Other charecters have to remember several different very specific input strings with tight timing and risk getting PB'd if they drop. Potempkin's entire stratagy revolves around counting on the opponent to mess up. This makes him unbearable to new players but near useless against higher ranked players. He's a badly designed character and needs a complete re-work so he keeps better pace with the rest of the cast at both low and high tier. As is he is Low skill floor, low skill ceiling, and primarily used by brickheads who soyjack anytime they land a 6P (11 frames, upper body immunity, works with or without a counterhit) into HPB.

tbh, people hate on modernd and simple controls but realyl doenst matter that much, neutral is a important part of fighing games and new players cant grasp that term of Unsafe because teyre new to the game, most people that stick to learn fighting games without playing have to have the humility to say "im suck, but i can be better" most people that drops fighting games in less than lets say 5hours, dindt even touch campaing, tutorials, all that stuff probably, and just went online, hell i have a friend that got rekt on Tekken 8 because he went to play casual matches and he was new to tekken (not to fighting games)

I started to play with a leverless not because I thought it was the best for fighting games and would help me win but because after several months of using a lever my hand would hurt a lot, which doesn't happen (or not to the same extent at least) with the leverless, so it's also a really good way to let people with issues like mine to keep enjoying fighting games

There's two kind of grappler haters. The "hater", that just do it for the memes and is just joking, almost sure is NOT a grappler player and sometimes suffer playing against them but understand that they must be studied and can be countered like any other archetype. The hater that was grabbed three times in a row and probably main rushdownd and zoners that is talking VERY seriusly. Normally they never learn of their mistakes and hate any character that counter the "smash buttons" tactic.
