- full review of my new bottle of GLEN GARIOCH 12 single malt whisky at 48% ABV...It`s been a wee while since i`ve had this one, however the requests for me to review this made me think that i was missing out...welcome back to the shelf old friend.... lets check this one out whisky folk....

I wholeheartedly agree. Had a bottle of the OB last year and enjoyed it very much. This is exactly why I thought I’d try an IB as I think it will also be a real belter
First time I had this one was about 15 years ago...liked it from the beginning...been a few bottles through the years, and always really good. No big batch variations over the years, and that's really good, and not to forget...
always a good price, around€35-45 for a litre bottle were I buy it, I would actually say it's a bang for the buck dram🍷cheers
its just a real solid whisky and always a great bang for your buck whisky....
Alan, good tasting notes. Just about finishing my bottle. Agreed it has nice balance and spice level. Great proof. Very enjoyable.
Think will always be on my shelf now buddy...its a great starter whisky ....

Really like the Glen Garioch 12, did you try the 15 olorosso sherry cask matured? Would love to you make a review of that as well.
I enjoyed this one. I did detect what I interpreted as a slight peaty note in the first maybe quarter of the bottle. Maybe I'm just still too inexperienced in my palate or oversensitive to such a taste because I'm not very fond of peat, but it wasn't enough to cause major negative impact. However, as the bottle went down, that characteristic faded away and I enjoyed it much more. Would I buy it again? It's a good price point, but there's a few others I'd go to first. Still, I wouldn't mind having this in my cabinet again someday. Cheers!
I really enjoyed this one, it’s a good’un. I’ve just bought a Cadenheads Glen Garioch 11yo which I’ve yet to open so will be interesting to see how it compares
I bet that cadenheads bottle is awesome, however this is a solid whisky for the dosh Rupert....

On my Permaself a great dram.
I just pulled my bottle out of the stash to look at it. The color is a bit suspicious. But at 48% and NCF, are you sure it's colored?
It is fairly widely-known to be coloured. "Mit farbstoff" label added in certain markets. GG12 is a delicious whisky.
defo coloured, not a big deal for me as its lovely whisky....
Brilliant whisky! Not a game changer but a solid solid dram! Which one would you pick between this and Aultmore 12? For some reason they feel similar to me both in character and in being under the radar drams. Cheers Alan!

Yeah I highly do I think you might like it. Maybe not as hefty as the Glengarrioch but still a solid dram, would love to hear your thoughts on it.@@thewhiskyfriend
