How does the shifter perform?
Where did you buy the shifter from? I had one on my Mini and it was awesome. I think I purchased it from Hard Motorsports or something like that.
He bought it directly from CAE website.
Considering buying this to replace my Hybrid launch edition I had since launch. Is there anything the reverse lock out cable is attached to or is it just integrated into the shifter and nothing else is needed to be done? After having this for a year how has it been performance wise. What are the differences from the Hybrid? Looks like the throw is significantly shorter.
Hello, glad i saw this in decent time. The reverse lockout works solely through the shifter itself. Theres pins you have to adjust and align for each gate and one of those is connected to the lockout ring which pulls it out of the way for the reverse gate. For performance wise, i personally prefer a taller position for it so having it higher up along with throws similar to a hybrid setup in its shortest settings is what sold it for me. Overall i highly recommend it if thats what you’re after because if not and you try it and dont like it, you’ll need to replace your shifter cables to run any normal shifter again. I only got to enjoy it for like 5 months before losing the car but enjoyed it the whole time with no regrets

@@weduhpeople8504 Yup, i was able to remove it last minute.
@@45huh I just installed this and is way more precise and a shorter throw than the Hybrid which had alot of slop. The pins just guide the 1/2 and 5/6 to go in to their gates. The reverse lock out I’m used to being a former STI owner. It’s the best shifter I’ve ever used on my daily. Another thing that amazes me is even though it’s bigger than the Hybrid, it’s considerably lighter.
