
@@VictorVonDoom. lol 😂😂😂😂 did u Even see the video? The other guy said this not souness 😂
I'm so glad Simon sees through all the bs. Basically saying everything I believe on this Ronaldo situation.
What that he was right to call out everything we’ve complained about for the last years of ownership. Then called out glazer backing Ten Hag for benching the top scorer.. makes sense let’s see what we win with rashford up front this season. More luck with Ronaldo backing Garnacho funny that.
@@cheekybum6136 top scorer? He was the only scorer last season, and given the chances he missed, he should've scored way more. Everyone seems to have forgotten his dryspell of 10 games, missing chances after chances, which cost us FA and UCL.
His performances this season are even worse than rashfords. Ronaldo is where he belongs, on the bench. His attitude only embarrassed himself. Instead of helping the young players and trying his best to help the club, be throws a hissy fit like a petulant child.
Ronaldo can go, his prime is long in the past, he can't compete in the EPL. He needs a farmer's league and a in which actually wants to deal with Mr."Everything has to be about me".
@@k4yser Why should he be 2nd choice striker to someone like martial who keeps on missing chances? And last season the team even failed to create chances and he scored many outta nowhere. So many others also clear cut opportunities yet they missed
@@k4yser But admit when he joined your club you were all over the moon. Every Manu fan was shouting all over we have Ronaldo we are winning the league
@@k4yser even worse than Rashfords 🤡🤡🤡that’s how I know you don’t watch the games. Rashford has been gifted possibly about 10-15 open nets so far This season and has either missed or smacked the keeper. Yes he’s scored but after being this word is special “delivered” he’s had delivery’s to score. Ronaldo hasn’t we are only comparing 4 games to 10 btw not exactly equal
20:44 ''He(Ronaldo) did nothing but complain...''
Buy a TV or use the internet fam. He scored 18 goals in the league. And won them some crucial points.
6:50 what a LEGENDARY story. Listen to the names he drops. 😱
