Potemkin's IK is a grab btw, but can be comboed into, so it's both a hit and a grab depending on where you use it

IDK man, I like AC+ and AC+R Pot better. Vaccum 2S combined with 0 zero frame HFB on block still made me burst a nut. Xrd Pot still paid for the sin of AC+ and AC+R Pot to this day.
Pot is still paying for his sins with that Vaccum 2S

Amazing vid. Though I'm really bad in Strive with Pot and keep getting my ass handed to me, making rookie mistakes all the time. Characters like Millia don't even let me play the game at all.

Great stuff but coming from Plus R, it's so sad how worthless Pot feels here in comparison, haha, lemme have fun with moves like j.S, 2D, 6P, Heat Knuckle, also more effective scenarios for safejumps. Hammerfall YRC is great of course though but his kit itself, mechanics aside, have played him in +R too much. Could bring up 2S but that's obvious.

Quick Question, How do you feel about Potemkin before his redesign in xrd?
From the little I've played in +R he was very cool. Similar reasons as well, simple gamplan, interesting and technically difficult combos, powerful pressure. I'll be digging more into +R pot very soon

Would you say he is worse in Rev 2 relative to the cast over Strive or better than Strive relative to Strive’s cast? About the same? I’ll probably play him anyways. I can put up with struggle bus neutral, if I have ways to TOD the entire cast.
Relative to Strive, at least the current season of Strive I'd say Xrd is a little worse. But he's much more interesting due to his pressure and how you can navigate the screen. In Xrd he's much more agile and can move better with hammer fall break.
About TOD's: he reality is that TOD's make up a much smaller portion of how you'll be winning. They are a very powerful tool but what's much more important to learn well is hammerfall break pressure. You get rapid fire pressure resets to constatnly force guesses from the opponent. When you get the Buster -> safe jump oki -> back into the blender. When you get the Hit -> knock down -> back into the blender.
You still do LOTS of damage. BUT not every single confirm melts the opponent like in strive. This is pretty much the same for a lot of the Xrd cast. Like in the corner it's easy to get routes that are 200+ damage BUT at midscreen it's more lack luster. Like you CAN kill off of a single counter hit 6H but it's tougher to do so since his combos are harder. He's still just as fun though but for different reasons.
The tierlist doesn't matter unless you're really invested in playing a high tier. If you enjoy him, you enjoy him
He's tremendously better off in Strive.
