I have watched a lot of tutorials trying to figure my livestream. Your video has been by far the best. Thank you for your great work
+Brian McLogan that means a lot! Cheers :)
Brian McLogan Thanks for information..Learned a lot.
Here to Record hi I have the MacBook Pro 2017 and the thunderbolt is Different for the input in the mini recorder what I can do ? Help please
Thanks so much for this very clear explanation!
Very clear. The other tutorials have only left me confused and uncertain how to proceed. Even the kind of cord to use to connect my hero 5 black to the Ultrastudio Mini Recorder became clear to me. Thank you.
That’s great to hear!
I can´t make my gopro7 seven work, what´s the right configuration in the camera to make it work properly?
Great instructions, very clear and every step leads to the next level with no conceptual gaps at all. Thanks for the work and organization that is quietly evident.
The best tutorial that I ever seen related to how to stream...
Finally a good and clear livestream tutorials!!! good job !!
Really good. Thank you so much! Well presented!
Great job. Very helpful. And I appreciate the effort in all the editing. Thanks.

thank you. you are awesome
Great show. So delighted.
i love this . Great infomation and thank you
Your video saved me from not only buying equipment I did not need but it saved me a lot of time as this is for my org. Thank you for your helpful explanation!
+Mexican 101 great to hear it!
just buy a usb webcam to connect directly to the computer. An extremely popular webcam is the logitech procam for around $50 on Amazon ($45 on sale)
Try using that for anything more than a talking head. You run into the cameras limitations really fast.
Perfect video for the new streamer! Well done and thanks for the tutorial.
Gregg :-)
Brilliant video. So easy to understand..
Best tutorial by far!
excellent video! Thank you.
thanks god bless you
This was helpful thanks for this information.

What an excellent tutorial, especially your explanations, very down to earth and minus the BS. If you'd like to expand on your audio input I'd recommend you check out the Saramonic SmartRig, it's capable of working with low and high end microphones, sends phantom power if you need it and is a very good clean, cheap preamp. Cheers, Dave.
Thanks for the vid great work!
Thanks for valuable information .
thank you so mucho, your video help me a lot!
thx, I like the fact that you give multiple option instead of a affiliate link
Very good explanation, i really appreciate it.
Glad it was helpful!
Great, understandable overview. I am starting to cut the cables a bit by using NDI Spark Connect units. It removes the cable but also removes the capture card, lowers the port requirements and allows more mobile setup.
It’s certainly an interesting device but I’d love to see a lower cost option. There are pretty pricey and I’d need a few for my setup!
Is there anyway to get rid if the lag
Very informative. Thank you.
If you have USB 3 on your computer the Elgato Cam link capturecard works too. An advantage with the cam link is that it seem to see different cameras without having to manually change anything.
thanks for clear explanation,
great help!
Very useful, tq
awesome tutorial love it, ok I wanna do this for live stream some rock shows... how can I get good quality live feed with out lag?
Great. Im missing 2 things: How do I get a link to the live stream before hand, so it can be emailed to guests the week before going live ? Second, how do I get the mic away from the PC control room and closer to the speaker at a seminar in a larger room ?
hey thanks for the video! what about the latency though, why is it happening?
very helpful . thank you.
amazing!!!
Thanks for this
great work! I wonder if you got the SDI connetion working with the Ultrastudio in OBS.
Good information
Excellent!
This was the best video live stream tutorial.
I need a cheap camera who dont need obs for a weather cam on CZcams what can I use?
What a great video
awesome video
Thank you!
Can we used black magic mini recoder other laptop (without mac ) window based system.....by thunderbolt to hdmi cable....plz reply
Thanks for this video.
I’m trying to set up my hero6 I followed all the steps here and it didn’t worked do you know what could happened?
Hi! Thank you for making this video! it is great! I just have a few questions. Am I right that now you can just stream directly from CZcams and don't necessarily have to go through software like OBS? I also think OBS stop working for Mac as well... If not is there other recommendations software? Can I also skip the gopro bit and just stream directly from my mac cam?
I do have a couple questions:
1. Does the Go pro charge while it is plugged into your PC for connection
If not, how do you keep it charge for events that may last for long periods of time?
2. I know you obviouspy will need a Wi-Fi connection for this but what if you're trying to stream at a venue and you don't have Wi-Fi what would your alternatives be?
Im trying to setup live streams for concerts
Great Tutorial dude! Question: Is there anyway to add a lower third in OBS...?
There sure is, however I may not be the best tutor for OBS haha I believe you can easily add a graphic to your scene though!
This is what I like to know 'How to livestream on youtube' thx bro!
Nice man, i'll follow your tutorial
hi thanks for the video ,when i contact the black magic mini not show to the sources why? can you help me thanks.
Thanks saved a lot of time.
best tutorial ever
thanks a lot for the help....
Absolutely brilliant.. very simple to follow.. great job.. I wish you were based in London so I could invite you for help in live streaming some of the events I cover.
Thanks for the video. What size or what is the laptop minimum requirement to live stream at church with one camcorder on Facebook??
Hi ! When you go to the obs I can see you are a bit lagged, thats how finally we will see your streaming with go pro? Or why is that? Thanks a lot !
Very Informative
What kind of camera and lapel microphone were you using to make the video we just watched?
+Richard Pressinger I was using the Canon XA10 for the main shot, a Canon HFG25 for the overhead and a RodeLink Filmakers Kit for the mic! Videos on all of these are on my channel :)
Hi I need to set up two cams would you recommend the Blackmanic Atem mini. Plus is there a paid software that is a bit more user friendly than the free OBS software.
can we use the same setup to live stream on a smartTV? Kindly suggest
Can it be used with a smartphone instead of the CPU
Great video...thanks! In general, is it reasonable to expect about a 20 second delay when live streaming?
Absolutely - I've seen anywhere from 10 seconds to 60 seconds of delays on a stream
Can you do this with CZcamss new built in livestream program?
Does this work with Lumix GH5? 🙂
Hello! What would you recommend for a 3-camera setup on a MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 ? Has Blackmaginc updated their devices for TB3 ?
can you let me know the settings on the go pro, i have a go pro black 7 and the wirecast or ops can't capture the input,im using also the black magic mini recorder
How to do same as in Windows 7 or 10?
My mac cant find the mini recorder is there a solution for that i am using old mac book pro
Your explanation was outstanding

Do you know how to add a time stamp to live streaming using your setup? Or any live stream. What’s the catch to install a time stamp?
How would you send audio to the live stream via a sound desk?
thanks for video do you know what set up would work streaming a live railcam for railroad? not sure of you tube vs own website, thanks any help would be great new to this thanks
Hi, huge problem with the gopro because when i put the booter usb in the same time, it's displayed a screen with the message i put the booter usb... And impossible to cancel it.... :( solution please ?
+Padel Magazine I'm not sure what you mean entirely, but are you connecting the USB to a PC of some sort?
Easy! Thanks!
Hi. Nice job man. Does this tutorial step apply to Facebook live streaming. If so what facebook url applies?
Could I use an elgato for an input device?
I like your tutorial it clear explanation mate
+Phakwan SDL Gabriel thanks!
Ciao, Thanks for these tutorials... I was wondering if you have any advice on how to stream wirelessly from your gopro (in order to avoid cables and be more free with the positioning of the camera). Thx again and keep on with these videos :-)
+Davide FRANCO thanks for the question! I don't know of any way to wireless stream from a camera without paying for an expensive device like the Teradek Bolt, maybe. Which would be overkill!
Awesome setup, this is very useful for beginners like me. Is there a better audio suggestion better than Apple Earpods?
+alex shadrack thank! I would recommend a USB microphone instead. There are lots of great options out there!
Any ideas on what to do for live streaming live music performance, but I tested doing a live stream and it was laggy. Even your Show and Tell test was a bit laggy. Any ideas on how to resolve that? Especially on playback, it is still laggy.
The blackmagic device wont show when you add a new scene any troubleshoots??
Sir what is source for live streaming in OBS Studio software.
Thank You...
which camera soport in this card only gopro hero 5
I would like to install an outdoor cam...from my street... with mic. And stream it in youtube? Any help? Still can't figure it out how! All outdoor cams are wi-fi and they don't have any HDMI exit but use SD-card for storage... It seems there is no video on how to do it :(( Anyone can help me out?
For that purpose you might want to look at something that is a little more all-in-one like the mevo or something. That way you could set it up and leave it running!
@@heretorecord Thank you for replying! I checked it out but... it's not for outdoor but just indoor :(
what is its streaming time can it stream 4 hours program
Please where can I get a thunderbolt for the ultrastudio Mini recorder but I needed for my laptop is a dell so it have to be USB type A
Thank you. But when you said "Under 600 pounds", i cried a little.
I like the simplicity of this setup. Question, will the Blackmagic UltraStudio connect to a Windows 10 computer or will I need an adapter? Will it even work on a Windows PC? I know nothing about Thunderbolt connections.
In your case - I would recommend getting a USB-based device for use with Windows. Something like the Magewell USB Capture Device!
