  • I Wore Toe Spacers for 30 Days | Can they replace Barefoot Shoes?
    I've been wearing barefoot shoes for years but are socks undoing all my hard work? I started wearing toe spacers to see if they would help gain back my foot's natural strength and flexibility.
    Let's see if they work?

    Drop the video a like for me being brave enough to post my feet on the thumbnail. But seriously if you are looking at transitioning to barefoot shoes I highly suggest getting some toe spacers. 😀🦶

      @emmacunningham6333 the shoes that affect your toes are the mainstream shoes. Barefoot shoes do not.

    The spacers were too tight. Have you tried CorrectToes? They can be worn in VivoBarefoot shoes and they do help with toe splaying and full use of toes.

    Use yellow foam earplugs between the toes, or cut toe holes in a sock.

    Totally agree. I tried a few brands of toe spacers myself (cheap Yoga Medic ones & more costly Correct Toes). The cheap ones cut off blood supply & did nothing & Correct Toes were too loose because my toes already spread wider from years barefoot/in barefoot shoes. I'd recommend them for correcting bunions & similar but good old human bare feet strength work, enough time & some tennis ball rolling etc. will sort them out without 'special equipment' like spacers I reckon.
    My advice, send them back after free trial if not working out.
    Ps. Wearing spacers inside my barefoot shoes was impossible & so uncomfortable too. Great for around the home when just completely barefoot though if at all.
    Oh & well done for braving feet on camera though you needn't worry. I dunno why society finds feet so offensive. That's what's caused half the problems with modern feet I reckon. Shoes are unnatural. Cultural conditioning hey. Thankfully some of us are reversing that slowly but surely.

    • @PeteOnPurpose
      @PeteOnPurpose  Před rokem +2

      Yes, I think they could speed up the transition process for someone looking to switch to barefoot shoes but have been in modern shoes for decades.
      I didn’t realize how fat and wide my feet had gotten until I started filming them for this video! 😅

      What exercises do you recommend for the intrinsic foot muscles? Do you think toe spacers might help stretch and strengthen them?

    • @PeteOnPurpose
      @PeteOnPurpose  Před rokem +2

      I think toe spacers are definitely a great tool however I think wearing barefoot shoes or being barefoot the majority of the time is best for building foot strength. (That’s just my opinion I am not a specialist in this area)

      Also try widening your socks before putting them on, similar to stretching a washed shirt: grab the front/toe part of the sock, give it a couple of good yanks. Does it for me!

    I think you are supposed to have the round bits toward yourself, you wore them wrong way around.
    I have the same model, in my case relief was immediate to my morton's neuroma, I wore them 2-3 hours and then it bacame unbearable, my toes were on fire. Took it off and I could walk without limping for first time in 3 months. I'm able to keep it on 2-3 hours per day, sometimes an hour more at nights, and that was all it took to not notice the neuroma anymore. Immediate pain relief just after first 2-3 hours, but of course every case is different. I also massage the foot with a spiky ball, use resistance bands to strengthten the toes, and my shoues have a large clown toeboxes.

    This is like saying, I worked out for 30 days but didn't get totally jacked so working out is a waste of time.
    Just because 30 days makes a month doesn't make it a magical number that will either make or brake something.
