Good job I had no clue this was your most popular video but this is the video that made me more of a pot main then I already was I got annoyed of fighting ram may and happy chaos that I almost wanted to give up but then I found this video again😁
Individually, Grappler players may not get the most wins… but when any Grappler wins, we all win. Such is the beauty of the Servants of Grab.

Real talk on this. Potemkins are usually extremely chill in the Mirror matches. I've had numerous times were one of us does something sick. And then we both respect taunt on it. My favorite example is me catching the other Pots HPB with my own. We spent the next round respecting taunting and Tbagging as a sign of Brotherhood and respect.
grapplers always have unmatched mutual respect in mirror matches
You know, even as a Ram main, if I get HPB'd or become the subject of a cool combo, I'll do the respect too. *He needs it*

The one thing I'm always impressed with pot is his ability to RC the startup of hpb into a pb very scary stuff when facing him

This video only reminded me why I play Potemkin. The pure, sheer, unmatched adrenaline I get when I command grab a cocky sol that overextends is just pristine.
There's nothing better than blowing up a taunting Chipp attempting to press buttons in your face. What's that? You used your overhead rekka and didn't RC? ggs, shake my hand. Trying to use your dumb diagonal command grab? Allow me to jump and introduce you to cross-chop...
This is why I use wild throw liberally against pot mains. XD

the issue is that the actual hitbox on heavenly's buttcheeks and won't catch people literally inside of you in some situations

The best thing about playing Potemkin is that no matter how dire the situation looks, we always know that we are just 1 command grab away from victory. Our morale is always high and we share our enthusiasm through hugs.
We also share the same braincell and it bounces between us during our matches, accounting for us jumpimg around in performance

It when I became a Potemkin main the most difficult thing to adjust to was the mandatory bottle of glue you have to eat each match, but now I can’t get enough of it.

I was at a local and I was one of two potemkins there... we both suck at playing the game and we got a match against each other. It was amazing to watch us fight over our single braincell.

I played GG once. I played a total of five rounds. I picked Potemkin cause his portrait looked neat. Some of the most fun I’ve had in a fighting game. I didn’t win but deleting a third of someone’s HP by landing a grab at just th right time is so satisfying.
The humor in this video is top-notch, I was smiling the whole way. Also really like the order in which you lay out options, ending with PB instead of beginning with it-gives a better image of the game plan.
One thing I’m struggling with though-how do you do quick blue/purple drift RC into potbuster? I can never get the motion input to come out fast enough if I start it after hitting RC, and if I try to start it before I RC I don’t slide forward.

It's tricky to do, if you look at the 7:56 there's some examples of how the timing should look, It needs to be pretty fast to do it correctly.
For many years i avoided big body grapplers because i didt feel confortable with their mobility, but i always liked the concept of grapplers. Thats why one of my fav characters out there is Alex from 3rd strike.
But on strive? Oh man Potbusting some poor soul HP into oblivion is like a morfine shot man. Great video

@@Proxic0n while I have you here, I know using cs for 2h into heavenly is a lot of fun and damage but I usually combo it with just 2H because even with it not countering it launches them so high that it will 100% connect, something to consider

As an alternative input, you can do 360P for potbuster (been a thing in previous Guilty Gears as well). I usually do this if I'm not karabusting, as I'm quicker with 360s.

Dude I love Pot so much I can't play anything else now.
I might get halfway close to being good with other characters but Potemkin is where my heart lies.
He's truly glorious, and where my early career I struggled to define myself as an Axl, Sol or Ram player (during season 1), when I picked Potemkin it all slowly fell into place.
Sure He was hella clumbsy at the time I started but...I started to like him.
I started to like him a LOT.
Now I can't say I'm the best at Potemkin or fighting games in general, but I love the slower approach Potemkin requires which I suppose is responsible for making me not as comfortable with other characters.
I kinda like Testament, Faust and Bedman in strive too but none of those hit the same levels of satisfaction as Potemkin does for me.
